Description:

"I promised that I'll wait for you forever.Time passed and here I am, still waiting."

Yesterday was as clear as today...

As well as the words you said that moment.

"I, Arkint Hellios, swore that I will come back for you my lady..."

"And I, Atrisia DeVigne, promise to wait for you, forever."

Those were our promises that I have forever engraved in my heart.

Cliche words that kept me living up to this day.

I opened my eyes as I felt the soft gust of wind that passed beside me, kissing my cheeks.

It's summer once again, and still, I am here Arkint.

"Don't run!!!" Shouted a far away woman's voice. Letting myself glide by the wind, I turned to see what the commotion was all about and saw a small child being chased away by a woman much older than me.

They were far away but the distance between us is enough for me to hear them.

"Mama! I promise! I saw someone!" The child yelled. I smiled as I saw him close his eyes.

The scene was alive... and warm.

Arkint would've been happy once he saw me and the child inside of my womb. I giggled as I try to imagine his sweet calming face.

"I unterstand!!! Just don't run off! Please!!!" The kid finally stopped. He slowly walked towards me, wide-eyed, amazed...

"Hello." I greeted him with a smile.

"I knew it." He pointed his finger towards me. "It's you!"

"I am who..?" I questioned him. My eyes once again caught his running mother. "You must be careful child, you might fall." I reprimanded.

We are in a cliff after all.

Just a little bit more movement and both of us might plummet down the deep blue sea.

"Come back here Kit!" The mother immediately gripped her child's ear and pulled him closer towards her. "Oh God, what must I do to keep you in place?!" She hissed.

I gave out a soft smile. If my beloved came out, I'll probably be just like her. I will always want to keep him safe...

I held my growing belly.

I love you my dear child.

And your father does as well.

"Thank you for keeping him safe young lady." The woman expressed thanks as she bowed at me. She slightly pushed her son's head down. "Pay your respects as well Kit."

The child did as he was told.

"It's fine." I said accepting their thanks. I walked towards them with uncloaked feet and held the child's chin up. "I am happy that you are safe."

"We shall get going Kit, help your father fix the tent. We'll camp here for tonight." The sweet lady gave out a nod once again before the both of them turned their backs on me.

I looked at their clothing.

It looked very different from the things I wore.

They are probably from the city.

I looked around me.

These place used to be full of people. But like time, all of them gradually disappear. I pulled my silver mist hair back to the leaf of my ear and once again gazed at the ocean.... and the darkened blue skies that settled above it.

Once again, night is approaching.

Like those stars, my hopes will once again shine through. Another day passed and now I know we'll meet sooner.

I strolled towards the cliff's edge and sat. Letting my feet hang by the air, remembering the past this place had.

Lots of people lived here.

This is were the knights camp after all.

I was once a maid, a slave that no one has cared for.

But you and your troops were as welcoming as an ancestral family. You treated me and the others fairly, you treated us like someone of your blood.

And I loved you.

You were funny, sometimes even annoying. But even if you are like that, you are so kind... you are so consiedrate.

That's why I will forever wait for the unchanging you.

Everyone might have left but I will hold on unto our promise my dear knight.

I will wait for you.

I will never leave this place without you.

Just like that, the stars glowed freely.

Guiding my night in this cold but effervescent place.

The night continues to pass.

People are have set their camps.

And like any other day, just as how I watched and waited for you, will I watch over them.

I will watch over anyone that stayed in your beloved land, exactly as how you watched over us.

"Lady!" I shuffled by the grass and looked behind me. It was once again the child. "You look cold, do you want my blanket?" the little boy said with his eyes beaming with kindness.

"No..." I responded, enticed as I watch him. People never engaged into conversations with me. And if they would, it would be quite formal. "Won't your mother be angry?"

"Nah! She and dad already fell asleep!" He reasoned and grinned. Cheeky. "You are so fascinating mam! Do you know?? I also don't sleep like you do!"

"Why?" I worriedly questioned. "You are still a child young man, you must rest well, else, you will not grow." His tantalizing eyes shifted its gaze. He looked sad as he heaved out a small sigh from that small frame of his.

"But I did it because you don't." He yawned. "Don't you feel lonely staying in this place alone?"

"Nope." I immediately answered.

"You never felt tired?"

"I won't." I tried to gather up my words in a way a young child would understand. "Once you love something, you will never grow tired if it. No matter how many sun grows and dies, you will never stop striving for another one."

"Geez!" He pouted. "And here I was worried that you stood here because of sadness."

"Why would you think that I'm sad?"

"Well..." A gentle emphatic light befell his almond brown eyes. "You always seemed to be longing for something." He sighed. "Whenever my mom and dad are in their work, I always longed for them! And I'm always sad whenever that happens."

"That's right." I said. "But think about how close you are to seeing them as time passes by." I touched the kid's temple. "Doesn't that make you happy?"

The little boy gazed upon the wide sky, confused. Minutes passed and the two end points of his mouth reached his eyes. "It does lady! It does!" He chirped. "Will you tell me about the person you have been waiting for?"

"Of course." Talking about Arkint always made me happy.

"Then please do tell me! He or she might have been quite amazing!" He aggressively squealed as he catch my hands only to enclose it within his palm.

I started telling him about my knight.

The knight of whom I devoted my whole life into.

The night of whom I gave my heart.

"What's your name lady?" Kit asked, as he played with the soft curly ends of my hair. His eyes now brimming with light caused by the incoming sun rays.

"Miracle." I introduced myself. It was a name I thought would never be spoken out again. "Miracle Vinnette." His almost closed eyes showed me a familiar knowing flare.

"You know what? I dreamt of you alot of times..." He whispered. "That's why I asked mom and dad to always bring me here." He blinked slowly as he settled his head on my lap.

"Really?" I chuckled. It must be this child's imagination. He's almost asleep, he must be in the brink of dreamland already.

"Of course." He gave me a gentle, comforting smile.

"But how?" I questioned, going on with the flow.

"How could Arkint Hellios forget Miracle Vinette..?" He then touched my face, lightly felt my cheeks. Then let his hand fell my the grass around us.

As soon as his arm rested upon the grass wet with dew drops, did my tears fell on his face.

I combed my fingers across his red, vibrant hair.

I never told you his name yet you knew it by heart.

He never forgot our promise. Not even once.

Even in another life...

Ahh... when have I last experienced such a warm feeling?

Even with just my plain soul, I can still feel blood coursing through the insides of my heart.

I never felt so alive.

"We shall meet again Arkint Hellios." I softly whispered unto his ear and kissed his small forehead.

This time.... I shall pass away completely.

"We shall meet again."
