Aerlinniel POV

I wake up to the sounds of birds and a soft bed. A bed? I quickly sit up before remembering, Legolas brought me here. I smile at the thought, he is so kind. Shaking my head, I then remember I have to go to the Throne room and show King Thranduil my skills with my weapons.

First, I need something to wear. I overheard Legolas telling an Elleth to bring me some clothes. Now, if I could just find where she put them.

I start to feel along the walls and in front of me until I find a big wooden table. Although, as I skim my fingers across it, I feel drawers. This is not a table, it is a dresser. Opening and putting my hand inside, I find some clothes. Dresses to be precise.

After I pick a random dress and hoping it looks nice, I put it on. I then find my way back to the Throne room by listening for King Thranduil's and Legolas' heartbeat. After a short while of searching, I finally find them.

Walking up to them, I bow and  announce, "Legolas, King Thranduil. I am now rested and ready to show you my skills with my weapons."

"That is great, we will lead you to the training area." King Thranduil tells me.

"Lead the way." I reply back to him.

I follow them, and by the echoes, through many hallways and then outside til we get to the training area. Legolas shows me where to stand.

“You will start with your bow. Then I will have you sword fight with Legolas." King Thranduil informs me.

“Yes, shall I start now?" I use my voice to echo to find where the targets are. I now know where each of them is.

“Go ahead." He answers.

I take out my bow and quickly shoot each of the targets. There are 20 targets all together, and I hit each of them in around a minute.

When I am done, I put my bow back on my back and wait for them to say something. But all I get is silence. Then I hear Legolas say, “How?"

“I have been practicing ever since I was very little. I make sure to practice every day." I answer.

King Thranduil says to Legolas, “I think she's better than you." His voice sounds shocked but impressed. I must of hit every target in the middle.

“Thank you. Am I doing sword fighting now?" I say while unsheathing my sword.

“Yes, Legolas go on." He says to Legolas.

Legolas approaches me and I can hear him unsheathe his sword. “Begin." I say. I decide to go easy on him at first to see how good he is.

He is actually really good, I am now going to give him all I got. He goes at me with his sword and twirl out of the way. I grab his shoulder and jump over him, so now his back is facing me.

I use my leg to knock him over and fall on the ground. I grab his sword and put both his and my sword to his neck. “You must be the most amazing fighter ever next to Legolas!" King Thranduil says, very excited. “How would you like to be captain of the guard, Aerlinniel?"

I was so happy at how nice he was. “Sure, I would love to. But could it be in a few years? I want to be able to get used to being here first." I say, helping Legolas up and giving him his sword back.

“That would be fine." King Thranduil says.

I bow to Legolas, “You did a wonderful job, Prince Legolas." I praise him.

“You too, Aerlinniel." He says and I can tell that he is smiling, I give him a smile back.
