“Happy 2,869th Birthday, Legolas!"

“Thank you, Aerlinniel." He says back. “Whose idea was this?"

“Your Ada's. Be asked Tauriel and I if we could set up the party for you. Do you like how we did the decorations?" I ask him. Tauriel and I took different colored material, and hung them around the room. We also used the material to make different designs of different kinds of animals. A few of the animals are horses, eagles and butterflies.

“I think you two did an Amazing job!"

“Thank you, Legolas." Tauriel and I said at the same time, as she had just walked over here.

“Happy birthday to you, mellon nin." Tauriel says to Legolas.

Before Legolas could say anything, King Thranduil walked over. “Happy birthday, my ion! (son) I love you." He says. I can imagine him giving Legolas a hug.

“I love you too, Ada." Legolas says back to him.

“This is for you." King Thranduil says while giving something to Legolas. “It was your mother's necklace. I thought that you would like to have it."

“Thank you so much, Ada!" He says.

“I also have something for you." I hear her pull out what she is giving to Legolas. I, of course, already know what it is cause she told me.

“Ah, a new sheath for my arrows! Thank you Tauriel." Legolas says.

“I knew that you needed a new one, since your old one is falling apart." She says.

“I have something for you too." I tell him. “Be right back."

I take off back to my room and grad what I made for Legolas. I sure hope he likes it. I get back to the room we are having Legolas' Party in and I head to where his heartbeats is.

“Here you go." I say, handing it to him and giving him a big smile.

“Wow. This is such a nice bow! Where did you get it?" Legolas asks me with excitement, and I can tell he really likes it.

“I made it myself. My father taught me how to make both bows and arrows when I was young." I say.

“That is so awesome! Thank you Aerlinniel!" He says to me.

Then he does something completely unexpected. He gives me a hug. I am so shocked at first that I do nothing, but then I hug him back. I feel the heat rise to my cheeks as we pull away. I hope he does not notice.

I hear Tauriel and Faelwen as they walk over. Music starts to play. “May I have this dance?" Legolas asks, but I don't know to whom.

Then Tauriel says, “Of course!" I hear their footsteps as they dance away from Faelwen and I.

“You were blushing." She says.

I put my hands to my cheeks and ask her, “Really?"

“Yes." She says.

“I could not tell to whom Legolas was asking to dance. I was so nervous." I tell her.

“I will give you a nudge if someone does ask you to dance." She promises me.

“Thank you Faelwen! You truly are a great friend!" I say.

The music ends and I hear someone else ask Tauriel to dance. Legolas walks back over to us. His heartbeat growing louder with ever step he takes closer. Until he finally reaches us. He has such a  joyful presence surrounding him, most likely because he is so happy and having such a great time.

The music begins to play again and I hear Legolas ask, “Would you like to dance?" Faelwen gives me a nudge, just like she promised.

“I would love to Legolas, but I do not know how." I say to him. Of all the things my parents taught me, dancing was not one of them.

“Don't worry about it, I will teach you." He says, taking my hand. “Just follow my lead."

After a while of instructions from Legolas, I finally get it. And I am having a great time. Who knew dancing could be so much fun?

“Are you having a good time?" I ask Legolas.

“Yes! So far, I think this could be the best day of my life." He says joyfully.

“That's Great. And Legolas, thank you." I say.

“For what?" He asks slightly confused.

“For everything you have done for me. You have given me a place to call home. And after I have been alone all the years, I now have friends. It is more than I could of ever hoped for. Thank you so much Legolas!" I say to him with tears forming in my eyes.

“There is no need to thank me." He says, probably remembering what had happened when we first met. He knows I forgive him, but I can tell he is having trouble forgiving himself.

“Yes there is, Legolas. Again, I thank you for everything you have done for me, it really means a lot and I would not have it any other way!"

“You are such an amazing person, Aerlinniel! I an so glad to be your friend."

Yes, I know there has not been a lot of drama. But that is coming up. I decided to make a few nice happy chapters before the bad things started to happen. I hope that you have enjoyed this update! :)
