Author's note: I forgot to mention that in this fic Ash, Clemont Serena are aged up up to sixteen to seventeen years old the only person who haven't aged yet is Bonnie, for...reason with that enjoy the story~

Third Person's POV

Weeks gone by almost a month and he won another Showcase in Vanille Town with his Pokémon stunningly improving their skill and moves as for right now Shoyo's having a video call with his cousin from the Hoenn Region.

"Hey Sho, it's been a while!" A brunette female greeted.

Shoyo smiles "Hello to you too, May how's everything doing in Johto?" he asks.

May smiles and shows him the trophy "Shoyo, officially you can call me Top coordinator!" she states.

Shoyo smiles brightly "Wow, May congratulations!" he praised his cousin.

May smiles back "thanks, all that hard work really worth the amount of time Blaziken and the others work, I can't be even proud of them" she stated.

Shoyo giggles "Yeah, you can put it that way, guess what May, Buneary and Torchic evolved as well, they're both now a Combusken and a Lopunny" he tells his cousin.

"I saw your Poké vision, can't be even more happy of you" she responds "So any new Pokémon on your team you caught?" she then asks.

Shoyo looks sad "Unfortunately I haven't, there was this Emolga I almost caught but it got away when it used Volt Switch on us" he said depressively.

"That's too bad... but don't worry as a friend always said, there's always a next time" 

Shoyo nods "Yeah! I don't give up that easily, and I learn that the hard way!" Shoyo claims.

May smile before looking outside of her booth "I've got to get going now, the boat to Hoenn will be sailing off in five minutes" she informs Shoyo.

The brunette boy nods "Sure, say hi to Max, Aunt Caroline, and Uncle Norman for me" he said

The two then end their call as he walks out of the Pokémon Center and decides to look for a new Pokémon "Alright new Pokémon here I come!" Shoyo stated before running off through the forest.

-three hours later-

Shoyo's laying on the ground face first groaning in disappointment.

"I've been looking for a Pokémon for three hours straight and still couldn't find one" Shoyo complains before sitting up with his legs crossed "Now how can I be able to look for Pokémon in this ghost town of a forest!?" he questions out of annoyance before he sees a Bunnelby and Eevee running by him, but they stopped, and they see Shoyo which made them look with admiration.

"H-Hello?" he greets out of confusion before hearing a familiar voice on his right making Shoyo stand up

"How rude to run away!" Jessie yells accusingly.

"Right! Now hand Cool James over!" James adds.

Bunnelby puts Dedenne and a green strange looking Pokémon which Shoyo was surprised that he has never seen it before.

Bunnelby goes to battle Team Rocket, but Shoyo stops it "I got this, leave this to me" he said.

"Someone's got a big mouth" Meowth said angrily.

"Isn't that Shoyo the Kalos Prince?" James questioned.

Shoyo looks taken a back "Is that what people were calling me these past weeks?" he questions himself but shrugs "I'll figure later, but right now, You're attempting to capture Pokémon for your evil need, and sorry to disappoint you but that's not going to happen, not with these guys at least" he said.

Bunnelby, Dedenne, the green Squishy Pokémon and Eevee look up at the trainer in awe.

Shoyo looks down on them "Don't worry, I'll make sure you don't get into trouble, okay?" he said with a calm reassuring voice which Bunnelby looks at the other Pokémon talking to them which they look back at Shoyo and nod. Shoyo smiles at them "thank you for putting your faith in me" he thanked the Pokémon

"Teach them some manners, Gourgeist!" she calls as a New Pokémon appears before her Shoyo looks surprised as he pulls out his Pokédex.

"Gourgeist, the Pumpkin Pokémon, and the evolved form of Pumpkaboo. Gourgeist wander through town at the new moon, surrounding their prey with their arms which resemble hair."

'That must be her Pumpkaboo after it evolved' Shoyo thought.

"Inkay join the fray!" James calls at Inkay appears.

"Okay, Let's see how you like to face them, Combusken, Lopunny is show time!"

Then two Pokémon appears before them

Shiny Combusken is a bipedal, chicken-like Pokémon. Most of its upper body is lighter shade of yellow, while most of the lower body is red. A red pointed design adorns the center of its waist at the dividing line of the two colors. It has dark red eyes and a short, wide beak. There is a feather crest on top of its head with three red points. Its tail is short and pointed. It has three, sharp claws at the ends of its long arms, and scaly, gray legs with well-developed thighs covered in shaggy feathers

Meanwhile Lopunny is a bipedal, rabbit-like Pokémon with a dark brown fur and a short, round tail. It has pink eyes with black markings on the inner edge, long tufts of cream-colored fur above its eyes, and a small, pink nose. Similar tufts of fluffy cream-colored fur cover its wrists, lower legs, and the ends of its long ears, which bend shortly above its head. Lopunny is very proud of these ears and never fails to groom them. If the ears are roughly handled, Lopunny will kick in retaliation. In addition, it has a strange charm around it's neck with a strange stone

"Show us what you got" Shoyo challenges.

"Inkay, use Tackle!" James calls. 

"Sky Uppercut!" Shoyo calls back.

Inkay charges at Combusken with Tackle which the Chick Pokémon ducks while its claws glow light blue. It then uppercuts the Dark-Type Pokémon, leaving a white trail behind its claws.

"Show them your Shadow Ball!" Jessie commands.

Gourgeist forms a ball of black and purple energy with black static around it. It then fires the ball at the opposing Pokémon.

"Lopunny! Ice Beam, go!"

Forms a light blue ball of energy in front of its mouth and fires multiple light blue beams of energy from the ball at overpowering the Shadow ball hitting the Grass and Ghost-type causing it to be frozen solid.

That's when a green blur rolls by him startling him and his Pokémon and hits Team Rocket blasting them off.

"We're blasting off again!" they yelled.

"What was that?" he questions.

"There they are!" a voice is heard from behind the brunette he turns and sees Serena and her friend running up while Bunnelby, Eevee and the other two Pokémon run up to them.

"Eevee, I'm glad you're okay" Serena said with relief.

"I'm proud of you Bunnelby" the Blonde said proudly at the Normal Type Pokémon.

Bonnie then looks at Shoyo "Hey is Shoyo!"

Now everyone's attention went on the brunette boy who blushes shyly "u-um... Hi" he awkwardly greets them.

Serena then runs up to him before bowing to the boy "I didn't get to thank you for Saving Braixen that day!" she thanked him.

"Braixen?" he repeated before realizing who she meant "Oh so your Fennekin evolved?" he questions in which Serena nods.

"I wanted to thank you that day but you were gone already"

Shoyo blushes out of embarrassment "Y-Yeah, sorry about that" he apologized.

Serena then notices Combusken and Lopunny "your Torchic and Buneary evolved!" she states with awe making the boy's Pokémon smile at her.

"Ken!/Lop!" they cry in greeting.

Serena then pulls out her Pokédex to check on the Pokémon before her.

"Combusken, the Young Fowl Pokémon. And the evolved form of Torchic. Its quick, powerful kicking legs can deliver as many as ten kicks per second."

"Lopunny, the Rabbit Pokémon. And the evolved form of Buneary. The ears appear to be delicate. If they are touched roughly, it kicks with its graceful legs."

"Yeah, the two evolved not long after I won my second key, I only need one more key to enter the master class" he said.

Serena nods "I'm planning training hard on enter the next one" she explains.

Shoyo smiles "Alright, I'll be looking forward to it" he said.

Then Serena realizes "Oh right! We haven't formally introduced ourselves!" She said before smiling "My name is Serena, is nice to finally meet you, Shoyo" she said

Shoyo smiles "is nice to meet you too, Serena" he replies before looking down at Pancham who looks up at him with sparkles in his eyes "nice to see you're doing good, Pancham" he then tells the Playful Pokémon who then jumps on Shoyo's face and snuggles him.

"P-Pancham!" Serena panics but relaxes when she hears Shoyo laughing.

"I'm also happy to see you" Shoyo muffles though Pancham's tiny body before pulling Pancham off his face and putting the Pokémon down

"Nice to meet you, Shoyo; my name is Ash, and this is my partner Pikachu" the ravenette boy named Ash introduces himself.

Ash is a skinny, slender preteen with black hair, slightly tan skin, and brown eyes with two distinctive lightning bolt-like markings for cheeks underneath each eye. Ash wore a black T-shirt under a blue collared shirt with short sleeves and white trim, darker blue jeans, a red and white hat, and red high-top sneakers. Ash also wears black with red borders fingerless gloves.

"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu cries in greeting.

"My name is Bonnie" the little girl introduces herself as Bonnie.

She is a small and slender young girl with shiny golden-blonde hair tied in a side ponytail with an orange band, and sky-blue eyes. She wears a brown short-sleeved top with a soft black ribbon tied into a bow on the neckline, knee-length black compression shorts covered by a puffy white mini skirt resembling a cloud, pink colored Mary Jane shoes and a yellow shoulder bag.

"This is my big brother" Bonnie then points at the other blonde in the group.

"I'm Clemont, nice to meet you" Clemont introduces himself.

Shoyo smile "Nice to meet you too" he responds.

Clemont is a short and skinny young boy with fair skin, blue eyes, and messy medium-length bright yellow hair with a lightning-bolt shaped tuft on top. Outfit-wise, Clemont wears clothes that make him resemble a stereotypical geek or nerd. His outfit consists of large round glasses which obscure his eyes, black shoes with white soles, and a yellow-collared skin-tight blue jumpsuit with yellow stripes on the knees and bottom cuffs. Additionally, Clemont also sports a backpack-like cybernetic contraption which he invented himself on his back. The contraption has two robotic extensions that Clemont uses to absorb solar and lunar energy - naturally, one appears to resemble the sun, while the other resembles the moon. The white moon-like contraption known as the "Aipom Arm" is also used to grip and hold objects like an extra hand.

Then a big green Pokémon look on the side and sees a Flareon running by which caused it to have hearts in its eyes before chasing after the Pokémon but stops and waves at our heroes and give both Chespin and Pancham a grin of respect before running off.

"Well, that was a quick turnaround." Serena comment

Shoyo sweat drops "Uh... Did I miss something?" he asked.

"Long story" the group responds

-scene change-

The group and Shoyo are sitting near the three as it's already nighttime.

"I see so that Quilladin was just a wild Pokémon who fall for Eevee at first sight" Shoy said with a understanding tone.

"Yeah, and it tried to impressed Eevee by battling Chespin and Pancham, but Team Rocket tried to ruin the fun by kidnapping Eevee and the others" Ash explains.

"Which they managed to escape, and we crossed paths" he said looking at the Pokémon who are simply enjoying eating the Pokémon food.

"And you already know the rest" Clemont adds.

"So where are you guys heading?"

"So far to Snowbell City, where I'll Challange to get my eighth badge" Ash explains.

Shoyo looks at the sandwich for a moment.

"Shoyo...." a memory flashes when a old lady having a video call with Shoyo "please make more friends and travel with them, I know you can take care of yourself but is nothing wrong with having new friends and bond with them" she pleaded.

"I don't know grand; I just don't want to bother anyone"

"Sure Shoyo, but there's nothing wrong with traveling with friends is what makes the journey so much fun, I learn that the hard way when I met your grandfather, oh he was a charmer, who know you might encounter a lucky individual as well" she then said.

Shoyo sighs "I can't promise anything, but...I promise I'll try to befriend another trainer" he said.

"That's more than enough for me, Shoyo" she said as the flash back ended with Shoyo smiling.

"Hey Shoyo" Shoyo looks up and sees Ash looking at the brunette with concern "Are you okay?" he asks as the other even Combusken and Lopunny look worried.

Shoyo shakes his head "I was deep in thought about something... would that be alright for me to... tag along?" he asks making Combusken and Lopunny look at Shoyo with shock.

"Really!?" Serena questions out of shock.

Shoyo nod "yeah, why not?" he then ask back.

Ash smiles "I say why not as well" he then said.

Clemont nods "Yeah, is cool to have another companion around" he agrees.

Shoyo looks surprised "You're willing to let me come along that easily?" he questions out of shock.

"Well, you protected Squishy and the others from Team Rocket, is the most we can do" Bonnie explains.

Serena nods "Yeah, and that way we can get to know each other a lot more!" she said.

Shoyo then smiles "thanks for having me" he said.

And so, after saying goodbye to a newly distracted Quilladin our heroes' journey continues with a new companion in Shoyo.
