After dinner Gerard and his family came over. They were so sweet together. I felt sad and a bit guilty when I remembered my parents, and the fact that I hadn't called them yet. We played Candy Land and made sure Bandit won. Even though Johnnie claimed the game was rigged, when he lost. But he didn't tip over the board which was nice for his doing.

When the Way family left we argued where to sleep. Andy insisted he slept on the hallway to stay close to me. But I objected claiming I'd be fine with Johnnie in the same room as me. After which Johnnie told me to sleep in another room because I snored. This led to some violence. Eventually we decided that me and Andy would sleep on the couches in the living room. I fell asleep as soon as Andy turned the lights off, and I took my glasses off.

I woke up by the touch of a clammy hand on my mouth. I was scared but at the same time very angry. There was nothing I hated more than someone else's hand on my face. I opened my eyes, but was met by a blinding light. I reached for my glasses but the person kicked them away. I managed to get the hand away from my mouth, and screamed. I felt the person above me panicking as Andy was stammering while waking up. The person ran to the window as I saw more figures jumping through it. The flashes in the corner of my eyes stopped, and I could see the figures clearly now. The first person was a man with dark brown hair, and dark eyes, but he was very pale. The other figures gave me a fright. The reapers again. I ran to the other side of the room, while picking up and putting on my glasses. I turned on the light, so Andy could also see who we were dealing with. He turned to me and then to the reapers. At first his face showed surprise, but then anger and determination. The reapers looked at the man. Just take them both. He said. There was a moment of silence, then the reapers attacked us at an amazing speed. I felt them latching on to my arms and one of them pulled my hair. They pushed and pulled me towards the window. I heard Andy call my name as he tried to battle them off. His wings were hidden underneath his shirt so he couldn't use them in the fight. The reapers pushed me out of the window and I screamed again. Johnnie crashed into the room. I fell backwards out of the window, but then I was lifted up. The man flew away after me. He had metal wings just like the reapers. The reaper that was holding me waited for the others it seemed. Andy was able to fight them off, until one of them headed to Johnnie. Johnnie! I yelled, trying to warn him. Johnnie and Andy looked at me. And for that brief moment one of the reapers hit Andy over the head. He went down and they dragged him out of the room. Johnnie tried to stop them but they hit him away as if he was a fly. They reapers jumped out of the window as two of them had to carry Andy. Then I was carried high into the night.
