NADIA HAS BEEN THE Keeper of the Runners for the entirety of the year that the Gladers have been trapped in the place they've been forced to call home. She had always been the fastest and quickest on her feet, making her an unquestionable leader, even if she had a habit of being a bit of a pushover.

It all starts when disaster strikes and an accident in the Maze turns Nadia's world upside down. Forced to change her entire way of living, she must learn how to navigate her way through constant pain and loss. But this accident is only the beginning.

As if she'd been the catalyst for a seemingly endless list of horrors, the Glade is pounded with a series of unfortunate events that shake up their way of life. From attempted murder to testing ways to escape the Maze, the second half of their stay is infinitely more eventful than the first.

And if Nadia wants to get through it, she needs to learn to stand her ground. Who better to teach her how to do so than the boy she winds up stuck with as her babysitter?

sorry for potentially giving you guys heart attacks when you saw i updated (at the time i'm posting this, this book has been completed for 2 years) but i wanted to include a full cast list, including the new official casting of link! i'm also changing a lot of the gifs and completely revamping the style of the book.

to my new readers: BUCKLE 🗣TF 🗣UP!! be prepared to be attached to every single one of these characters, except alex because his mom's a hoe. i love my children!!! and i miss them!! so any excuse to spend time thinking about them again is good!! even though i spent way too long doing this and should have been cleaning my room instead... oops.

another note: yes, i changed the faceclaim for newt strictly to go along with this story. i have absolutely NOTHING against thomas brodie-sangster, i just thought max fit newt's character really well and wanted to include him instead, since he's also younger. i also included max in my TMR fancast in my book "how to write a TMR fanfiction", so yeah. please don't get mad. this isn't an attack on TBS at all.
