Anika's POV continues:

“He cannot be here.” A voice inside me screamed. That mere thought brought shivers down my spine. I didn’t ever want to see him. Not again. I didn’t want to go through that miserable pain I had before. I am just trying to give my life another chance to live. And his presence could ruin my budding ray of hope.

“Anikaa!!! You are acting mad. Why in this world will he be here?” Another voice screamed inside.

Yeah! She was right. There was no chance of him being here. I know Nandini had a huge business background. Their family would invite every business delegate across the country and she had even mentioned all of them to me. That’s why even Mallika and Tia were invited. But I never heard his name from her.

Thus I am worrying for no sake. There was just no possibility. I inhaled deeply getting some piece of mind.

His grip grew firmer on my waist and I met his blue eyes again. They hold a spark which can mesmerize anyone within seconds.

All the while I kept wondering who this blue eyed man could be if not him and tried figuring him out.  Involved in this task, I lost the track of songs we danced for.

But in all of this, I am impressed with  one thing. This man, my partner was a very good dancer. His moves were spectacular and sharp. He swirled me, lifted me and balanced my dance so well. You can title him “A Perfect Dance Partner”

His dance finally brought me into the swing and I am enjoying this a lot. The track playing was one of my favourite “Galliyan”

As the music boomed, he pulled me harder  and I bumped into him once again. All I could sense was his well-known warmth surrounding me. His warm breath kept tingling the crook of my neck and I clutched his suit tightly.

I could clearly listen to my heart beat pounding in my ears “Lub-dub-lub-dub”. I tilted my head and leaned on to his shoulder and we swayed along with the music.

Suddenly loud round of applause banged in the hall and I lifted my head. They already removed their masks and congratulating each other for this successful night. Yes! I had to admit that was a brilliant idea.

We looked at each other and he smiled leaving me before running to our bride and crushed her into a hug.

“Nanduuuuu......” he cheered loudly. His back faced me and I moved closer, removing my mask to have a clear look of my partner.

“Shivaaaaaaaay.....” Nandu hugged him back tightly, laughing.

I smiled looking at her. Wait! What did she just say? Shi.... My heart skipped a beat hearing the name. At that very moment, they rolled and I could see him.

The entire world paused for a second. My eyes prickled and I could not hold my tears back. Every second of our togetherness flashed in my mind and I felt weak. My body became cold and I moved back slowly so that no one would see me, shutting my mouth tightly with my palms.

I knew I would broke down in any moment. I still couldn’t believe my eyes. My fear came true. For an instance I felt it was a dream. But HE WAS HERE!!! Right in front of my eyes.

Nandini introduced him to every one however I managed to hide behind a pillar. I would never face him again in my life.

“Anikaaa....”  I listened, Karthik shouting,  searching for me. Shit!! Shivaay would have possibly heard my name.  If he heard, what will he do now? What if he tells everyone?  He couldn’t tell everyone about our past. No one knew about it except for Karthik.

Then my mobile buzzed and that was a call from Nandini. I switched it off immediately. They were still searching for me.

I need to reach home as soon as possible. I will have to hide for a few days, at least until the marriage. He shouldn’t even have a little hint about my daughter. He couldn’t see her.

I escaped carefully and reached the parking lot. I immediately ran to my car and drove it at full speed. I turned back to check if anyone was following me, then I found him staring at me.

My god!! He saw me. His face containing a smirk. His favourite expression which he holds when he succeeds in something he wanted to win. I gulped nervously. I could feel he did something.

I closed my eyes shaking my head vigorously and suddenly there was a big boom and then everything went blank when I my head hit the steering.

Very late this time, I know. Don't hate me for this. I am really sorry for this super late post. I am posting my every story as soon as I can. And here goes the next part.

The 'mask man' is revealed and let's see what will he do now. Can Anika win back his heart? Or fight him and start a new journey?
