AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL
CHAPTER 7
As soon as Naina was out of Sameer's bedroom, she rushed downstairs. The look she received from everyone in the room shook her to the core. Well... everyone except Samrat had a fair idea that Naina would've faced Sameer upstairs.
The moment Sameer got a message from Preeti that they were heading towards his home, he had abruptly ended his meeting and rescheduled it. He had already got to know from Preeti that Naina had heard everything at the reunion party about his sudden disappearance from their lives.
Sameer was shocked that even after knowing that he had parted his ways from everyone to protect them, Naina hadn't wished to talk to him about it. Then, he also knew Naina better than anyone and understood that she was punishing him for keeping all this from her.
And now, when Sameer was informed that Naina was at his place, he couldn't miss this chance of facing her. He wanted to know, if Naina felt anything for him even now. He wrapped up his meeting and left towards his home.
Sameer was happy that he was finally going to meet Naina, that too in his den. As soon as he entered the Maheshwari Mansion, his gaze searched among the people in the living room for his love. As always, Preeti smiled at him and gestured towards his room.
As Vishakha spotted his son, she too helped, "Sameer... acha hua tu jaldi aa gaya. Ekdum sahi time par aaya hai tu. Jaa... jaldi upar jaa aur fresh hokar coffee peene aaja." Sameer smiled at his mother and looked in the direction of Samrat, "Main abhi fresh hokar aata hun."
Sameer had rushed towards his room, knowing fully well that his love was in his room. Finally, he was going to meet her alone without anyone lurking around them. He had quietly opened the door and searched around in his room, only to find the bathroom door open.
Sameer stepped slowly towards his life who was busy washing the stain on her top. He leaned at the doorframe and watched her lovingly. He so wished to wrap his hands around her and pull her in his arms, but he resisted. He had to know if his love still reciprocated his feelings.
When their gazes had clashed, everything had stopped around them. It was only them like they were ten years ago. Nothing had changed between them and Sameer had deduced that as soon as he was close to his Naina.
Her little stutter, her slight shyness, her red tint on her cheeks, her erratic heartbeats, everything screamed of her love for him. And so, Sameer had deliberately leaned towards her to check if he still affected her. And he was so right.
Sameer was not going to lose Naina to Samrat. The moment Naina had left his room, he promised himself that he was going to fight for his love and would get her back in his life again.
Downstairs, as Naina settled beside Samrat, her heartbeat was still thumping loudly. "Naina... tu thik hai?", Preeti asked watching her sister closely. Everyone waited for her reply. Clearing her throat, Naina replied, "Main thik hun. Mujhe kya hua hai?"
"Ummm... wohh tere kapde pe garam coffee giri thi naa? Isliye pooch rahi thi. Daag toh acche se saaf ho gaya naa?", Preeti asked still observing her and then her gaze moved as she watched Sameer coming downstairs. Naina didn't have to look in his direction as she had already sensed his presence.
Rohan shifted to make space for his brother. Sameer settled right in front of Naina who didn't make any eye contact with him. Rohan and Preeti exchanged a knowing smile as they could clearly feel the undercurrents between them.
Samrat broke the silence, "Sameer... hum yahaan meri aur Netra ki shaadi ka invitation dene aaye the. Toh tum bhi apni family ke saath aana." Sameer smiled, "Congratulations... main shaadi mein zaroor aaunga." Looking at Naina, he continued, "Toh kya hua agar Naina ko main yaad nahi, par mujhe toh sab bohot acche se yaad hai. Puraani yaadon ko taaza karne ke liye toh main zaroor aaunga."
Samrat hadn't expected this reply from Sameer. He was very much aware of their school love story. Last when he had met Sameer at the reunion party, he had seen the traces of a broken soul. But now, it didn't seem so. What had changed? Was Sameer going to move on from Naina and forget her? Or was he trying to win her back?
Samrat looked at Naina who too was looking at Sameer now. Something was amiss. There was something that Samrat couldn't understand by looking at them. Pushing those thoughts away for the time being, Samrat got up, "Abhi hume chalne chahiye. Aur bhi invitations dene hai."
Forwarding his hand, Samrat asked, "Ab chale Netra? Hume late ho raha hai." Naina glanced at Sameer once before holding Samrat's hand and got up to leave.
After biding their goodbyes, Preeti left with Samrat and Naina. Munna and Pandit had been mute spectators till now. "Sameer... tu... tu thik hai?", Munna stammered a bit, hesitating to even ask such question.
Sameer smiled again, "Main thik hun. Mujhe kya hona hai?" Pandit asked, "Bhai... Samrat aur Naina ki shaadi ho rahi hai, aur tu thik hai? Aisa kaise ho sakta hai? Matlab... tu toh Naina se pyaar karta hai naa? Fir tu thik kaise ho sakta hai? Unn dono ki shaadi se tujhe farak nahi pad raha?"
Sameer looked at his best friends, "Tum dono ko meri fikar karne ke zarurat nahi hai. Main sach mein thik hun. Dheere dheere sab thik ho hi jaayega." Turning his gaze towards his parents and brother, he continued, "Chaliye... hume bhi bohot saari taiyaariyaan karni hai. Aakhir Naina ki shaadi hone jaa rahi hai."
Everyone was confused hearing Sameer's words. No one knew what Sameer was up to now. "Sameer... beta... tu kya bol raha hai? Hume kya taiyaariyaan karni hai? Mujhe kuch samaj nahi aa raha. Thik se bataa tu kehna kya chaahta hai.", Vishakha asked confused.
As everyone waited for his reply, Sameer answered calmly, "Aap sabko sab paata chal jaayega. Bas Preeti bhi aa jaaye, toh main sab bataata hun."
"Preeti... wohh kyun aayegi yahaan?", Munna asked. Before Sameer could say anything, Rohan beat him to it, "Aap dono ne toh Bhai ki help karne se manaa kar diya, par ek Preeti hi hai, jo iss baar bhi Bhai ki help karne ke liye ready hai."
Munna and Pandit were shocked. How was this possible? Preeti was Naina's soul sister. How could she forget her pain? How could she forgive Sameer in the first place?
Sameer, Rohan and their parents saw through their questioning looks, but remained silent. Munna asked, "Sach mein Preeti iss baar bhi tera saath de rahi hai? Yeh kaise ho sakta hai? Mujhe toh ab bhi yakeen nahi ho raha. Preeti hamari Naina ki hanuman hai, wohh tujhe itni aasaani se kaise maaf kar sakti hai?"
"Jaise maine pehle kiya tha.", came a reply from the entrance. Preeti stood there with a wide charming smile. Rohan couldn't tear his gaze away from her which was noticed by Sameer as well as his parents. Vishakha raised her eyebrows at Sameer, while he just blinked his eyes in response.
Preeti walked in and came straight face to face with Sameer, "Toh Jijaji... ab aage kya plan hai?" Munna and Pandit muttered together, "Jijaji?", while the others just chuckled in response looking at their stunned faces.
Preeti turned towards them with her hands on her hips, "Haan... Sameer mere honewaale Jijaji hai, toh Jijaji hi bulaaungi naa? Aur tum dono humse kuch poocho bhi mat. Help karne se toh pehle hi manaa kar chuke ho, ab hamara plan sunne ke baad kya pataa tum dono jaakar Naina ko sab bataa do."
"Preeti... Munna aur Pandit bhale hi meri help naa kare, par hai toh wohh dono mere best friends hi naa? Waise bhi main inse naaraaz nahi hun. Yeh dono wohi kar rahe hai jo unhe thik lag raha hai. Toh mujhe inse koi shikaayat nahi hai. Infact, main khush hun ki mere dost meri Naina ke side hai."
Munna's and Pandit's eyes teared up and they hugged Sameer together. "Aisa nahi hai ki hum teri help nahi karna chahte Sameer. Hum bas Naina ko aur koi dukh yaa dard nahi dena chaahte, usse hamesha khush dekhna chaahte hai.", Munna mumbled.
"Haan bhai... Munna sahi keh raha hai. Hum bas Naina ki khushi chaahte hai.", Pandit too added.
"Aur tum dono ko aisa kyun lagta hai ki Naina Samrat ke saath khush rahegi?", Preeti asked them. They broke their hug and faced Preeti who continued, "Naina ki khushi kabhi Samrat mein nahi ho sakti, kyunki aaj bhi wohh Sameer se pyaar karti hai. Bhale hi chehre pe naa dikhaaye, par main uske dil ko bohot acche se samajhti hun. Naina ki khushi Samrat ke saath nahi, balki Sameer ke saath hi hai."
"Tum dono baitho, main sab bataati hun.", Preeti requested and then she narrated everything that she had known till now to everyone in the room. Rohan and Sameer were already aware of everything. She also told them about Aditi who still loved Samrat unconditionally.
"Yeh sab hone ke baad bhi Naina Samrat se shaadi kyun karna chaahti hai? Mujhe toh kuch samajh nahi aa raha.", Rohan asked what had been on his mind since he got to know about Samrat's past too.
Sameer and Preeti too were confused, "Sach kahun toh mujhe bhi samajh nahi aa raha ki Naina aisa kyun kar rahi hai. Mujhe nahi lagaa tha ki Naina, Aditi aur Samrat ke pyaar ke beech aaayegi. Aajkal Naina ke dimaag mein kya chalta rehta hai, kuch samajh hi nahi aata. Mujhe lagaa tha ki Naina Samrat ko Aditi ke baare mein sab bataa degi, par usne aisa kuch nahi kiya. Aur upar se shaadi ke cards baantna shuru kar diye. Maine kahaa naa ki meri behen paagal ho gayi hai."
"Nahi Preeti... Naina paagal nahi hui hai. Uske dimaag mein zaroor kuch toh chal raha hai. Bas wohh dikhaa nahi rahi hai. Aur aaj usse milkar mujhe yeh toh pataa chal gaya ki wohh aaj bhi mujhse pyaar karti hai. Naina mujhe bhooli nahi hai, bhool hi nahi sakti... naa mujhe... naa hamare pyaar ko."
"Waise Jijaji... Aisa kya hua tha aaj, jisse aapko pataa chal gaya ki meri behen aaj bhi aapse bohot pyaar karti hai?", Preeti teased, "Aapko nahi bataana toh mat bataaiye, par fir bhi thoda kuch toh bol hi sakte hai."
Sameer understood her teasing, "Achaa... toh meri saali sahiba ko thoda kuch jaanna hai? Abhi bataata hun." Preeti had already got up from her seat before Sameer sprang up to chase her. Everyone laughed looking at their antics whereas Vishakha's eyes teared up, "Bhagwaan kare yeh hasi yeh ghar mein hamesha gunjti rahe aur mera Sameer aise hi hamesha khush rahe." Vivek took her in a side hug, "Aisa hi hoga Vishakha... aisa hi hoga."
Before Sameer could get hold of Preeti, she tripped and before she could fall, Rohan wrapped his arm around her and held her who was already standing nearby.
As Preeti opened her eyes, her gaze clashed with Rohan's and the time froze for them again. While they still were holding on to each other, the others had a knowing smile on their faces.
Sameer coughed loudly bringing the new blooming lovebirds back to reality. Preeti and Rohan moved away awkwardly making the others chuckle.
"Sameer... ab jab hum sab jaante hai, toh hum bhi teri help karne ke liye taiyaar hai. Main aur Ponga tera saath zaroor denge. Bol ab aage hume kya karna hai?", his best friends finally were ready to help Sameer.
"Tum sab baatein karo, main kuch khaane ka dekhti hun.", Vishakha moved towards the kitchen. "Arey mummy... aap baitho yahaan. Mujhe aap sabko kuch bataana hai."
"Jab hume Preeti ne Aditi aur Samrat ke baare mein bataaya, tab pehle main bohot khush hua tha. Fir unke liye bura bhi lagaa. Aise kaise Samrat ke papa Aditi ko dara dhamka sakte hai? Aur fir jab yeh bhi pataa chala ki Naina Samrat ko sirf ek dost samajhti hai aur yeh shaadi mein bhi wohh sirf dost rahenge, tab mujhe samajh aa gaya ki Naina ab bhi mujhe bhool nahi paayi hai aur mujhse pyaar karti hai. Isliye main ab Naina ko firse khona nahi chaahta. Bhale hi wohh dono apni shaadi ka invitation dene yahaan aaye ho, par yeh shaadi nahi hogi, main hone hi nahi dunga.", Sameer declared.
"Aap aisa kya karne waale hai ki yeh shaadi nahi hogi?", Rohan asked before anyone could voice out the same. "Preeti ne mujhe bataaya tha ki Aditi hamari Maheshwari Industries mein kaam karti hai. Main uss-se bohot jald milunga aur usse samjaaunga ki wohh Samrat se saari misunderstanding clear kare. Agar yeh ho gaya naa, toh shaadi ki problem solve ho jaayegi. Fir main hi Naina ko propose karke, ussi din shaadi karunga.", Sameer placed all their doubts to rest.
Preeti asked cautiously, "Aur aapko aisa kyun lagta hai ki Aditi aapki baat maanegi? Agar usne yeh karne se manaa kar diya toh?" "Tum positive bolo naa, abhi se kyun negative sochna hai?", Rohan was pissed now.
Preeti glared at him, "Hum sirf yeh sochkar aage nahi badh sakte ki Aditi maan jaayegi. Yeh bhi ho sakta hai ki wohh hamari baat maane hi naa." Facing Sameer, she continued, "Uss din jab hum uske ghar gaye the, tab bhi uske behaviour se yeh lag raha tha ki wohh Samrat se ab bhi bohot pyaar karti hai. Par jaise hi Naina ne Samrat ki taraf se gussa kiya, toh Aditi yeh kehkar chali gayi ki wohh sach mein timepass hi kar rahi thi. Usse manaana bohot mushkil hoga Jijaji. Aditi itni aasaani se hamara saath nahi degi aur naa hi Samrat ko kuch bolegi. Uske papa se ab bhi darti hai shaayad."
"Hume koshish toh karni hogi naa?", Munna added. "Haan... hum kal subah hi Aditi ke ghar jaayenge. Usse baat karenge, dekhte hai wohh hamara saath deti hai yaa nahi.", Sameer was somehow sure that she would help them, but he too was a little doubtful. What if Preeti was right? What if Aditi refused to help them?
Vivek spoke, "Sameer... jaise Preeti ne kahaa ki agar Aditi ne madad karne se manaa kar diya toh hume dusra option bhi rakhna hoga. Agar tum wohh shaadi rokna chaahte ho, koi dusra raasta bhi dhundna hoga beta."
Sameer smiled, "Papa... dusra raasta bhi maine soch liya hai. Agar Aditi ne help nahi ki, toh fir mere paas aur koi raasta nahi bacha hai, mujhe hi kuch karna hoga. Shaadi ki har rasam mein hum jaayenge aur saari rasmon mein main Naina ke saath rahunga, usse ehsaas dilaaunga ki hum ek dusre ke liye bane hai. Hamari zindagi toh tab se jud gayi hai jabse hum pehli baar takraaye the. Mujhe Naina ko apne pyaar ka ehsaas dilaana hoga, fir shaayad wohi Samrat ke saath shaadi karne se manaa kar de."
"Accha toh isliye tu keh raha tha ki hume bhi taiyaariyaan shuru karni chahiye?", Vishakha asked. Sameer agreed, "Haan Mummy... taiyaariyaan toh hume bhi karni hi hogi. Kya pataa shaayad ussi mandap mein meri aur Naina ki shaadi ho jaaye."
"Waahhh Bhai... yeh sunkar toh mera bhi dil kar raha hai shaadi karne ka.", Rohan teased while looking at Preeti who in return just huffed in anger. The others chuckled while Sameer was still thinking how to proceed further.
Sameer had cleared everyone's doubts, but he was unsure now. What if Aditi didn't agree to help? What if Naina didn't give him another chance and marries Samrat? Then what will he do? Should he think of a third plan as well?
After relishing the dinner at Maheshwari Mansion, Preeti got up to leave. "Chalo ab mujhe chalna chahiye. Bohot late ho gaya hai? Naina bhi shaayad ghar pohonch gayi hogi."
"Waise main poochna bhool hi gaya ki tum unhe akela chodkar yahaan itni jaldi kaise aa gayi? Cards baantkar ho gaye the kya?", Rohan was curious to know. "Nahi... Sach kahun toh wohh sabke ghar jaakar fake smiles dene ka quota aaj ke liye bohot ho gaya tha, main aur nahi kar paati. Jis behen ki shaadi se main khud khush nahi hun, uska invitation baantne jaane mein mera bilkul mann nahi ho raha tha.", Preeti replied honestly.
Everyone understood her dilemma and agreed. Vishakha came forward and hugged her warmly, "Main tumhari problem samajh sakti hun Preeti. Lekin Naina hai toh tumhari hi behen naa? Bhale hi wohh koi bhi faisla kare jisse tum sehmat naa ho, fir bhi tumhe uske saath rehna hoga. Uske saath rehkar tum bhi usko ehsaas dila sakti ho ki wohh galat faisla le rahi hai. Tumhare mummy papa aane tak tumhe hi uski dhaal banna hai. Waise ek baat ki mujhe bohot khushi hai ki Naina ko tumhari jaisi behen mili hai, bohot lucky hai Naina."
Vishakha kissed Preeti's forehead and bid her goodbye while others especially Rohan enjoyed the camaraderie between them. Sameer instructed, "Preeti... ruko... main tumhe ghar tak chod deta hun. Bohot late bhi ho gaya hai naa."
"Arey Bhai... aap kyun taklif le rahe hai? Main hoon naa... main Preeti ko ghar tak chodkar aata hun.", Rohan was too eager to spend some time with Preeti. But she refused, "Nahi... kisiko aane ki zarurat nahi hai. Main khud chali jaaungi."
"Aisa kaise tum akeli jaa sakti ho Preeti? Tum bhi ab hamare ghar ki sadasya ho, hamari responsibility ho. Tum thik se ghar pohonch jaaogi, toh hume bhi fikar nahi hogi. Rohan jaa... Preeti ko ghar tak drop karke aa.", Vivek interfered this time shutting all her excuses.
Before leaving, Preeti hugged Sameer and touch his parent's feet while Rohan stood with Munna and Pandit at the entrance watching the scene happily. Pandit nudged Rohan, "Aaj itna accha mauka mila hai, isko jaane mat dena. Waise tu kahe toh teri aur Preeti ki bhi shaadi ka mahurat nikalva de?"
Munna laughed while Rohan rubbed his neck shyly, "Kya aap bhi? Abhi meri shaadi ko time hai. Pehle Bhai ki shaadi ho jaaye fir apni shaadi ke baare mein sochunga."
Preeti joined them at that moment, "Chalein..." Rohan nodded and splayed his hand towards the parked car asking her to walk ahead. She gave him a wide smile and moved forward. Rohan spoke to his parents and Sameer, "Main thodi der mein aa jaaunga." And he left. Munna and Pandit too left on the bike.
As Preeti settled on the passenger seat, Rohan started his car. No one spoke till two minutes, each waiting for the other to take the initiative to talk. Rohan couldn't resist anymore and cleared his throat, "Waise mujhe lagaa ki tum meri wajah se jaldi ghar waapis aayi thi Princess."
Preeti glared at him while he enjoyed riling her up, "Pehle toh tum mujhe Princess mat bulaao. Kitni baar kahaa hai tumse ki mujhe Preeti bulaaya karo... Aur dusri baat... main tumhare liye kyun jaldi aaungi? Tum kya lagte ho mere?"
Rohan smiled enjoying their banter, "Maine bhi pehle hi kahaa hai ki main tumhe Princess hi bulaaunga. Aur main tumhara kya lagta hun? Ummm... waise main Sameer ka bhai hun aur tum Naina ki behen, toh ab hum bhi ek hi family hai naa? Aur agar chaho toh tum permanently hamare family ka hissa bann sakti ho? Jaanti ho kaise?"
Preeti very well knew what he was talking about, "Tum naa... Jijaji aur Naina pe focus karo. Apni life set karne ki koshish mat karo." Rohan chuckled, "Kyun uss mein kya buraai hai? Waise bhi Bhai ke shaadi ke baad mujhe apni life ke baare mein toh sochna padega naa?"
"Tum apni life ke baare sochte raho aur mujhe baksh do. Waise bhi meri building aa gayi. Bye... Goodnight...", saying that Preeti opened the car door hurriedly while Rohan laughed, "Goodnight Princess... fir milenge... Sapne mein..."
Preeti turned back once to see him still waiting for her to reach the elevator. As soon as the doors closed, a wide smile bloomed on Preeti's face, "Paagal kahin ka..."
Naina had already reached home when Preeti arrived. "Naina... tune kuch khaaya kya?", Preeti asked as soon as she entered their home. "Haan... Samrat ko bhook lagi thi, toh humne baahar hi khaana kha liya. Tune khaaya kya kuch?", Naina asked her while switching channels on the television.
"Haan... mujhe bhi bhook lagi thi, toh maine bhi baahar hi kha liya.", Preeti replied as she clicked open the doorknob of her room, "Main aati hun fresh hokar."
Naina heard her sister shut her bedroom door. The moment the door closed; her thoughts wandered through the day. She had been with Samrat the whole day. They were distributing their wedding invitations. Samrat seemed happy while she didn't feel a thing. She wasn't happy nor sad. Her feelings seemed neutral when it came to Samrat.
And then suddenly out of nowhere, Aditi's face came to her mind. Her tears, her broken heart, her broken dreams, her cries that she heard while leaving her house. Naina didn't seem to forget any of it. But she had decided to carry on with this wedding no matter what.
Her thoughts broke as the landline rang twice and then disconnected. It happened thrice and she knew who was trying to call her. Preeti had heard the rings too and she decided to stay in her room, till her stubborn sister and her brother-in-law would have a chat.
This time when the phone rang, Naina picked up the call on the first ring itself, "Hello... Maine kahaa naa tumse ki main Samrat se shaadi kar rahi hun, toh mujhse durr raho. Fir kyun baar baar phone kar rahe ho? Tumhe kya lagaa ki tum yeh sab karoge aur main pighal jaaungi, tumhe maaf kar dungi? Nahi Mr Sameer Maheshwari... aisa kuch nahi hoga. Naa main pighlungi aur naa main tumhe kabhi maaf karungi. Toh baar baar phone karna band karo..."
Sameer heard her outburst calmly as he wanted her to take out all her anger on him that she had bubbled up inside her for last ten years. When she went quiet, Sameer picked up his Walkman and played the song.
Rooth Naa Jaana Tumse Kahoon Toh...
Main Inn Aankhon Mein Jo Rahoon Toh...
Rooth Naa Jaana Tumse Kahoon Toh...
Main Inn Aankhon Mein Jo Rahoon Toh...
Tum Yeh Jaano Yaa Naa Jaano...
Tum Yeh Maano Yaa Naa Maano...
Mere Jaisa Deewana Tum Paaoge Nahi...
Yaad Karoge Main Jo Naa Hoon Toh...
Rooth Naa Jaana Tumse Kahoon Toh...
Naina stilled on the call as she heard the song. Her eyes misted as she reminisced how they used to play songs for each other whenever they were sad or happy or wanted to convey something, but she controlled herself. Nothing was going to waver her from her decision of getting married. Despite her stubbornness, she heard the whole song. Each word hitting straight in her heart.
As the song ended, Naina disconnected the call. As she was taking deep breaths, the landline rang again and her anger surged. Picking up the call, she blasted, "Ek baar kahaa samajh nahi aa raha tumhe? Kyun baar baar phone kar rahe ho?"
Before she could say more, she heard another voice from the other end, "Netra... Kya hua? Kaun baar baar call kar raha hai? Koi pareshaan kar raha hai kya? Mujhe bataao, main dekhta hun."
"Kuch nahi hua hai. Bas wrong number tha. Mujhe lagaa firse wohi call hai, isliye maine chilla diya. Koi tension waali baat nahi hai. Tum bataao, iss waqt kyun call kiya?", Naina distracted him.
"Fir thik hai. Maine tumhe yeh bataane ke liye call kiya hai ki hume kal shaadi ki shopping ke liye jaana hai. Toh main tumhe subah gyarah baje pick karne aa raha hun. Tum ready rehna. Thik hai?", Samrat was too happy to start the wedding shopping.
"Thik hai... main ready rahungi. Kal milte hai Samrat. Goodnight...", Naina replied and disconnected the call as soon as he bid her goodnight. She was in no mood to talk to anyone right now. Her feelings were all over the place after hearing the song. The old memories flooding back with full force.
Preeti had already made her way towards the kitchen to make strong coffees from them. She had heard the one-sided conversation and now, she just need to know where Samrat was taking her sister.
Preeti settled beside her sister and offered her coffee, "Yeh le behnaa... coffee pee le, dimaag shaant ho jaayega." Naina took the cup and sipped it quietly. Preeti asked, "Toh Samrat ke saath kal kahaan jaane waali hai tu?"
Without glancing at her sister, Naina replied, "Shaadi ki shopping ke liye jaana hai kal. Tu bhi saath chalna please. Tu jaanti hai, main iss mein jyada interest nahi leti."
Preeti watched her sister carefully, "Kya hua hai Naina? Tu khush nahi hai kya iss shaadi se? I mean... usually Dulhan toh bohot khushi se apne shaadi ka joda kharidne jaati hai, par tere chehre par mujhe kahin wohh khushi dikhayi nahi de rahi."
Turning towards her sister fully, Preeti continued, "Naina... dekh abhi bhi time hai. Tu zara shaanti se soch aur fir decide kar. Shaadi ek bohot bada decision hai yaar. Teri life ka sawaal hai. Dus din baad teri shaadi hai, par tere chehre pe koi chamak nahi hai ek Dulhan waali. Dosti se shaadi nahi chalti behna, tu kyun nahi samajh rahi hai? Aur fir wohh Aditi..."
Naina got up, "Bohot raat ho gayi hai Preeti... hume so jaana chahiye. Kal bohot important kaam niptaane hai. Tu bhi subah ready ho jaana. Samrat lene aanewaala hai."
Next morning, Sameer left the house early with Rohan to meet Aditi. He couldn't risk meeting her in his office and discuss their personal relationships. Preeti had already messaged him Aditi's residential address.
Within twenty minutes, Sameer parked the car in front of the residential building. As he rang the doorbell, Aditi's aunt opened the door. "Ji... aap kaun?", the aunt asked cautiously watching the brothers. "Hum Aditi se milne aaye hai.", Sameer said while watching a girl emerging from another room.
Aditi stopped behind her aunt in shock, "Aap... aap Sameer Maheshwari hai naa? Aur aap Rohan Somani?" Both the brothers nodded and the aunt invited them in.
"Kahiye... aap yahaan mere ghar itni subah subah kyun aaye hai?", Aditi asked curiously.
"Hum tumse Samrat aur Naina ki shaadi ke baare mein baat karne aaye hai.", Sameer replied as he watched Aditi keenly.
Aditi swallowed, "Sorry... Sorry Sir... Main... main kisi Samrat ko nahi jaanti."
How was the update?
What do you think, will Aditi agree to help Sameer?
And what will happen during the shopping?
I will update next weekend...
Till then, take care and stay safe...
With lots of love,
Daksha...❤️
