Dear Macy,

I think my best friend's male friend is cute but I don't have the guts to tell him. I haven't known him long and I think that it will make my friend and I a little weird or at least make my friend feel weird. I've been hurting myself emotionally and physically over this situation. How do I assess the situation in telling my friend and how would I know if the guy likes me?

So first let's look at your friendship. Is it worth it over a guy?

Please. Please say no.

If you guys do end up dating, you have to realize we are still in high school and when we get out of this shit hole, you can find a better guy.

I would never risk a strong friendship over a guy who is cute.

So I'm stopping you here, if you are worried about damaging your relationship then don't do it.

Now, just saying it will be "awkward" is very big. Because being awkward with friends is hard to not have that awkwardness anymore. So think before you ask this "cute" guy.

Now if you choose to ignore my advice above, your question about knowing if he likes you back is hard.

Because guess what. Guys are fucking hard to read and so are girls.

We can all conceal our feelings and guys are amazing at it.

So if he isn't blatantly flirting you, then just don't go after him.

There will be a ton of hot, cute, sexy guys, so don't risk a friendship over some guy who you don't know likes you.

Also, don't let this emotionally hurt you. Scars stay forever so don't let this boy problem make you feel worthless, cause you aren't.
