So one of the things we've been doing to try and help communication and learn more about each other is some little experiments to see where we differ from each other.

Things like writing to see if handwriting differs, recording ourselves to see if speech patterns or body language changes, etc.

So here's a few experiments we've done and our results. I've covered up parts for those who don't wanna be fully online.

First one I had the idea for was to see how style differed. So I had everyone use Picsart to make three outfits in their style and see how we all differ and what we all share in common. Here's the results:

Me (Somnia)
I like a cute but lazy style. Hints of J fashion and 2000s nostalgia.

L
L is casual but takes influence from Mizuiro fashion hence the blues and oversized look.

Cat
Cats got petty typical teenager clothes, casual and comfortable. Some brand names in there.

Hypnos
Hyp is basically just pyjamas and skirts. Anything soft and comfortable, room to breathe and sensory friendly. Also love that they didn't pick a bag, they picked a teddy.

I find it interesting that you can tell what our favourite colours are based on the clothes we picked. There's some common ground like we all like jeans and demon bottoms, slouch socks/ frilly socks and shoulder bags. We all like comfort over style, but they're all different styles.

The next thing I had is do was write our names in our handwriting, which took forever because one of us never fronts and everyone took their sweet time remembering to do this.

They're similar, which I assume is because of the bodies motor skills just remembering a certain way of writing. But there's a few subtle differences. L and I are probably the most similar but he's a bit neater. My letters are uneven but his are pretty straight. Hypnos has a lot of curves and swirls in his writing and Adricat (Cats full name, he's a very strangely formed fictive of cat noir but not quite??? That's en explanation for another time) is more rounded.

As for the others who didn't want to be shown, I can say they look different. One of them writes in all caps and one is slightly slanted. So there's definitely some subtle differences between us but nothing major. A few days later I noticed two pages in our journal written by two different people, me and L. Me on the left and L on the right.

Also I love that when we started this journal it was with the intention of jotting down what we did that day so none of us forget, and while I'm going on about our dolls L is having deep thoughts about plurality... and then decorates it with stickers.

Last thing (for now, I wanna do more) I had us do was super easy. I literally just asked what everyone's favourite foods were, drinks as well. Sometimes alters will love something that others in the system absolutely hate, it's wild how the brain does that. But I've found most of us tolerate the same foods. But all our favourites differ.

Me: pasta, literally any pasta (with no meat). And for drinks I gotta go with something fruity like juice or a fruit bubble tea.

L: shortcake (no one is surprised) and matcha lattes

Cat: very passionately said choccy milk. And lattice biscuits, you know the kind that go at the base of cheesecakes? Very specific choice there.

Hypnos: chocolate, particularly with caramel inside. And for drinks, warm vanilla milk. Which is basically our grandmothers equivalent of Angel milk she used to give us as a kid when we slept over. One spoon of sugar, a few drops of vanilla extract and warmed up.

The others all had different favourites too, although two of them picked the same option for drinks. Watermelon crush from boost juice, which tbh I like too it's super nostalgic.

So we all have different favourites, but we all like the same type of things. Fruity things, sweet things, a lot of Asian foods and literally any pasta (found out we all have different fav pastas too).

I definitely wanna do more little experiments like this, they're super interesting. But I'm stuck and I can't think of anything else, any ideas?
