Alrighty so I'd like some opinions on my OCs, I'll give you all descriptions and pics of them and you give me feedback! Tell me who's your fav, who's the hottest, what you like or dislike about them etc. this is for the improvement of my original stories so the help is appreciated!

Slight context for those who haven't read my story: Izroulia is the realm based in Greco Roman mythology and Pharonuim is based on Egyptian myth. There's a realm for every culture of mythology in this universe and the human realm is the biggest and only one that lacks magic. There was a war in Izroulia when a bitch of a Phoenix overtook the throne and waged war in Merfolk over a past negative experience she had with one single merperosn.

Izroulia and Pharonuim are separate stories (haven't out Pharonuim up yet still working on it) but they're intertwined. Izroulia set in the late 2000s and Pharonuim like 3000 years ago in ancient times.

OCs from the Izroulia timeline:

Aries Nautica

Aries is a non binary siren born in Izroulia, they are the leader of the group having the most knowledge on magic and the realms. They're a tired, angry and determined person who usually doesn't care about the world around them, but when it's a serious issue like the rebellion they will not stop until justice is served. They're a fire elemental having heat/fire powers and has a green and blue tail. They have an androgynous laid back style consisting of old fashioned beach wear, wears anklets and magic charms and often has Eyebags from a bad sleep schedule. They didn't go to school, but learnt all the basics and how to survive from their foster mother as they grew up in hiding from the dictator queen Agnemetra in Izroulia. Haru is also a childhood friend who helped them out at the time too. Aries isn't afraid to use force or legal loopholes to get to and end goal when circumstances are dire, but because it requires a lot of effort they'd rather not have to.

Note: Aries began as a kind of self insert when I made them as a kid but as I grew and the story grew they became their own character. But because of this there's a lot of influence from me and the sys members I didn't know I even had at the time.

Icarus Perri

Icarus is a year 12 student at sunswell high (and later graduate) in Australia's point break bay. She's also the first of the pod to have her mermaid side awaken and meet Aries. She's a girly beach dwelling girl who is a little awkward and finds it hard to make friends, she's also scraping by in school due to dyslexia. Her style is bright 2000s style beachwear with hibiscus print and dolphin imagery. Including sundresses, sarongs and sunglasses. Even her tail matches as it's pink. Her father (who gave her the mermaid gene) left when she was very young and she doesn't know much about him. Leaving her with her mother as her soul family member who doesn't know about the mermaid genes but is very protective of her. Her mothers side of the family is Hawaiian originally from Honolulu, and they keep the culture very alive in the family, Icarus knowing hula and the native language. Icarus is ditzy, shy and awkward but very lively with people she likes and loves to go out and spend time with friends. She plays beach volleyball during the summer and even in winter will be at the beach just watching the waves. She's a water elemental giving her hydrokenisis powers. She's also known for her love of lip gloss, often having a new one each day in varying colours and flavours. She's the only cishet in the group and later in the story ends up pursuing a gorgon boy called Sage.

Pandora Edge

Pandora is a year 12 student (and later graduate) at point break high in Australia's point break bay. She's the second to be transformed and meet Aries and Icarus. She's a smart, reserved girl who grew up by the docks to a family of fishers and divers. She knows the waters of the area well and knows a lot about local fish and wildlife. The mermaid gene came from her grandmother (skipping her mother due to it skipping a generation) and when her grandmother died she left a box full of magic objects and mermaid things for Pandora to tell her she's got the gene and to find the pool to become a mermaid. Pandora does so by getting the help of Aries and Icarus. Pandora does great in school and is pretty much guaranteed to pass with flying colours, probably persuring marine biology. Despite her smarts she's not too good at keeping friends due to her workaholic attitude and gets easily stressed out and worried over small things. Her style is causal and beach friendly as well as diving and swimming gear from helping her parents. Button ups over bathers, denim skits and thongs in cooler colours. She's an air elemental giving her wind/ice powers. Her tail is an icy purple. She's also known for her love of ramune, always bringing it as her drink of choice. She's a lesbian and later in the study gains a girlfriend, a human called Willow.

Zagreus Flyy

Zagreus is a homeschooled graduate living in Australia's point break bay. He's the final edition to the group and unlike the other two has always been aware of his mer genes and was told by his mermaid mother at a young age. He didn't transform until recently due to his parents wanting him to have an easier life in the human realm as a kid. His tail is earthy green. He used to kite board, and now skateboards since he can't touch water anymore without transforming. He hears through the grapevine that the others are looking for him to join the group, so he tracks them down and introduces himself after spotting them in the spirit pool one day. He's a kind of girly boy who loves the outdoors and nature, he's a mamas boy for sure and cares deeply for those closest to him. But can fall easily into anxious states when things get a little dark and can spiral quickly, so he tends to cling to those who make him happy. His style is vintage surf brands in earthy tones. T shirts with board shorts and caps. He loves kerropi and often has merch of him around. He's an earth elemental, giving him nature powers. He's a gay man, later ending up with a Naiad boyfriend called Styxx.

**note: I named him Zagreus before I even knew about alter Zagreus or hades Zagreus. He's named after the myth and it's just a funny coincidence lol.

Haruki Ray
Micha left, Haru right

Haru for short, is a dragon hybrid boy from Izroulia. A childhood friend of Aires and boyfriend, later husband of Micha. He left school early to do a potion making apprenticeship which allowed him to travel across the realm where after being separated from Aries for 5 years he reunites with them and joins the rebellion. He is the one chosen to take over as king after the rebellion as he is the most level headed, calm and accepting of the whole cast. He's a mature, calm and logical person who opts out of violence unless it's the last resort. Believes strongly in equality and bettering the world and is very very studied in magic. He was raised by a single mother after escaping an abusive father and while it left him with serious trauma he's grown and healed from it, using the experiences and knowledge to be a better person than his father was. He has an extremely deep care for those he loves most, his mother, Micha and Aries.

Micha Nishinko

Micha is a wrath demon originally from sin but his parents moved to Izroulia when his mum was pregnant with him because they couldn't afford the cost of living there. The boyfriend and later husband of Haru, he met Haru shortly after Aries left and has lived in Izroulia his whole life. He was bullied as a kid because he's autistic, and it got so bad he dropped out at 16 and finished school remotely, also causing his hair to turn white because he developed Marie Antoinette syndrome. He has a history of self harm and deep depression but has since made major recovery progress and is generally doing well nowadays. He witnessed the war, but was as a child at the time couldn't do anything about it. He's shy, timid and never harnesses his full power out of fear he'd hurt someone. Once Haru becomes king, Micha as his partner becomes royalty too and together they share the workload, Micha working as a historian in the archives as history is is special interest.

Styxx Sucrose

Styxx is a demi boy Naiad who lives in and owns the lake araula in Izroulia, as his whole family has owned that lake for generations. He's a calm, curious and tranquil person who is very interested in merfolk as he saw the war as a kid but was too young to understand how merfolk worked. He's quite studied in magic, and takes his job maintaining the lake and it's property seriously, not afraid to get dirty and fix things. He can play the harp and is a good artist. He helped in the rebellion and was offered to work in the castle because of it, but he decided to stay in his families lake but does occasionally help in the castle. He's always wearing traditional togas and chitons or simple pants and no shirt, as he's always in and out of the water. He meets Zagreus when he accidentally falls into his lake and they bond over the fact they both have names of underworld origin and are water based creatures. They later end up dating.

Willow Colt

Willow is a human graduate living in pointbreak bay, Australia. She has no knowledge of magic at first and works as a life guard. She has dreams of being a competitive big wave surfer, although has to be careful as she has a history of drop seizures. She had a service dog as kid, and a brain surgery that greatly reduced her seizures but didn't cure them. She still very rarely gets them under the right conditions. She's hyperactive, blunt, adventurous and loves the beach. She always as a bikini under her clothes so she can jump into the water at a moments notice. She accidentally spots Pandora while surfing one day and is gobsmacked to see a real mermaid. Pandora panics and begs willow to keep her a secret as it would life risking for humans to know about magic. Willow, completely entranced by her beauty agrees, only wanting to know the mermaids name and what she's doing. Pandora gives her vague answers and swims off. They meet again, this time on land while Pandora is helping around her dads boat, and willow approaches her promising she won't tell anyone anything, all she wants is to be friends and learn about mermaids. Hesitantly Pandora agrees and from there they slowly fall for each other.

Sage Dixie

Sage is a gorgon that works for the Izroulian wildlife conservation sanctuary, he specialises in reptiles but helps wherever he can. He has 5 snakes named snappy, Cody cobra, Dusa, addy and dude. He's friendly, energetic, easily exited and plays beach volleyball on the side. He loves animals, can be a bit competitive at times and is generally pretty level headed. He meets Icarus at Haru and Micha's wedding party and they hit it off, he later helps her get a job at the sanctuary and starts flirting with her to which she matches the energy. He identifies as a man and always has, but is intersex. Causing him to have both snake hair and regular hair as snake hair is a female gorgon trait. He's open about it, since it's not really something he can hide with the snakes on his head and all. He hasn't experienced many complications with it, it was very obvious he was intersex from the moment he was born both because of the snakes and because of the ovotestis development. Through puberty his chest remained flat, he didn't get any periods but his oestrogen levels did go up so he had them levelled with testosterone medication and went through a fairly normal masc puberty. Although through the testing he did found out he's got an underdeveloped womb, it's very unlikely it'll do anything to him but he keeps an eye on it anyway.

Anhkamen Shu

Anhkamen is a cat spirit who ruled Pharonuim several thousand years ago, and was killed only a year into the throne, not knowing who the killer was. In 2011 Izroulia opens an expedition to the now dead realm to identity an artefact and in the process Anhkamen is accidentally woken from the dead with a spell no one knows how to work. But he's back and looks not a day over the day he died, since he's the only living person from the realm he's become the pharaoh again and acts as the realms representative and helps lead the expedition to restore the realm. In the meantime he stays in the Izroulian castle with the royals. He's anxious and rattled from the whole being dead thing, but is a level headed and fair ruler. He's dealing with the trauma from his death and coming back to life but with the help of Haru and Micha is coping alright. He loves those closes to him very deeply and misses his parents, he values friendship and love very highly. He's traditional but not in a conservative way, in a magic way. He's devout to the gods of the realm and wants to keep his culture alive.

The Pharonuim timeline:

Bes the First

19 and soon to be pharaoh within the next year. He and his family are decent from scorpion spirits and possess the features and powers of scorpions. Due to birth complications he was born very human looking, his stinger is small and hidden under his clothes and he doesn't have enough venom to kill. This makes the kingdom doubt him and he's determined to prove he'll be a good ruler. He's very broadly studied, knows several languages and is trained with a kopesh. He knows magic quite well and has great negotiation skills. He's definitely set to be a good ruler but the doubt on him makes him insecure and he feels the need to prove himself constantly. When a drought occurs that threatens the land, he had a wild idea to reach out to the legendary Naddaha the siren of the Nile. And by some grace of the gods it works and the two set off on a long journey to bring the water back. He's never thought about his sexuality because he'd always been of the mindset he'll marry a queen and have kids to pass the crown onto, but Naddaha is making him feel A LOT of things.

Naddaha (no last name)

Naddaha is the first of his kind, the species named after him (En Naddaha). He was created by the gods to protect the Nile and was given a long golden tail and the ability to give himself legs but only during the day. As soon as the moons light touches the sand he grows his tail again. He is a demi god, he can die but lives a lot longer than most mortals and hold more power. He's kind, has a dominant side, trained with a spear, an amazing sorcerer, and great at navigation. He's not educated about land dweller culture though, not even knowing that clothes were a necessary thing until Bes told him to cover up. He finds Bes very interesting as he's barely ever interacted with people before and since he's a demi god has no concept of sexuality labels and thinks it's totally normal for guys to kiss, finding himself rather attracted to Bes after a while being on the journey together.

There's a few more characters but you can't have more than 10 pictures a chapter and I'm running out of room. So I'll go other them another time. Tell me your thoughts! And thank you to those who give feedback!
