Third Person's POV

We start with Tails having a fishing wire tied to his left toe as he was bare foot, and is lying down on a fishing dock. He stretches "Ah, there's nothing cooler than relaxing at the seaside with a rod and steel!" Tails said and Brody is sitting at the edge of the dock with Sonic sitting on his lap, Brody's holding a fishing rod "Except when the slow-mo fish aren't biting!" Sonic said and Brody reels his fishing rod in and Sonic picks up their tackle box and gets off Brody's lap "Let's go Tails! The fish stinks around here!" Brody said as he and Sonic walk away and Tails tries to follow them but the fishing line tied to his toe pulls him back "Hold it, Brody! Sonic! I got something! Whoa!" Tails said getting pulled into the water. Sonic and Brody run back to the dock "Huh?" Sonic and Brody asks as Tails grunts as he flies into the air, pulling the fishing wire. Brody and Sonic look down as Tails pulls out a girl named Merna who has the other end of the wire in her left arm "Help! Help!" Merna said "Oh, no! I hooked a girl!" Tails said and Brody and Sonic run off the dock as Tails pulls Merna towards the edge of the lake "Gee, I'm so sorry! I didn't see any swimmers on the beach!" Tails said and Brody runs into the water "Are you alright?" Brody asks and Merna pants heavily "Just a little tired! I've been swimming for hours!" Merna said as Bridy walks up to her "Well let me help you out of the water!" Brody said "Uh, I can't" Merna said as Brody picks her up revealing her tail fin and her to be a merhog. Brody stares in shock "A merhog?" Sonic asks "But we thought you were just a myth!" Brody said "We're real and we're in danger! Captain Memo is destroying the Sea Floor and polluting the ocean!" Merna said "What's your name, miss?" Brody asks "Merna" Merna said "Well, this is your lucky day, Merna, Brody the Wolf and Sonic the Hedgehog has got a sale on! One free rescue to the first merhog who washes up on the beach!" Brody said "Oh thank you! Follow me, and I'll take you back to my grotto!" Merna said diving inti the water "Hold it!" Brody said and Merna resurfaces "Much as I hate to admit it, we are air-breathers!" Brody said "Not today, bro!" Tails said who holds out three diving suits, a black one, a red one and an orange one and Sonic gulps nervous.

Brody is wearing the red diving suit, Sonic is wearing the orange suit and Tails is wearing the black one as they dive into the water and swim up to Merna "Lead the way!" Brody said "Come on" Merna said as she grabs Brody's arm and swims away with him in tow. Sonic grabs Brody's feet and Tails grabs Sonic's feet and Merna swims with the trio in tow.

We see a mechanical octopus breaks through rocks on the ocean floor. Inside Captain Memo and his assistant Bananas is standing behind him "Luitenant! Take a memo!" Captain Memo said "To Lt. Bananas, that's you. Dear Bananas, as soon as the sea floor has been stripped, and my underwater mini malls and condos are complete, eh, dat, I'll be ready to collect from all the fish and merhogs in the sea!" Captain Memo said amd Bananas keeps writing "Signed, Captain John Paul Memo. That's me" Memo said.

The mechanical octopus emits smoke from its rear. Sonic, Brody, Tails and Merna swim up to the smoke "There it is, Sonic and Brody! Captain Memo's octopus ship!" Merna said "Hey, what's eight arms when you've got the two fastest duo in the world?" Brody asks "Ahem" Sonic said "Oh right, well just stay and watch over her babe" Brody said kissing Sonic's cheek making him purr and nods as Brody swims away with Tails following behind him and Merna and Sonic watch "Be careful!" Sonic said

Brody grabs an anchor below the mechanical octopus and swims away carrying it. He swims clockwise around the mechanical octopus, tying the chain it is attached to around it. He tangles up the tentacles as a result then drops the anchor, causing the mechanical octopus to sink "Looks like this octopus is just an octo-pussycat!" Brody said and swims back to Tails, Merna and Sonic "And that takes care of that, Merna" Brody said and grabs Sonic's hands.

"Now how about you and I go for a couple of dry chili dogs babe?" Brody asks "I would love that my wolf" Sonic said. Meanwhile inside the octopus is slowly flooding with water and Lt. Bananas tries to shut it off by turning a knob and Captain Memo turns a knob then looks out the window, seeing Brody, Sonic, Tails and Merna "There's someone out there, luitenant! Take a memo!" Captain Memo said and he does "To Lt. Bananas, check the defense computer and finds out who's up there! Cordially, John Paul Memo" Captain Memo said as he and Bananas swim to a computer amd Bananas looks through the computer's viewfinder and it shows an image of Sonic and Brody with captions that say 'HEDGEHOG, SONIC CLASS & WOLF, BRODY CLASS' "Uh-oh! It's a self-propp
Elled, high-speed underwater hedgehog and wolf of the Sonic and Brody class!" Captain Memo said and tells to Bananas to attack.

The mechanical octopus breaks the chain from its anchor and frees its tentacles and Tails sees this "Uh-oh!" Tails said "I think your octo-pussy cat is turning out to be a tiger shark!" He said  and the four swim away "Let's make a wake, jake!" Sonic said and octopus chases them and squirts ink at them "I think we've been inked!" Tails said and the mechanical octopus uses four of its tentacles and pulls out Brody, Sonic, Tails and Merna "The good news is we're out of the ink!" Brody said "What's the bad news?" Tails asks as the mechanical octopus pulls them towards its mouth which chomps "We're going into its mouth!" Sonic said "We'll be grind into fertilizer!" Tails said "Worse than that, we'll be turned into a mini-mall!" Merna said "We've got to get out of these tentacles!" Brody said "I think I know a way!" Merna said  and looks at some seaweed and screeches. Two eels emerge from the seaweed and goes to them "Eww! Eels!" Tails said "Not just eels! Electric eels!" Merna said as the electric eels shock the mechanical octopus in turn shocking Bananas and Captain Memo. The mechanical octopus powers down releasing Sonic, Brody, Tails and Merna from its tentacles "Now to finish it off with a triple-spin buzz, cuz!" Brody said and spins onto the mechanial octopus, and Tails and Merna and Sonic swim up to him. The steel of the mechanical octopus is too strong for Brody to break through, and he lies down with dazed eyes.

"Just my luck! That ship's been wolf and hedgehog-proofed!" Brody said "Perhaps my people can help! follow me!" Merna said and swims away, and Sonic, Brody and Tails swim after her, creating a trail of bubbles.

The four enter to Mertopia and various fish swim through it "Whoa! Cool cave!" Tails said "Welcome to Mertopia!" Merna said and they see the queen of merhogs in the blacony "I am the Queen of Merhogs!" The queen said and the four swim up to her "You two must be Sonic the Hedgehog and Brody the Wolf!" she said as Sonic and Brody bow "A little soggy but at your service!" Sonic and Brody said "We must stop Captain Memo before he reaches Mertopia!" The queen said when they hear rumbling "I think he just did!" Brody said as fish swim through Mertopia, and rocks fall. The mechanical octopus is outside the entrance to Mertopia, swatting its tentacles at it. Merna swims across Mertopia, dodging the falling rocks "You won't believe it, Sonic and Brody! You two must stop Memo before our beautiful world is ruined!" The queen said "Well I'm not too good at water but Brody can handle it" Sonic said and Brody snaps his fingers "Actually. There's more than one way to skin an octopus, and I know just the way!" Brody said swimming away pulling Sonic by his hand and Tails follows behind them "Sonic, Brody, wait for me!" Tails said.

*Later at Robotnik's Fortress*

Scratch and Grounder where in the kitchen stnading near the sink "I hate cleaning out the fridge! You do it!" Grounder said handing Scratch the bin of sponges but Scratch hands it back "Not me! His slobbishness told you to do it!" Scratch said "D'oh, all right! How bad could it be, anyway?" Grounder said and rolls away, and Scratch turns to face the sink, where he washes dishes with both his hands. Grounder rolls up to the fridge, sets down the bin of sponges, and opens the fridge with his left drill. A left arm emerges from the fridge and roars. Grounder screams and stares in shock at it, then psuhes the door closed with his body. Scratch turns to face him "What is it?" Scratch asks "Uh, I think it was the lasagna we made for Dr. Robotnik three years ago!" Grounder said as Scratch walks up to Grounder and pushes him aside "Don't be ridiculous! Let me see that!" Scratch said and Grounder screams and covers his eyes with both his drills "Don't open it!" Grounder said and Scratch opens the fridge with his left hand and looks inside, but doesn't find anything. He turns to face Grounder, and closes the fridge with his right hand "There's nothing in here!" Scratch said and walks away. Grounder looks at the fridge, then rolls up to it and opens it with his left drill. The left arm roars as it reaches out of the fridge, and Grounder screams and stares in shock at it. The left arm grabs him and pulls him in. "No! Help!" Grounder said  and the fridge opens, and Grounder, who is now covered in lasagna stains, falls out of it. Scratch walks up to him "Are you alright?" Scratch asks  "Next time, we gotta remember not to put those TV dinners in the microwave!" Grounder said wearily  and sighs.

The kitchen door opens, and Sonic, Brody and Tails poke their heads out of the doorway. Scratch pulls the lasagna stains off Grounder with his right hand. Brody then turns to face Tails and Sonic "You guys got everything?" Brody asks whispering and Tails and Sonic nodded. Brody, Sonic and Tails duck back behind the door, which Sonic pushes open with his right hand. Sonic, Brody and Tails are now disguised as pizza delivery men, with Brody wearing a orange hat and blue overalls, Sonic wearing a green hat and yellow overalls, and Tails wearing blue sunglasses and overalls. They walk in, with Sonic holding a pizza box in his left hand "You guys order a pizza?" Brody asks "No" Scratch said "Not me! Um, maybe it was the lasagna who ordered it!" Grounder said "Too bad!" Sonic said and opens the pizza box "Anchovies and jellyfish, my favorite!" Brody said "Yeah, they're gonna be hard to come by once Captain Memo takes over the ocean!" Tails said "Huh?" Grounder asks "Captain Memo's taking over the ocean?" Scratch asks "Didn't you hear? Everyone's talkin' about it! Sure you didn't order this pizza?" Brody asks "Forget the pizza, we gotta tell Dr. Robotnik's what's happening!" Grounder said and he and Scratch run away "Way to go, team!" Sonic said "Let's go!" Tails said and the three run off.

Robotnik is inside his laboratory, holding a golf club in both his hands, and he attempts to hit a golf ball into a cup "If Dr. Robotnik can sink this final putt, he'll win the Mobius Torunament of Champions and the grand prize of the dictatorship of the universe!" Robotnik said and pulls his golf club back, and Scratch and Grounder walk up to him "Dr. Robotnik!" Scratch and Grounder said and Robotnik hits the golf club, causing it to fly into a framed picture of Momma Robotnik and knock it over, then fly into a lampshade and bounce off it. The golf ball then bounces off Scratch and Grounder's heads. Scratch rubs his head with his right hand, and Grounder rubs his with both his drills. Robotnik stares angrily at them, then spits the golf ball that landed in his mouth out, and it rolls into the cup "Ooooh, nice putt!" Grounder said "What's so important you have to ruin my golf game?" Robotnik asks "Didn't you hear the news?" Scratch asks "What news?" Robotnik asks "Captain Memo plans to conquer the Mobian Sea!" Grounder said "And once he's done that, he plans to launch an attack on the land!" Scratch said "I don't believe it!" Robotnik said "Memo and I went to school together!" He said "He wasn't half as rotten as me! My undersea survellience system will show me what Memo's up to!" He said and looks in his computer and the screen turns on, revealing Captain Memo's mechanical octopus to be attacking the entrance to Mertopia "Oh, it's true! That sniveling little fish-face is attacking the Merhogs!" Robotnik said "Well, he won't get away with this! Scratch, Grounder, build me the fiercest, fastest, fattest submarine in the world!" He said and Scratch and Grounder get to work and once it's ready they head undersea and go fight Captain Memo.

*Later*

Once both Robtnik's sub and Captain Memo's mechanical octopus get broken by each other, the trio of Sonic, Brody and Tails swim to Merna and the Queen "Captain Memo won't be botherin' the merhogs anymore!" Brody said "Thanks Sonic and Brody! Mertopia is safe!" Merna said "Yeah, we really fooled old Robotnik!" Tails said. Unaware to them, Scratch and Grounder are both hiding in seaweed " Why, that rotten little rodent and furball! This was all a trick!" Scratch said "I knew those pizza delivery guys smelled like a hedgehog and a wolf!" Grounder said and they go tell Rbotnik in his submarine and he contacts Captain Memo.

*Meanwhile*

Brody, Sonic, Tails, Merna, the Merhog Queen, and the other Merhogs are in the pool. Sonic tries to pounce at Brody, but he ducks and chuckles. when Sonic tries to pounce at him again, he jumps out of the way. Tails swims up to Sonic and Brody "Hey, Sonic! Brody!" Tails said and splashes water at the duo "Splash fight huh?" Sonic and Brody ask and the two spin "You asked for it!" Sonic and Brody said as the two spin into the water, and splash Tails, who lands near the Merhog Queen and the other Merhogs, who all laugh at him. Tails pokes his head out of the water, and holds up a white flag in his right hand, which he waves "All right, you two win" Tails said when an explosion can be heard as Sonic and Brody carry Merna out of the water. They screams as they get splashed and fall off the edge, into the pool below, then into the water below it. They land on the nose of Robotnik's submarine, which resurfaces. Tails, the Merhog Queen, and the other Merhogs watch from the edge of the pool "Oh no!" The queen said "It's Robotonik!" Tails said and the top of the head of Robotnik's submarine opens, and Robotnik climbs out of it.

"That's right, freedom fighters, and I'm here to conquer Mertopia!" Robotnik said "But I thought you were here to stop Captain Memo from taking over Mobius!" Brody said and the window resembling Robotnik's right eye opens, revealing Scratch inside it "Nice try, fur-head!" Scratch said and the window resembling Robotnik's left eye opens, revealing Grounder inside it "But the pizza's out of the box!" Grounder said and tosses a pizza at Sonic and Brody with his right drill, which hits the duo on their heads. Tails flies down to Sonic, Brody and Merna, and he lifts them into the air as Sonic and Brody shakes the pizza off their heads "They know we tricked them!" Tails said "No prob!" Sonic said and Tails lifts Sonic and Brody to Robotnik "You and what army are gonna conquer Mertopia?" Brody asks "Me and...." Robotnik said and Captain Memo's mechanical octopus breaks through the hill and swims up to Robotnik, with a hook, saw, torch, hammer, and axe in its tentacles "Captain Memo's army!" Robotnik said "We're doomed!" The Queen said "Now you're catching on!" Robotnik said and Captain Memo's mechanical octopus' left eye opens, and a balcony that Captain Memo is standing on emerges up to Robotnik "Captain Memo and I made a little pact! I conquer Mertopia..." Robotnik said "And I turn it into condos and mini-malls!" Captain Memo said "And we split the rent!" Robotnik said and laughs evilly "Attack!" He said and ducks into his submarine and pulls the door closed with his left hand. His submarine and Captain Memo's mechanical octopus dive towards the City of Mertopia, and Robotnik's submarine fires missiles from the cannon resembling its nose. The Merhogs dive into the water at missiles hit the buildings and explode. As Captain Memo's mechanical octopus torches more buildings, the Merhogs scream and run away. Captain Memo's mechanical octopus smashes more buildings with its hammer, and swats its hook at the Merhogs, missing them. Brody, Sonic, Tails, Merna, and the Merhog queen watch from atop the pool, and scream as Robotnik's submarine approaches them. They jump out of the way just in time as Robotnik's submarine crashes into the pool. Sonic and Brody resurface from the water below, and Merna gasps as Tails and the Merhog Queen land in front of them, splashing them. They all resurface.

"What will we do?" The queen asks "Our only chance is to fight fish with fish!" Merna said and Brody puts on his diving helmet and so does Sonic "Right, let's go!" Sonic and Brody said as they and Merna dive into the water. They swim out the entrance to Mertopia. Merna screeches, calling a school of fish, who all turn and swim to her. She also gets the attention of a pod of dolphins and a swarm of jellyfish, both of whom swim towards her. A pod of whales also jump in and out of the water. Robotnik's submarine continues firing missiles from the cannon that resembles its nose, which explode as they hit the buildings. Inside Robotnik's submarine, Robotnik watches Captain Memo's submarine on his monitor while Scratch and Grounder watch the sonar and it beeps "Hey, there's a school of fish heading this way!" Grounder said "What can a bunch of fish possibly do?" Robotnik asks and a killer whale emerges from the water, and Sonic and Brody are revealed to be riding on its back. They jumps onto its saddle, and pulls out cowboy hats with their left hands "Hi-ho, killer whale, away! Up, over, and gone!" Sonic and Brody said as they ride the killer whale as it dives into the water, leaving its fin above it. The killer whale rams into the back of Robotnik's submarine, causing Robotnik, Scratch, and Grounder to fly into the wall. Robotnik groans as he, Scratch, and Grounder get flattened. They hit the floor, and the killer whale pushes Robotnik's submarine into Captain Memo's mechanical octopus, causing Captain Memo and Lt. Bananas to hang from the edge of the nose. The killer whale swims away as Robotnik's submarine and Captain Memo's mechanical octopus sink into the water "Luitentant, take a Memo!" Captain Memo said but Lt. Bananas grabs him "No!" Lt. Bananas said and pulls out his pad and pencil with his right hand and hands them to Captain Memo ""You take a memo!" Lt. Bananas said as Captain Memo is now holding the pencil in his right hand and the pad of paper in his left "Abandon ship! Gorillas and Children first!" Lt. Bananas said and dives into the water "Hey, what about captains?" Captain Memo asks. Meanwhile, Robotnik's submarine sinks into the water, as does Captain Memo. Robotnik's submarine and Captain Memo's mechanical octopus sink to the bottom of the ocean, and as Robotnik's submarine gets flooded, Robotnik, Scratch, and Grounder poke their heads out of the water "Well, don't just stand there, you nincombots! Start bailing!" Robotnik said and Scratch and Grounder salute Robotnik with their respective right hand and drill. They then both reach into the water and pull out buckets with their right hands "Yes, your wetness!" Scratch said and he and Grounder splash Robotnik with their buckets "Ow! Hey, cut it out!" Robotnik said as a chomping sound can be heard, and Robotnik jumps into the air "Ouch! Something bit me!" Robotnik said and points his right hand at the clam that bit his butt, then grabs the clam with both his hands "Why, you little!" Robotnik said and falls over, sinking Scratch and Grounder. He growls as more sea creatures bite and pinch him. When he resurfaces, he has three crabs on his mustache, and a jellyfish on his head. Scratch and Grounder swim up to him, and Robotnik screams as he jumps into the air. Robotnik jumps out of the water, covered in sea creatures. When he gets them off, he is surrounded by sharks. He runs away, but the sharks chase him. Robotnik screams as he is chased by the sharks, and Scratch and Grounder, both of whom are wearing inner tubes, resurface and turn to face him. They swim after Robotnik "Wait for us, your whaleship!" Scratch and Grounder said. Captain Memo and Lt. Bananas climb onto a rock "I think we're safe!" Captain Memo said when Tails flies up to Captain Memo and Lt. Bananas, and the Merhog Queen swims up to them. Both Tails and the Merhog Queen are now holding ropes in both their hands "Guess again, drips!" Tails said as he and the Merhog Queen tie Captain Memo and Lt. Bananas up in their ropes, then Tails flies away as the Merhog Queen points her left index finger at Captain Memo and Lt. Bananas "Take them away!" She said and a giant squid wraps Captain Memo and Lt. Bananas up in one of its tentacles, and Captain Memo stares in shock at it as it walks away "Help! Get me out of here!" Captain Memo said.

Tails, the Merhog Queen, Merrna and the other Merhogs all cheer. Sonic now has his left hand on Brody's right shoulder, and his right hand on Brody's left shoulder "You did it Brody! Great Job!" Sonic said and Brody puts one hand Sonic's waist

"I couldn't have done it without you, Sonic. My sweet hedgehog!" Brody said and kisses Sonic on the lips and Sonic kisses back, and hearts emit from them. The Merhog Queen pokes Tails' left shoulder and Tails looks at her "Huh?" Tails asks "How about a hug for the queen, you cute little two-tailed furrball?" Merhog Queen asks "Uh, what do you say we just slap five?" Tails asks "Whatever you say!" Merhog Queen said and stands on her hands and turns away from Tails, then slaps him with her tail fin, launching him into the air "Yeow!" Tails said landing in the water.

"I hate seafood and hedgehogs and wolves!" Robotnik said as this chapter comes to an end.
