Third Person's POV

We start in the desert. Sonic and Brody run along the road as Tails flies behind them "Sonic, Brody, I hardly ever get to help you two with Scratch and Grounder!" Tails said "Hey, next time you can help!" Brody said "Really? Great!" Tails said "Course', that won't probably be for a long time!" Sonic said. The three run up to a rock formation. Scratch is standing on the right side carrying a flamethrower in both his hands and Grounder is carrying a hose attached toa barrel of crude oil, "They're coming! Now don't do it too soon! Listen for my count! I'll say 'One, two, three' and then 'Go'!" Scratch said "That's when I pump out an oil slick and they lose traction, right?" Grounder asks "Right! Amd while they're skidding, I'll deep-fry them with this!" Scratch said "Ready? One, two...." he said as the trio approach tehm "Three!" He said but Grounder did nothing "Grounder, three! Three!" Scratch said "You're supposed to say 'Go'!" Grounder said "D'oh no, you dunce bot! I say 'Three', then you go, oh forget it! Go! Go!" Scratch said as the trio run past Scratch and Grounder "Hey!" Scratch said and Grounder ends up spraying him with the oil making Scratch torch Grounder "Yikes!" Grounder said as the flames torch the barrel of oil. Sonic, Brody and Tails run to the other side of the rock formation and watch as the barrel of crude oil explodes and Sonic and Brody chuckle.

"When they perfect their timing, they'll be the greatest comedy team on Mobius!" Sonic said and the two look over seeing Tails looks unhappy "Aw Tails! We are sorry, bro!" Brody said "Yeah, force of habit, we swear! Next time you'll have a lot to do!" Sonic said "Yeah, I bet" Tails said.

*Meanwhile at Robotnik's Fortress*

"I knew it!" Robotnik said as he reassembles Grounder "I knew you tin heads would find a way to slip up!" He said "It was Grounder's fault! You know I'd never slip up!" Scratch said "Scratch said to go when he said 'Go', then the whole plan just sort of... blew up in our faces!" Grounder said "You insolent junk pile! My plan was foolproof! Too bad it wasn't moron-proof!" Robotnik said "Well, we did our best right?" Scratch asks "True, depressing but true" Robotnik said "So the solution is to improve your dismal abilities!" He said.

"W-what do you mean 'Improve our abilities'?" Grounder asks as Robotnik puts sport related items in his Robo-Matic machine "I combine playbooks, game films, strategies, plenty of grit.. nerves of steel and 300 pounds of ham!" Robotnik said "W-what kind of robot are you making?" Scratch asked "What you two need is training, discipline, in short, Coaching!" Robotnik said "You don't mean..." Scratch said "I do! Robots, prepare to meet..." Robotnik said as the robot emerges from the machine "The coachnik!" He said "Let's not waste any more time, men! I'm here to tell you why your game is going down the tubes, and what you gotta do about it!" Coachnik said "We don't need coaching!" Scratch said "Nope, whatever it is, we don't need it!" Grounder said "I'll whip you into shape! Turn you into lean, mean , chasing machines who eat wolves and hedgehogs for breakfast!" Coachnik said "Gee, uh, that sounds great! If only I didn't have a tune-up appointment!" Scratch said "You know, uh, next week would be better. Uh I kinda pulled a tread and..." Grounder said and Coachnik blows a whistle "I got some films I want you to see!" Coachnik said "I like his style! We're gonna win, baby, win!" Robotnik said.

*Sometime later*

"It's been a week since we've seen Scratch and Grounder. Where do you spose' they are?" Tails asks as he, Brody and Sonic run onto the road in the distance and stop outside a stadium andnRobotnik's fortress can be seen in the distance "I heard someone sae em' here, at the old stadium!" Brody said "Doing what? No one's used this place since Robotnik built his fortress on the hill!" Tails said "Kinda makes you wanna take a look doesn't it?" Sonic asks "You mean it? I get tocspy on him?" Tails asks "That's what teammates are for! Just be careful, will ya?" Brody asks "Aren't I always?" Tails asks and flies above the stadium and sees Scratch and Grounder training with Coachnik amd Coconuts want to join in as Tails gets back to Sonic and Brody.

"You ready for this guys? They got a coach! They're in training!" Tails said "For what?" Sonic and Brody ask "For this!" Coconuts said and runs past the trioand then charges at Sonic and Brody who jump in time and Coconuts runs into a wall and explodes making the trio flinch "For that he had to train?" Sonic asks as Scratch and Grounder see tjem "It's Sonic and Brody! Get them!" Scratch said and he and Grounder chase the trio.

"We lose em' yet?" Brody asks "Uh-uh, they're catching up!" Tails said "Oh, they are, are they" Sonic said and the three run onto a set of train tracks outside a tunnel and they stop just outside the tunnel "Rats! The perfect spot to do the old 'paint a tunnel on the cliff' gag, only there is a tunnel!" Brody said "Hey, Brody, Sonic, this is what we do!" Tails said and whispers to them "Hey, good thinking Tails!" Sonic said and the duo set up a giant piece of wallpaper over the tunnel and they paint it to make it look like there is no tunnel and the trio then run into the tunnel as Scratch and Grounder run up the train tracks and stop outside the tunnel and look for the trio "Now where'd they go?" Scratch asks as a train whistle can be heard "Scratch what's that?" Grounder asks "Sounds like a train, but it couldn't be!" Scratch said as the train tears through the wallpaper and flattens them.

*Later at the stadium*

"I see Sonic and Brody did some training of their own!" Robotnik said angry "Don't worry, Doc, it's early in the season. We learned a lot from this match up! We'll be ready next time!" Coachnik said "Next time, my foot!" Robotnik said walking away angrily.

*At Robotnik's Fortress*

Robotnik got back to his fortress and started throwing any kind of explosive ha had on the Robo-matic machine and thenstarts it up "All condensed into one compact, incredibly powerful package" Robotnik said as the back doors of the machine opens and the long ball, an explosive shapped like a football is carried out on the conveyor belt. "The long bomb!" Robotnik said and picks it up and opens the top and pulls out a single explosive bearing "Let's just see how powerful this is!" Robotnik said and flicks it at an open window and he flinches as it explodes and makes a rumble and then he sees the bearing destroyed part of hid brick wall "Now, that's what I call powerful! Those robots don't have to catch Sonic and Brody now, just get this bomb within five miles of him!" Robotnik said "All I have to do is sneak the long bomb into one of the robots! Sonic and Brody will never know what hit them!" He said.

*Meanwhile*

Sonic and Brody were messing with Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts' training using various disguises and eventually the two meet up with Tails on the path where they first met him "Come on, Sonic! Brody! Let me do something! Let me spy on Robotnik!" Tails said.

"On Robotnik?" Brody asks "We don't think so!" Sonic said "But we're team! Aren't we?" Tails asks "Well sure, but..." Brody said "Thanks! You two won't be sorry!" Tails said flying away and the duo look at you the readers "He gets more like us every day" Sonic and Brody said.

*Back at the stadium*

"Coachnik, you're wrecking these robots faster than I can fix them!" Robotnik said "Ah, it's just a few dings and dents, Dr. Robotnik! Wait till you see how fastGrounder does the obstacle course!" Coachnik said and Grounder starts going through a trail of tires which Sonic and Brody put more making a trail to a road and Grounder gets run over sending his head flying which Coachnik catches and gives to Robotnik and then chases after the truck.

Robotnik takes the chance and heas into the stadiumand set the bombs timer to two minutes "Ah the two minute warning!" Robotnik said and puts it in Grounder's head "What's going on, Dr. Robotnik?" Grounder asks "None of your business!" Robotnik said "Oh, sorry" Grounder said as Robotnik finished as Coachnik brought back Grounder's body "Another injured to the list!" Robotnik said "Relax doctor! I'll have all thrre back on the game in no time!" Coachnik said "You'd better! I only need them for two minutes!" Robotnik said "Why two minutes?" Coachnik asks "Just humor me, okay?" Robotnik asks unaware that Tails was spying on him "I gotta warn Sonic and Brody!" Tails said and left to find Sonic and Brody.

"I don't know what he hid there, but where's the last place you would look for something valuable?" Tails asks "In Grounder's head!" Sonic, Brody and Tails said.

"I see what you mean. Okay, let's find out what it is!" Brody said and the three run to the stadium and Robotnik watched through binoculars "Sonic's team is coming inti the stadium, unaware my Long Bomb will blow up everything within five miles!" Robotnik said and laughs evilly.

"Giess the first move's up to them!" Sonic said when the three got to the entrance and they gasp when Scratch and Coconuts run towards them "Okay, Tails, time for some teamwork!" Brody said as Brody and Sonic run in one direction and Tails runs the other. They run till they meet face to face and move aside making Scratch and Coconuts run into each other.

Sonic and Brody manage to take Grounder's head from his body and after some tossing between them and Tails, the long bomb fell of his head and Tails looks at it seeing the count down from 0:40 "Why does Robotnik have a timer in here?" Tails asks while the badniks chased Sonic and Brody "Maybe because it's a bomb!" Sonic and Brody said "A bomb?!" Tails asks and tosses it to Sonic who leaves it on Grounder's arms "A time bomb? No-ho-ho-ho! Throw it to Sonic and Brody!" Scratch said and Grounder did so and Brody catches it  and runs back and puts it under Grounder's arm "I said tgrow it to Sonic and Brody!" Scratch said "I did!" Grounder said and this went on for a whole till the trio rin away as Coachnik kicks the long bomb to the fortress "No! Not here! Not my fortress!" Robotnik said getting on his Egg-O-Matic when the bomb landed and exploded sending Robotnik flying into the stadium "Hey Dr. Robotnik, you made it!" Coachnik amd Robotnik growls and pulls out the last bearing from the Long Bomb amd walks angrily towards Coachnik "Hey, uh, what's that little grain in your hand? Say did I ever tell you my story about winning one for the blister?" Coachnik asks and Robotnik uses the bearing to explode the Coachnik.

Meanwhile Sonic and Brody run over the hills with Tails flying behind them "Some teammate I am, thinking Robotnik hid something great in Grounder! How dumb can I be?" Tails asks "Hey the way you flashed on that thing being a bomb, let us tell you Tails" Sonic said "We are glad you're on our team!" Brody said "Yeah?" Tails asks and the duo nodded as they keep running.

*Back at the stadium*

"Dr. Robotnik, what happened to Coachnik?" Grounder asks "I gave him the boot, that's what!" Robotnik said "We'll see who gives who the boot!" Coachnik said as his leg kicks Robotnik and he lands on one of the hills "Hey, what's the idea?" Robotnik asks as Coachnik's leg kicks him again "I'm putting my foot down!" Coachnik said "Penalty! Uh, call the referee!" Robotnik said as Coachnik's leg keeps kicking him "Somebody find his ofd button! Time out!" Robotnik said as this chapter comes to an end.
