Third Person's POV

Sonic and Brody are running throught the forest path. They pass by a barn and a billboard, then slows to a halt when an interdimensional portal appears behind them "Wow! What a light show!" Sonic said as they look at it "Almost looks like it cracked through to another dimension!" Brody said as the portal begins to close "It's closing up! Man, that was one strange window to another world!" Sonic said "Time to zip, kip!" Brody said and the two run away.

Just before the portal can completely close, a small black glob-type creature comes out of the portal. The creature named Goobster hums as he bounces across the forest then stops and looks around "Huh?" Goobster asks and screams, then sees Sonic and Brody run down the forest path. Goobster whimpers and tears pours from his eyes and then bounces across the path.

Tails is at a picnic table stirring a pit of chili with a spoon and thetr is a plate of chili dogs near the bowl of chili. Sonic and Brody run up to the table, wearing a white bib holding a fork and a knife and the two sniff the chili dogs. "Someone says chili dogs?" Sonic and Brody asks "Cool! You guys are just in time for lunch!" Tails said and Brody and Sonic pull the plate of chili dogs towards them and Tails huffs at the duo does it "Better make some for yourself, too!" Sonic said and Tails walks off as Goobster hops across and onto the picnic table where Sonic and Brody are holding one chili dog each"Hmmmm. Could use a little more pepper!" Brody said "I got you handsome" Sonic said and grabs Goobster without realizing it and shakes him over the chili dogs. When nothing comes out, Sonic spanks Goobster "Hey, this thing's out of pepper!" Sonic said "Tails, we need pepper please!" Brody said as Tails walks over to him with a pepper shake "Here, I got some more Brody!" Tails said and shakes the pepper onto Goobster causing him to sneeze at Sonic, Brody and Tails blowing them down with force of his sneeze and keeps sneezing "What's that?" Tails asks.

"Beats me!" Sonic said "A gravy stain with a head cold?" Brody asks the two shrugging. Tails walks up to Goibster and Goobster bounces up to Tails, sighs happily and purrs as he rubs up against Tails "Hey, I think he likes me!" Tails said and Goobster bounces happily and jumps into Tails' hand "Can we keep him, Sonic and Brody?" Tails asks them "We'd like to, Tails" Sonic said "But it wouldn't be fair! We're on the go!" Brody said "I promise I'll take care of him! He won't be any trouble, honest! Please Brody" Tails said "Oh, all right, but just till' we can find out where his home is" Brody said and Goobster jumps excitedly "Yeah! Hear that, little Goobster? Yeah let's call you Goobster" Tails said and Goobster jumps onto the ground "The Goobster, eh?" Brody asks "I like it! It's got dignity! Welcome to the groop, Goob! Hey! That's our lunch!" Sonic said as he and Brody run to Goobster who is eating the plate of chili dogs. He spits out the plate and Sonic catches it and the two look in shock at the single crumb left on it and Sonic picks it up but Goobster eats it "Wow isn't that great? Goobster likes chili dogs as much as we do!" Tails said "Won't be any trouble, huh?" Sonic asks and Goobster sneezes and flies into a tree and then slides down it.

"Hey, Sonic! Brody!" Tails calls out and the two look over and see Tails bouncing Goobster in his hand "Look what me and Goobster can do!" Tails said and then spins Goobster on his index finger amd Goobster screams and Tails stops spinning him "Okay, Goobster slam dunk!" Tails said and bounces Goobster up in the air as he flies too then shapes his tails into a basketball hoop, which Goobster jumps through. Tails then flies away and Goobster bounces after him "It's Goobster the Hoopster, and the crowd  goes wild!" Brody said and Sonic imitates a crowd cheering and Tails walks up to the picnic table "You want another chili dog?" Tails asks Goobster and he barks excitedly but Tails and Goobster sees the plate empty making Goobster cry and bounce unhappy "That's four dozen chili dogs today! That Goobster's a glutton!" Sonic said.

"Goobster, no! Down, boy!" Tails said as Goibster kept bouncing around him unhappy "Goobster!" He said and Goobster grows and sucks up the tree Sonic and Brody were leaning against and Tails runs over to them and they see Scratch and Grounder piloting flying planes "The bots are back!" Scratch said "Hey, squirt, how long you have been chewing that gum?" Sonic asks Tails who was holding a blue flag with Sonic's face on it and a yellow flag with Brody's face  on it "Uh, three weeks?" Tails said and takes out the gum out of his mouth "Perfect! Hand it over!" Brody said as Tails puts the gum in Brody's hand "Sonic! Brody! Sonic! Brody!" Tails cheers as Sonic and Brody runs off into a canyon and Grounder follows them.

"Ha ha! This time I'm ready for you tw!" Grounder said and turns his plane to its port side. Brody and Sonic reach the other end of the canon and put Tails' gum on the rock on the left side then strech it and puts it on the rock on the right side, they then run back infront of the stretched gum and taps their feet impatiently "We are waitiiiiing!" Sonic and Brody said as Grounder flies his plane into the gum making it strech pushing Grounder's plane back like a slingshot causing it to fly back into the air.

Brody and Sonic then wearing an artist shirt and beret and holding a palette and a paintbrush as they paint  a bullseye on the mountain in front of him and they run back as Grounder flies into it crashing.

"Ah, crashing!" Brody said "I womder if Tails is gonna want his gum back" Sonic said "Bwahahaha! Thought you two could get away, huh, Hedgehog and Wolf?" Scratch asks and Sonic and Brody yawn "Another day..." Sonic started "Another daring escape" Brody finished and the two tried to run away but their right foot got caught between two sets of rocks and they gasp and try to pull their feet away but to no avail as they look up seeing Scratch flying his plane towards them "Uh-oh" Brody and Sonic said.

"Oh my gosh! Sonic and Brody are stuck!" Tails said and flies towards them with Goobster bouncing alongside him. Goobster whimpers as he continues bouncing "Hang on, Sonic and Brody! I'm coming! I'll save you two!" Tails said "I got you now suckers!" Scratch said getting closer to Sonic and Brody as Goobster grows large and sucks up Scratch's plane "I guess some sucker got me!" Scratch said falling down.

Goobster chews Scratch's 0lane to pieces returning to his original size and pants happy then bounces away as Sonic and Brody pull each other's foot out from the rocks as Tails flies up to them "Wow! Did you guys see that?" Tails asks landing next to Sonic and Brody as Goobster bounces up to him "Yeah! Uh, thanks Goobster" Brody said "Thanks, whatever you are Goibster. I guess we owe you one" Sonic said and Goobster licks their faces "Hey watch it! We just had a bath!" Sonic said as the two get Goobster away and he bounces up and down unhappy "Uh-oh looks like he's getting hungry!" Brody said "And we are still out of chili dogs!" Tails said "Now Goobster, uh, calm down" Sonic said as Goobster grows "He looks kindnof upset!" Tails said "Be right back!" Brody and Sonic said running off and come back trying to give Goobster other foods to no avail.

"I guess it's gotta be chili dogs!" Tails said as Goobster started sucking "Oh, all right!" Brody and Sonic said bringing a plate full of chili dogs and they throw it into Goobster's mouth and he eats it happily going back to normal size "We were saving those for my retirement!" Sonic said and Brody nodded.

*Later*

"But Sonic, Brody, Goobster's my friend. He never meant to be bad, honest! I promise he'll never do it again!" Tails said as Sonic and Brody are pacing back and forth and they stop to look at Tails "Look, squirt, he's just too dangerous!" Sonic said and the two walk away "But he's not dangerous, really! He's just a.... a... a good eater! You two eat lots and nobody cares!" Tails said running up to them and Brody and Sonic look at Tails.

"We eat chili dogs, not entire zip codes!" Brody said "Face it, the little dweeb is a menace!" Sonic said as Goobster wimpers sadly and bounces away as Sonic and Brody keep pacing "But Sonic! Brody!" Tails said and Brody and Sonic look at him "But nothing! Lopk at what he did Tails! He's probably some alien creature, like from another dimension or something" Brody said sternly "Awesome! And I'm the first kid on Mobius to have one!" Tails said "Now come on, Tails you know we can't keep him!" Sonic said "I guess not" Tails said.

At the same time Goobster was bouncing to a trail of hot dogs as it reaches the end to a truck filled with hot dogs where Scratch and Grounder are and get Goobster inside the truck and they laugh evilly and drive back to Robotnik's fortress.

Brody and Sonic were still pacing and Tails was sitting atop a ledge "When that lightning hit the ground, it was like some door from another dimension opened up! I think Goobster fell through that door!" Brody said "So?" Tails asks "So we gotta figure out how to make that door open again and get Goobster back home!" Sonic said "I guess, if we have to" Tails said "First, we gotta bring Goobster back to...." Brody said and looks around not finding Goobster "Hey where is Goobster?" Brody asks and Sonic sees a note on a boulder and runs to it and grabs it "What's this?" Sonic asks "It's from Robotnik. 'I've got your little pet. If you ever want to see him again, give yourselves up!' " Sonic read "We gotta save him! We just gotta!" Tails said "We gotta do something! If Robotnik finds out how dangerous he is, Robotnik could use Goobster to gobble up the whole planet!" Brody said and the three run off.

*At Robotnik's Fortress*

The trio arrived at Robotnik's fortress and they get in "Out of our way, Eggbelly!" Sonic said "Oh dear! This place is such a mess! What must you think?" Robotnik asks "Luckily, you're just in time for a little spring cleaning!" Scratch said and the two open a door revealing Groundernoperating a machine with Goobster trapped in it "Goobster!" Tails said and tryes to run up to Goibster but Sonic and Brody hold him back "Oh, Grounder! I think it's time to vacuum up all this unsightly litter!" Robotnik said You got it your meanness!" Grounder said and oresses the green button making the machine electrocute Goobster and tryes to suck up Sonic, Brody and Tails and they scream as Goobster sucks them up and swallows them but ends up burping them out and the trio flyes into Scratch and Grounder launching them into the air and they hit the floor as the trio grunt as they hit a wall "Now that was a world-class burp!" Sonic said and the trio run off and Sonic and Brody run to the machine and free Goobster and throw the machine at Scratch and Grounder and Goobster bounces happily into Tails' arms.

"Goobster!" Tails said and Robotnik walks back in "What the?!" Robotnik asks and gasps "Come on kid! Time to speed!" Brody said as the trio runs away with Goobster in Tails' arms "After them!" Robotnik said and Scratch and Grounder chase after them. Sonic and Brody run along the forest path as Robotnik, Scratch and Grounder chase after him in their Egg-O-Matic hovercraft. Sonic and Brody stop when they, Tails and Goobster reach a cliff "Uh-oh! Sonic, Brody, they're right behind us!" Tails said as Robotnik, Scratch and Grounder get closer "Good! Now, stand back!" Brody said as he and Sonic spin through a tree on the cliff causing it to fall over and make a bridge across the gap. They then grab Tails' hands "Come on!" Sonic said and the two run across the tree with Tails and screech to a halt when they get on the other side. Sonic and Brody spin back to the tree and cuts it down in the middle as Robotnik drives his Egg-O-Matic on wheels and they all fall.

It soon rains as Sonic and Brody screech to a halt at the spot Goobster's portal first appeared "Perfect! It's starting to rain! Over here, Goobster!" Brody said and Tails hands Goobster to Brody who puts him on the tree stump "What you gonna do Brody?" Tails asks "This is the exact spot where the lightning hit! If we can make that happen again the same way, there's a chance Goobster will be zapped back into his own dimension!" Brody said and between two storm clouds, Grounder has propellers and flies through the air carrying Robotnik and Scratch who were holding bombs "There they are!" Robotnik said "It's showtime, kid!" Sonic and Brody said "Okay let em' go!" Robotnik said to Scratch but Grounder thought it was for him and let go of Scratch and Robotnik "Not us you idiot! The bombs!" Robotnik said as the two hit the ground "Uh-oh, the boss is gonna hold this against me for sure! I'd better catch that hedgehog and wolf!" Grounder said "Hey Flounder!" Sonic said "Looking for us?" The two asked "That's Grounder!" Grounder said and flyes at them "Sorry, slow-mo! Better never than late!" Brody said as he and Sonic move out the way making Grounder run into a tree and thunder booms and lightning flashes. The lightning electrocutes Grounder and falls into the hole. The lightning creates the portal Goobster came from, and Goobster hopes to the edge of the stump.

He smiles and wimpers happily as he hops into the portal, where his Mom and Dad are waiting for him. They all rub up against each other and Tails waves goodbye to Goobster as tears fills up the young fox's eyes. Goobster and his parents all wave goodbye to Tails, who smiles. The portal closes and the storm clouds move away revealing the sun.

Sonic and Brody have their hands behind Tails' back who was sad"Hey, the sun's coming out! Wanna go get some chili dogs?" Sonic asks andnTails looks at them sadly "That's okay, I'm not really hungry" Tails said "Aw, come on! After lunch, maybe we could discuss get you a new pet" Brody said as he and Sonic walk away "Really?" Tails asks cheering up and walks up to them "You mean like a wild rock-eating gundertorke?" Tails asks "Uh, I was thinking more like a goldfish, but we'll talk" Brody said as this chapter comes to an end.
