Third Person's POV

Thunder bools and lightning flashes as Robotnik was in his fortress "Dr. Robotnik, your supreme nastiness!" Scratch said as he and Grounder walk in pushing a wheelbarrow that a kangaroo named MacHopper who is handcuffed "Here's the recrut who volunteered to eliminate Sonic and Bridy! Bwahahaha!" Scratch said "In a pig's eye, mate! I've been battling Dr. Bigbuttnik...." MacHopper said grabbing Scratch's tail feather and pulls it "Yeow-how-how!" Scratch said  and MacHopper uses it to take off the handcuffs "Ever since I was a wee nipper!" MacHopper said "And I've got no plan to stop now!" He said getting out the barrel and tried to fight but Robotnik catches him with four arms that wrap around him  "Excellent work, MacHopper!" Robotnik said "It's exactly that kind of talent which made me realize that you may be the one Mobian citizen talented enoigh to capture that wolf and hedgehog!" He said.

*Meanwhile*

Sonic and Brody are running across the forest as it is still raining. They stop when they come to some trees and they see Tails flying "Tails, get down from there!" Brody said "What's the big deal, Brody? It's only a little rain!" Tails said as Brody and Sonic run up a tree and snatch Tails and get down just in time as a bolt of lightning strikes the tree "It's not the rain we were worried about, little buddy!" Sonic said "We gotta speed, kiddo! Sonic and I heard  that our buddy, MacHopper is a prisoner at Robotnik's lab!" Brody said as he and Sonic runs off with Tails flying behind "And we've gotta get him out before they do something awful to him!" Sonic said.

*Back to Robotnik's Fortress*

Robotnik hypnoticez MacHopper so that his only goal in life is to capture Brody, Sonic and Tails and bring them to him. At that moment thunder booms and a lightning bolt strikes Robotnik's Fortress creating an explosion.

Sonic and Brody run across a path then screech to a haly when they come across a Mobium. Tails lands near them and tries to grab the Mobium but Brody puts his foot over it "Look, it's Mac!" Brody said as MacHopper was approaching them "That's great, Brody, but if you don't mind you just put your foot on a dime and I could use that change!" Tails said and Brody lifts his foot and MacHopper hops up to him, Sonic and Tails. MacHopper grabs the Mobium before Tails can "Thank you, waiter! I was looking for that everywhere!" MacHopper said and grabs Tails' hand walking away "Now, if you'll take my order, I'd like a chili dog with a side of eucalyptus leaves!" He said and Brody holds up his hands.

"MacHopper are you okay? Don't you recognize us? It's us, Brody and Sonic!" Brody said and MacHopper walks to Brody shaking his hand "Hey, i never forget a face! Now, who do you say you are?" MacHopper asks and Tails walks up to them "It's Brody, Sonic and Tails, MacHopper!" Tails "And who is this 'MacHopper' bloke people keep confusing me with?" MacHopper asks and the trio get close "It's worse than I thought! Dr. Robotnik has stolen his mind!" Sonic said "I don't know, is that really all he wanted to do?" Brody asks unsure "Mind? I don't mind if you don't mind!" MacHopper said and hops away to a tree tied back like a catapult with a raft on it "Now, if you'll just follow me to this little gizmo I tossed together in my spare time!" MacHopper said hopping onto the raft and Sonic, Brody and Tails do the same "My unerring instinct for chili dogs tells me, if I take this axe here" MacHopper taking out a axe causing the trio to stare in shock and scream as MacHopper cuts the rope causing the tree to launch the raft into the air.

With some help from Tails getting a blanket to use as a flag they reach Dogster's restaurant crashing through the roof. Meanwhile Scratch and Grounder drive a car down the road to the restaurant "We gotta get Mac or Dr. Robotnik's gonna turn us into paperweights!" Scratch said as they see the restaurant "Hey hey! Hey! That's the Dogeteria, the restaurant where MacHopper's supposed to ambush Sonic and Brody!" He said "Gee, maybe that means the 'Captyre Sonic and Brody' program's working after all!" Grounder said.

Sonic, Brody and Tails lay dazed on the raft while MacHopper is hanging from the ceiling fan with hypnotic eyes "I say waiter, couls I have some service? Never mind I'll get it myself!" MacHopper said turning the fan on and it tosses him into the vat of chili. Sonic, Bridy and Tails stare in shock "Mac! Buddy! Speak to us!" Sonic said as the trio runs up to the vat of chili "Are you okay?" Brody asks as MacHopper  jumps out the vat and all over the restaurant landing on the raft "Wallopin' wallabies! Heh heh! That chili packs a punch! G'day, Sonic, g'day Brody, g'day Tails! What brings you blokes here? And care to join me in a dog or two?" MacHopper asks and falls over and Tails looks at Brody.

"Brody! What doyou think happened?" Tails asks and Brody hums in thought "The chili must have restored his memory!" Brody said "Which means we'd better get some more into him, pronto!" Sonic said pushing a hospital bed and Tails is carrying a syringe and funnel. Brody and Sonic grunt as they pick up MacHopper placing him on the hospital bed "Syringe!" Brody said and Tails hands it to him "Syringe!" Tails said and Brody removes the top of the syringe "Funnel!" Brody said and Sonic hands him the funnel "Funnel!" Sonic said "Chili!" Brody said and Tails holds the vat and Sonic scoops up some chili "Chili!" Sonic and Tails said putting the chili in the syringe and Brody puts the funnel on "Now say, ah!" Brody said putting the funnel in MacHopper's mother "Brody, look out!" Tails said as the rope holding the raft together breaks making the raft fall apart causing the four to fall off the raft and MacHopper's eyes become hypnotic.

"I say young chap; have you ever had the uncontrollable urge to capture a hedgehog and a wolf?" MacHopper asks grabbing a bag and hops to the counter putting the bag over the vat of chili and the fumes cause it to inflate "Cause if you did, all you have to do is collect a bunch of chili fumes, like so" MacHopper said and pulls a tray of kinked sausages and ties them around the bag of fumes "Load a string of hot links, like so and fire then at the nearest convenient hedgehog and wolf, like so!" MacHopper said and Sonic and Brody gasp as the linked sausages wrap themselves around Sonic and Brody "Yikes!" Sonic and Brody said as MacHopper stands near the door when Scratch pushes it open "Ho ho! MacHopper! You've done it! You've captured Sonic and Brody! Bwahahaha!" Scratch said "Oh, Dr. Robotnik will be so proud of us!" Grounder said as MacHopper gets out of the door his eyes hypnotic "Whoa, who's Dr. Robotnik? Who's Sonic? Who's Brody? And who is this bloke MacHopper?" MacHopper asks and Tails flyes up to Brody grabbing the syringe and sprays the chili at MacHopper "Let's see if this chili can jog your memory!" Tails said and MacHopper shakes the chili off his face "Oh, hoo-whee! Now I remember everything) oh, caterwauling koalas! What have I done?" MacHopper asks "You've made all our dreams come true! Bwahahaha!" Scratch said and Brody gets MacHopper's attention.

"The dim-bots are right, and that calls for celebration!" Brody said as Tails disguised as a waiter holds a pencil and a pad of paper and runs up to Scratch and Grounder "Shall we say, chili dogs all around?" Tails asks "We're robots, we dont eat!" Scratch said "I do! That spicy stuff cleans out my turbo charger!" Grounder said and Tails runs up to Sonic and Brody and winks at them "Then chili dogs all around is what it'll be!" Sonic said as Tails grabs the linked sausages Sonic and Brody are tied with untying them and Scratch and Grounder stare in shock as Tails tyes them with it "Hog-tied by hot links? How humiliating!" Scratch said as Sonic, Brody and Tails run up to MacHopper "Now let's get out of here!" Brody said "Oh, where's 'here'?" MacHopper asks and Tails puts the syring in MacHopper's mouth and sprays some chili into it "Oh, this 'here'! Okay guys, follow me!" MacHopper said hopping out the door and the teio follows him.

They come to a rowboat near a gristmill and MacHopper puts his hand Brody's shoulder "Now listen up mates, here's what we do!" MacHopper said as Scratch hops himself and Grounder out of the restaurant "D'oh, if I ever get my beak on that wolf and that hedgehog, they are in for a peck of trouble!" Scratch said jumping into the car pressing the on button with his beak making the car drive through the restaurant.

Meanwhile Brody runs up to a pink bicycle "It's a great plan, MacHopper! I'll build it just the way you said!" Brody said and holds wrenches and runs around the bicycle and runs off with it to the gristmill's water wheel. He then runs off with it and makes a pedal-powered mechanism for the rowboat. Brody is now in it wearing a green life jacket "Come on, slow-mos! Hop in!" Brody said and MacHopper hops into the rowboat as does Tails and Sonic relunctanly gets in, the three also wearing green life jackets "You better not do any of your tricks when you are in water o-okay?" Sonic said shivering "No problemo love. Cause I'm up, over and gone!" Brody said jumping onto the bicycle and pedals on it.

Meanwhile, Scratch and Grounder drive the car through Dogster's and into the water "Ho! They're doomed! They're done for! Bwahahaha!" Scratch said. As Brody continues pedaling, Tails, Sonic and MacHopper look behind him "Faster Brody!" Tails said "But careful!" Sonic said "They're gaining on us!" Tails said "That's because I was coasting!" Brody said as he pedals faster, creating a wave that splashes Scratch and Grounder  and they scream sinking into the water.

"Scratch, I'm getting this terrible sinking feeling!" Grounder said "Me too!" Scratch said as Sonic, Tails and MacHopper look at Brody "Way to go love!" Sonic said "Scratch and Grounder'll never catch us now!" Tails said and MacHopper stares in shock "Whoa! On the other hand, mates, there'll be nothing left to catch!" MacHopper said as a waterfall was ahead.

Sonic, Brody, Tails and MacHopper head towards the waterfall and they fall "Hang on! MacHopper, what's in your pouch?" Brody asks "Oh just a few things that occasionally come in handy!" MacHopper said pulling out a chandellier and Brody snatches it "This chandelier will do!" Brody said and spins it tossing it through the waterfall "Now why didn't I think of that?" MacHopper asks as the chandelier wraps around a rock on the other side and the rowboat lands on the ledge below.

"Allright! We did it!" Tails said while Scratch and Grounder fall down the waterfall. Robotnik gave them a call and Scratch said they'll get MacHopper as he lost his memory amd Robotnik decided said he'll post wanted posters to let people know he wants MacHopper and give a hefty reward.

*Later*

Sonic is holding the half-full syringe of chili "We've got just enough to get you back to Robotnik's lab and reverse what they did to you!" Sonic said as Bridy and MacHopper turned the water wheel into a helicopter's propeller "And when we get there, I'm gonna give that Robotnik bloke a piece of my mind!" MacHopper said "That is, once I get enough to think, something or what" MacHopper said "Are we ready for launch?" Tails asks as Brody and Sonic jump onto the rowboat and MacHopper wears a pilot's helmet, googles and scarf "Roger Wilco! Keep the bow up, Tails! Okay, Sonic and Brody, let her rip!" MacHopper said and Brody pedals which starts the propeller "And away we go!" MacHopper said and they take off.

*Sometime Later*

They ended up going back to land running into Scratch and Grounder but they send them flying away but MacHopper ended up getting hit going back in the hypnotic trance.

The four head to a tunnel per MacHopper's advice and they arrive to Robotnik's lab and MacHopper handcuffs Sonic, Brody and Tails. The trio walk across the hall of Robotnik's fortress with MacHopper hopping behind them "Hey, Sonic, Brody what's going on?" Tails asks "Looks like the chili dog wore off" Sonic said "And doc Robotnik's evil programming kicked back in!" Brody said and Robotnik sees them "Wait! Does this mean my ultimate hedgehog and wolf hunter actually did the job I programmed his brain for?" Robotnik asks "You have definitely succeeded, my supreme lord and master!" MacHopper said "There's always a first for everything!" Sonic said "Sonic! Brody! I'm so happy to see you two! Now that my wonderful creation has taken you two prisoners, I'm going to have you sent off on an ocean cruise" Robotnik said "As an icicle! Your triple spinning days are done!" He said "Robotnik, old bean, you've got us dead to rights, but even the lowliest convict gets a final request" Brody said "Well, 'I'm waiting'!" Robotnik said "One last chili dog for me, my little buddy Tails and my live Sonic" Brody said "A chili dog? Considering how chili you're about to become, how could I refuse?" Robotnik asks.

*At the kitchen*

"There help yourself!" Robotnik said "Keep an eye on them, MacHopper! Oh, it's gratifying to know I finally buily something I can trust!" He said and left and the trio winks at each other "Okay, Verne, it's time to burn!" Sonic said running to the fridge and comes back with chili dogs in each hand "Mmm! Those little flamers look good!" MacHopper said "Then have somd heartburn on us!" Brody said as Sonic tosses the chili dogs at MacHopper who catches them in his mouth. Steam emits from his ears and he hollers "Hoo-Whee! You take a bite iut of those tinkers, and they bite you right back! But.... where are we? And what in the dingeridoo is going on?" MacHopper asks and Brody hushes him then signals.

"Dr R." MacHopper saod walking to Robotnik "I've just found out that some of Sonic and Brody's friends are on their way to rescue Sonic, Brody and Tails!" MacHopper said "What do you suggest?" Robotnik asks "Well I'd say we'd better install a magnetic force field pronto or the good guys'll break in and rescue those three, simple as strawberry pie!" MacHopper said pointing at the trio "Hmmm, as much ad I like strawberry pie, a rescue is totally out of the question!" Robotnik said and MacHopper looks at the trio "Well, don't just stand there prisoners!" MacHopper said "You heard the kangaroo, lend him a hand!" Robotnik said and the four start working.

"Can't you work any faster?" Robotnik asks and the four stop when they finished "Let her rip, good buddy!" Brody said and MacHopper pushes the lever turning the magnetic force filed on. The force field attracts everything made of metal in Robotnik's fortress "Excellent work, MacHopper! Huh? Huh? But what's happening to you?" Robotnik asks as sparks surge through MacHoppers head and his eyes are hypnotic "I'm cleaning iut all your evil programming, Dr. Bigbuttnik! As of now..." MacHopper said shaking his head and his eyes are no longer hypnotic no longer being under Robotnik's control "I'm free!" MacHopper said "Of course you're free! I never pay amy of my minions! Now stop this nonsense immediately!" Robotnik said and the force field continues and becomes so strong it creates a wave that emits outside of Robotniks fortress and Scratch and Grounder are flying above the fortress in their rocket and the magnetic force pulls their rocket down.

"Hey, we're heading to Dr Robotnik's fortress!" Grounder said as the rocket gets closer. Sonic and Brody look out the window then run away grabbing Tails and MacHopper's hands "Well its been great as always, Dr. R, but now we've really gotta go!" Brody and Sonic said "No, you two can't! I wont let you!" Robotnik said as the four look up and gasp and run away as Scratch and Grounder's rocket flies into Robotnik's Fortress and crashes destroying it, "Sonic and Bridy you two are doomed!" Robotnik said "There's no escape from the wrath of Robotnik!" He said as he, Scratch and Grounder fall over "I hate that hedgehog! I hate that wolf!" Robotnik said.

Tails high-fives with Sonic and Brody and so does MacHopper "Way to go, MacHopper!" Sonic, Brody and Tails said "Thank you, mates! And who knows? Maybe someday, I'll even remember what it is that I've done!" MacHopper said as this chapter comes to an end.
