cybele is an animal and nature lover. she is, after all, the goddess of animals, mountains, and wildlife in greek myth. she's known for her warm personality to those of the fuzzy persuasion, but she's a bit standoffish to humans. she likes the solidarity of her home deep within the mountains and she likes her job in the small town's animal rescue. oddly enough, she's always been quiet and timid when it came to those who were similar to gods. being a god doesn't make her confident in communication, and it always makes her feel like she has more power than she deserves. her heart is drawn to the familiar life of family, a family she never got from being related to a bunch of gods that always fought their entire life.

cybele was born after aphrodite to the goddess gaea and her father, zeus. earth and sky and lay together and birthed mountain, animals, and nature.

when the greek war of gods and giants broke out across the lands, cybele sided with zeus and his children and siblings, while her mother sided with Kronos. this war strained relationships between monsters, giants, gods, and titans that roam the earth today. cybele is very rarely watched by her father — she had, after all, fought for him in that war.

however, hades had let loose one day that cybele started talking to gaea two hundred years after the war. this had caused an argument that resulted in disastrous storms across the planet due to her and zeus' arguing.

zeus had forbade cybele from further contacting gaea unless she feels the desire to be punished greatly. sadly, gaea is silent these days and she rarely has conversations with her mother like she used to.
