Adventures of Ardhoniel ch 9.....................? 

We rode at full speed. We got there when it was starting to get dark. We entered and put our horses in the stables. Me and Legolas ran to Eruanna's house and went inside.

"Back already?" She said. "Did they kick you out because you didn't show up for the party?"

"No, " I said. "What happened while we were gone?"

"Ummm....." she said. " well, when you left I went to Elrond's house to organize his books. That all that really happened that doesn't usually happen."

"Was there anybody.... unusual, that came here?" Legolas asked.

"Actually, yeah. She came to my house and asked where you guys were, and when you would come back. I told her you were probably in Hobbiton,  and you would probably come back in a couple days. After that she looked mad and she left. She just walked around Rivendell. I think she was waiting for you. Is that all you needed to know?"

"Yea, thanks." We left her house. It was already dark. I didn't know what to do, so me and Legolas just walked around Rivendell and talked.

"Why does she want to know where we are?" I asked.

"I don't know." He answered.

"Is she mad that we came back or something?"

"No, she cant be. I think she meant for us to go down there. Don't you wonder why she waited so long before coming here? I think she was waiting to go in there until we got there."

"But why? Why does she want us here?"

"I think she plans to use us... somehow." After he said this he suddenly looked toward a tree.

"What do you see?" I asked. I didn't see anything. It was really far away.

"..... Its her."

"What is she doing?"

"She's just staring at us."

"I don't see anything, super eyes."

"Shes there I swearz! Wait, now shes walking toward us..."

"What do we do?" He shrugged.

After a while I saw her. She had a hood over her face... She held up something. I heard her say in my mind , " Tick tick, your times running out!" Then she disappeared. I started hearing a ticking noise. I looked at Legolas. Nope, no bomb on him.

"What was that?" He asked. "Did she say anything?"

"Legolas, do you hear a ticking sound?"

"Yeah." He looked at my back. "Ummmm, I think you're a walking time bomb!"

"How much time's on it?"

"15 minutes."

I ran to the stables, got on my horse, and started running. Legolas jumped on my horse right before I left.

"What are you doing?" I asked as I rode out of Rivendell.

"Well, somebody has to get it off your back!"

"At least I'll know how much time I'll have." I thought in my mind, "at least he'll be with me"

After a while I get to a big field. I saw a lake in the distance, so I head for that. I am just a couple yards away when Legolas said "4 minutes."

We get off my horse and Legolas immediately started trying to take the bomb off my back.

After he struggled for a while I said "Hurry up!!!!!!!!! How much time is left????" She must have used super glue or something like that to put it on my back.

"A minute don't stress me out!!!!!!!"

He finally ripped it off the back of my shirt.

"8 seconds!!!!!!! " he yelled. "Run!!!!!!!!!!!!" He ran to the lake. I look behind me. I see him get out his bow and he sticks the bomb (because it had a little tape on it)  on an arrow. He then shoots the arrow like all the way almost to the other side of the lake and he runs to me. We watch the bomb blow up and water splash everywhere.

"That was my last arrow...." Legolas said. All of a sudden he said "I'm tired. " and collapsed from exhaustion.
