I wake up in a familiar place. It was the woods me and Legolas were in when the portal first appeared!!! I look beside me. Legolas was laying on the ground next to me.

I sit up. How long have we been here? I turn around to see our horses are still there. It was raining here, too. Whether it was a coincidence or it had the same weather in both worlds I do not know.

I wake Legolas up.

"Are we home?" He asks hopefully as he sits up.

"Yes." I answer. He just smiles and lays back down.

I get on my horse and make it stand right next to him. "You better get up," I say. He open his eyes and looks at the horse like 'you better not step on me or I'll kill you '. He gets on his and we head for Rivendell.

We finally get there. It only took an hour, but to me it seemed like centuries.

When we entered I heard some of the elves say "where were they? They were gone for a month!" And some said " there they are! I was worried sick about them!"

"A month?" I say. We were only gone for 4 days!"

"I have no idea how that happened." Legolas says.

We get to the stables and put our horses in. Legolas darts off somewhere so I head for home.

I was walking toward my house when I saw Eruanna. She's my bestie :)

"Ardhoniel!!!!!!!!!" She said. She gives me a big hug. "Where were you?? I was worried!!!!!!! You and Legolas were going to the Shire like a month ago!!!!!!!!"

"Eruanna you have no idea what I've went through this past month!!!!"

I said. "Come to my house and I'll tell you all about it!!!" But in the back of my mind I was thinking 'Oh no!!! I missed Cole's birthday!!!!!! I bet he feels so sad that me and Legolas didn't go!!!! Harry must be disappointed too!!!!"

Once we're at my house, I hurriedly tell Eruanna everything that happened since I left.

When I was done she said " Wow, I almost don't believe it. If you didn't seem so serious, I wouldn't believe it!"

"Its real, I swear!" I said.

"Wow. You alright?"

"Yea I'm fine. I'm just glad to be back home.

"You're crushed cause you missed Cole's birthday, aren't you?"

"Kinda. I'm going today, and if I see any more portals I wont be stupid and go into them! But do you wanna go with me? Cole and Harry probably wanna see you too!"

"I wish I could but I'm busy today! Elrond wants me to do a job for him. He said something like organizing his books or something. I cant refuse because he is like the king of Rivendell or whatever."

"Ok. Well, have fun organizing Elrond's books!" I got up and ran out of my house. I walk around Rivendell trying to find Legolas. I finally see him. He already has our horses ready. He must have realized we missed his birthday too, and knew I would come looking for him.

I ran up to him and got on my horse. "Hurry up slowpoke! " I said. He got on his horse and we rode towards the Shire.
