Adventures of Ardhoniel ch 5

We walk into her house and she shuts the door behind us. She seems to like to keep her house neat and tidy, and she did not like the sight of my blood getting on her floor. She tells me to sit at the counter so she can put stuff on my hands. Legolas sits next to me and looks at the owner.

"You know," he says, " everybody we meet seems to never want to tell us their name."

"My names jessie," she says as she grabs medicine out of a drawer.

"And I'm Ariana!!! " I hear a voice from the living room say.

"Shes my 16 year old sister. Don't mind her." Jessie says. She stands on the other side of the counter and puts medicine stuff on my hands.

"Ow!" I say.

"Hold still little krumpit! It'll only sting a little."

After she pours that stingy stuff on my hands she wraps them up in a bandage. Jessie wants to ask us a bunch of questions so we all go and sit on the couch.

Jessie and Ariana had plenty of questions to ask, and I let Legolas answer most of them. He tells them everything that happened in this book so far.

Finally Ariana asks, "Are you guys together?"

I secretly think in my mind " I wish...."

I look at Legolas. What will he say?

Legolas nervously answers, "Um... no, of course not!

"We're just friends" I add.

Jessie and Ariana look at each other and smirk. It doesn't look like they believe it.

"Its getting really late," I say, desperate to get out of that awkward conversation.

"Oh yeah I bet you guys are tired from almost dying today," jessie says. Goodnight! !

Me and Legolas go to bed.

Me and Legolas are the first ones to get up the next morning. Legolas went outside so I decide to join him.

I go outside to see Legolas sitting on the steps, staring into the distance. I sit down next to him.

"I was thinking," he says, "since Hanna built the portal, maybe we should go into the hole, find her, and make her return us home. After your hands are better of course.

"Yeah, we should. I really want to go home."

He looks at my hands. "Feel any better?"

" I just hope she doesn't have to put any more of that medicine on them.
