Informing the Children

Later that day, Percy was in the process of creating his "Emotion-Energy Converter" when suddenly, the "Visitor Alert" of his bedroom door started going off again! He went up to check on it, and once again, it was his dad. Maybe I should have this changed to a burglar alarm, Percy thought to himself.

He opened the door, and his dad immediately asked, "Hey, son, how would you feel about a father-son camping trip next Sunday?"

"It would kinda make me wish I had a brother," Percy snarked back. Mr. Overwood simply chuckled and added, "What about if you got to do it with a certain friend of yours?"

This quickly piqued Percy's curiosity, as he quietly leaned in closer to his dad and said, "Which one of my friends?"

Geoffrey opened up his eyes and calmly responded, "Hey, Dad. Just getting some meditation in."

"Well, how would you feel about you and me going on a father-son camping trip with one of your friends next Saturday?" Mr. Wildest   asked.

"I would be pretty excited," Geoffrey answered, "which one of my friends?"

"Percy," Mr. Wilde replied. This left Geoffrey in a rare state of surprise. He and Percy weren't known for getting along very well...
