Operation: Party Prep

The next morning, the kids woke up (at different times, of course), got their morning schedules done, and started preparing to put the plan into action. Percy grabbed his lined notepad, Andy got his guitar and birthday song, and Timmy and Oliver got the party decorations. Once everyone was at Jungle Cafe, Timmy said, "Okay. Everyone ready?"

"You bet!" Barry blurted enthusiastically, "I already know that this is gonna be so totally awesome!"

Geoffrey was at the counter. "Hi. Uh, does this place do to-go cakes?"

"We sure do," the counter boy responded cheerfully, "What'll it be?"

"Lemon drizzle," Geoffrey answered, "Lenny's favorite. Today is his birthday."

"Huh. Well, I hope he has a good one."

"Andy, have you got your song ready?" Alice asked, to which Andy shyly answered, "Y-yeah. You wanna take a look?"

He showed her the lyrics, and she simply commented, "Wow! How do you manage to come up with lyrics like these? They're awesome!"

Andy blushed brightly, tried to hide his cherry red face in his scarf, and simply said, "Uh, th-thanks."

"Okay, Alice," Oliver said, "I hope you're ready to spend a day with Lenster."

"I am," Alice confidently declared, "Now who's ready to order lunch?"

They all raised their hands and got different things for lunch. Alice got a grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough, Timmy got summer greens, Oliver got a turkey avocado Cobb salad, Geoffrey got a vegetarian sandwich, Barry got an extra-large arugula chicken salad (being an athlete does crazy things to your appetite), Andy also got a grilled cheese, and Percy got a spinach almond salad.

Once they were done with that, Geoffrey picked up the lemon drizzle cake, and they all headed to Parrot Park. Except for Alice. She headed to Lenny's house.
