Unlike the other sitters, and most of the population, they were born with supernatural abilities. These abilities range from simply being able to sense spirits, to actually being able to physically enter the other world.

Tragically, many of the spirits that haunt this story died before they turned twelve. Even those that have no regrets have been unable to move on, though the reason for that remains unclear.
