It all began as a normal Nightmare Night celebration. The Mane Six have decided to be villains of Equestria. Fluttershy went as her chaotic crush Discord, Twilight Sparkle went as her evil self Midnight Sparkle, Rarity went as Queen Chrysalis, Pinkie Pie as King Sombra, Rainbow Dash as Nightmare Moon, and Apple Jack went as Lord Tirek. 

The girls were on their way to to the Apple Farm to go help Granny Smith with the Nightmare Night party in the barn. When the girls arrived they quickly gathered the supplies and started decorating. All of a sudden a portal opened in the wall and was almost like a twister trying to suck in the Mane Six. Before the girls lost their grip they looked up to find the dazzlings all at the door of the barn singing and chanting something. Their eyes glowed red as they had before in the band competition back in the human world. One at a time the girls were sucked into the portal with evil spreading throughout Equestria, freezing time so that the dazzlings could have their revenge.

What no one knew was the dazzlings didn't know what spell they were using. They thought that they were sending them into space where they would lose air and die, but that wasn't the case. Instead it sent the girls into six different dimensions that they would have to get out of to get back to Equestria to make things right.
