Edric's P.O.V.

"Edric, we Children never knew you, but please, before you do this, ask yourself: 'is this who you really are? A heartless civilization destroyer? Or are you just a misunderstood soul who never got the love he needed?" Rosaline asked me as I was about to destroy the temple, the last standing part of Venus' civilization.

"I beg you to understand. Something will happen soon in the future that will destroy all the Star Kingdom... I am doing this to help prepare you and others for the suffering and the loss."

"...You really are heartless."

Those words haunted me...

Now here I am...

About to bring harm to another pure soul.

"Just get it over with." I looked at the blonde girl, who was staring at the ground. "Please."

"...what? You're asking me to end you?"

"No. I can sense your pain. I don't want to put you into more conflict than you are already in. The other senshi will probably realize something's up and come find me."

"...I'm not sure if this is who I am..."

I saw her look up at me with an expression of understanding.

"What caused you to doubt?" she asked.

"...I came into existence alone. I was just drifting in space from my lonely observatory, so that I may watch over the dwarf planets. I never knew of any other life forms, as I was never at the ceremony and was never declared an official Child. Like the Saturn Child Anima, I had no people to look after, but instead of accounting for deaths instead, I was simply all alone and at my post all the time."

"I wish I could've been there... you sound like you needed a friend."

"Well... one day, I met someone who seemed to have time-traveled or something. She called herself Sailor Eris, and she said that she would take over my post, as she had followed some evil here and was going to confront it on Eris. Being the foolish person I was, I accepted her offer and took a holiday. I met some of the other children and even Lady N, who seemed to be a lost cause in soul, as she could not see nor hear. She had a hard time separating the feeling of air to the feeling of a wall as well. She had been drained over many years of no power, and I decided to help her."

"So... you left your post... forever?"

"Yes, but that wasn't the worst mistake I made. The worst was when I listened to a fellow child who turned away of his own accord, Donovan. He told me to destroy all the life on Venus, and his plan for the Star Kingdom. After doing so with much remorse, he told me why. It was all for revenge against the Venus Child. It hurt me so to have known I was just used as a tool in such a plot... but he keeps asking me to bring more suffering..."

"But you don't have the heart to cope with all of that, do you?"
