When the kids got back to camp they were first scolded by david and gwen did nothing to help. She didnt like them.
They went to their tents and sat down questioning life. But thats when nikki started to cry.
Max and neil was confused because she loved adventures. They didnt know what else to do but confort her. Later that night, neil fell asleep. Max nikki was still up but nikki was just leaning on max calming down.
Max was flustered as hell and neil left him alone to deal with it himself. Asshole.
"Max. Im sorry." nikki said and startled max.
"F-For what?"
"For making you go when you didnt want to. Im sorry." nikki said tearing up more.
"Oh. Nikki its alright. You just wanted to have a little fun thats all."
"Yeah but i put us in danger while 'having fun'. Who knows what he would have donw after that." max didnt want her to feel bad and blame herself, so he just comfert her more telling me it was okay while she cried in his shoulder. It was a cute moment uwu.
Max couldn't take holding in his feelings anymore so he decided to tell her how he felt. But he wanted to wait for the right moment.
When she finally stopped crying he told her.

"Nikki I've been wanting to tell you something for a while." max said flustered not making eye contact.
"Sure. what is it?" nikki said looking up at him.
Max looked down at her. "I-...I like you...and i have for a while. I was just scared..."
Nikki started to blush. "I...like you too max." she smiled
They both went in for a kiss but Neil just had to stop it.
"God finally! I thought i had to tell her!" neill said sitting up in his bed.
Max and nikki blushed and max threw a book at him but it only made him tear up. "Fuck why wont it kill you?!"
Nikki laughed and kissed max on the lips. He kissed her back and neil was just sitting there looking away in disgust.
"Get a tent you two."
"You are in our tent dumbass." nikki scowled throwing a book at him.
"Stop throwing books at me!"

OMG im sorry i had to end the story so soon >n< im really bad at this. My i did make a max x reader! Go read it! It only has thres parts so far though.
