"I don't know why you all listened to me, not going to lie," You laughed as the three joined your group call.

"I've missed your voice," Chrollo was the first to respond, his voice soft in your ear.

"Missed you too," you laughed, half taunting, half because it feels awkward to just say 'okay.'

What? You had far more confidence over text than in call. Spamming the space bar on your keyboard to keep jumping. Hisoka quickly following suit.

"Disgusting." Illumi's voice was far colder, an instant reminder of your situation.

"I'm going to kick you out of the call, Illu." You threatened, punching his Minecraft character. Watching him get knocked back a block.

"Did you just attack me?"

He probably didn't understand any of the controls, it'd be fun to watch him repeatedly die once nightfall hits.

"I did." You purred, jumping around in circles with Hisoka.

"Is there a reason you and Morrow seem to be doing a satanic ritual in the middle of this field?" Chrollo asked, either confused or amused. You couldn't tell.

Not that you really needed to know.

"Are we not allowed to have fun? ♡" Hisoka asked, attacking Chrollo's character.

"We're not summoning Herobrine," You laughed, moving to kill a sheep that strolled by, "You're all so serious all the time."

"Hero who?" Chrollo asked.

"Why have you chosen to slaughter animals?" Illumi finally seemed to figure out how to walk. Taking a few steps forward.

"Food, and wool to make beds."

"Ah, so my food thing is important," Illumi noted.

"It seems so ♢," Hisoka purred, stopping his constant jumping and movement.

"We're on hard mode, so you'll start dying if your hunger bar runs out."

"Lovely ♡"

"I'm assuming the hearts is the health bar?" Chrollo finally started looking around. You like to imagine he was reading a tutorial. Seems like something he'd do.

Illumi, on the other hand, seemed entirely confused. Only able to walk a bit, and then stopping to turn.

"Mhm, that runs out and you die." You considered telling them death was temporary, but with the sun starting to set you assumed they'd figure it out.

"So just don't starve?" Illumi ran into a grass block repeatedly, until he finally figure out how to jump up onto it.

"Or die to other threats, yes."

"How ominous ♧"

"I'll be going to build a little house. You all collect food." You laughed as you ran into the woods. Well aware that they'd all be lost.

"I think I'll be disappearing for a moment too, ♤" You can only assume Hisoka also abandoned the group. Too busy collecting logs to build a small shack to stay in for the night. Maybe mine while you're at it.

It wasn't long before the chat popped up with the message of

After a brief silence, Illumi announced "I have died."

"Click respawn." You instructed, knowing you were safe in your little mine, collecting cobblestone with your stone pickaxe.

"Ah." Another moment of silence, "I am back at the start."

"That's spawn. You'll go there every time you die-" You cut yourself off when another death message appeared

Illumi was killed by Spider.

You laughed, both of them were probably running around like clueless idiots.

"This is tedious. You play this for entertainment?" Illumi asked, quickly becoming rather bitter. Even if he tried to hide it, "No wonder you're so good at escaping."

Now that you think of it, maybe it had prepared you for your very normal fate of running from two separate groups of serial killers.

"Zoldyck." Chrollo seemed very pleased with himself.

"I'm not the only Zoldyck here," Illumi reminded bitterly, obviously not used to losing in any way.

You blinked, momentarily pausing your mining as you stared at the new message. The other ones, such as opening your inventory and upgrading to stone pickaxes hadn't concerned you.

"Uh.. Hisoka, what'ya doing there?" You asked as the achievement message faded from screen.

Why would he be going to the nether? Why this early in the game? How does he even know about the nether?

"Speedrun ♡" Was all he said, you could almost hear the smirk on his face.

"Why.. why are you speedrunning?" How does he have enough experience to speedrun?

"Bored ♧"

You had assumed he would be a flower picker, honestly.

Or a miner. Since, y'know, he likes minors.

"Are you going to explain any of that?" Chrollo asked curiously, finally leaving Illumi alone and not killing him.

"Oh, Hisoka's going to hell." You explained rather perfectly. In your humble opinion.

"We all are aware of that. I believe Lucilfer was asking about the new achievement." Illumi spoke up. On Chrollo's behalf, for once.

"No, our dear is right ♡" Hisoka purred, despite having been silent most of the conversations, "I am in Minecraft hell."

"They have that?"

"Obviously?"

"Why?"

"Why not?"

"We're not getting answer out of you, are we?" Chrollo sighed, though he didn't sound too annoyed.

"Nope."

"You're lucky that I miss you as much as I do, dear."

"Don't remind me," you huffed. You were playing this to get away from the kidnapping stress. It had been months since you had an actual calm moment.

And, well, you feared that going to anyone else would just endanger them.

"My apologies-"

Before Chrollo could finish Illumi cut in, "I think it's best if you shut up, Lucilfer, hm?"

It was silent, for a moment you thought Chrollo was actually listening, before another message popped up.

To be fair, this was probably the only situation where Chrollo could easily kill Illumi with no consequences.

Fun Facts:

• Been awhile since I've done my obligatory Minecraft chapter

• More Minecraft next chapter because I accidentally went to go make the closing announcement for my work (right after talking about Minecraft with my coworker) and said "Attention Minecraft shoppers- wait no" before slamming the phone down while my coworker laughed at me.

• Y/n's behavior has changed from only being focused on escaping (which vaguely started around chapter 15, when they started disappearing for weeks/months on end.) back to trying to have fun. The stress from being in a constant battle of intelligence and manipulation, while also trying to run from some of the strongest people ever is starting to get to them:)
