One month later, Adrien and Marinette secretly keep in touch by text.  He is glad Alya gave him Marinette's number. This way he can at least still contact her.  He still has not been able to tell Marinette he likes her yet. He is glad she is doing well though.

       "Does your father know you text Marinette?"  Plagg asks.

        "No, but am I careful not to leave my phone lying around," Adrien says.

     Plagg hears footsteps in the hall and immediately hides. He can not risk being seen.

     "Adrien, why does it show long-distance text charges for  the last month?"  Gabriel demands to know.

     "What, were you spying on me?" Adrien ask.

     "I pay the phone bill and it says there are charges for text to Florida!" Gabriel says rather angry.

"Oh, boy!" Adrien says as his jaw drops in horror.  His father knows about it.

"Explain now!"  Gabriel says furiously.  He glares at Adrien in anger.

"I have been texting a friend!" Adrien says. He wishes he would have said anything.

"Well, not anymore!"  Gabriel says, he grabs the phone out of Adrien's pocket and pushes in a few buttons. He deletes all the numbers in it except for his, Natalie's,  and the limousine driver.

    Gabriel not only did this, but he also blocked Marinette's number before he got rid of it. This is to make sure she can not text Adrien either since he still disapproves of her.

     "No, how could you?" Adrien yells at his father. He is hurt that his dad would stoop this low to keep him from speaking to Marinette.

      "No, son of mine will contact such low life's again!"  Gabriel says.

"Low life, but she is not like that father!  She cares about me as I do her!"  Adrien yells back at him.

    Gabriel leaves the room and slams the door. He shakes his head in disbelief that Adrien should communicate with that girl behind his back. He is not happy about this. Good grief, he thought his son knew how he felt by now or at least respected his wishes when it came to her.

    Adrien stands there in shock. He can not believe his father did this. His father ruined everything again like he always does for him.  He is so angry he could just spit.  He can not stand it much longer.  How is suppose to let her know he is not upset with her now?

"Plagg, what do I do?  How can I communicate with her now?"  Adrien whines.

"Wow, that is rough, but she can still text you!"  Plagg says.  He does not know he is wrong.

 Marinette smiles, thinks that is odd I have heard from Adrien today. She shrugs her shoulders and sends this.

Marinette's text to Adrien

Hi, cutie!  I have not heard from you today, is everything alright?

An automated response comes back, and her face falls.

"What?" Marinette says in dismay.

Here is the response she gets:

Sorry, the number you are trying to reach can no longer receive a text from you. 

 You have been blocked.

     Marinette thinks, great Mr. Agreste must have done this. She can not believe he would do such a horrid thing. Then, again who is she kidding?   He already kept Adrien from her party and sent that mean note.

  "Oh, no now Adrien and I can not contact each other anymore!" Marinette says.
