Dating
"Are you nervous Romano," Virgil questioned sarcastically from the same spot of the couch he was on over an hour ago. Roman scoffed as he picked up his keys off of the small table in the hallway and pulled a jacket over his shoulders.
"Me? Nervous about a silly date? Never." Roman rubbed his sweaty palms on his dark jeans. Of course he was nervous. He was losing his mind and thought he was going to vomit. "It's a simple outing with someone I know and happen to have feelings towards, no big deal." Virgil snorted and turned to his brother with a smile.
"It's gonna be okay Romano." Roman tried to deny it, but he knew Virgil knew his fear. "You're gonna sweep him off his feet." Roman smirked as he remembered the first time he tried dating a girl. It wasn't bad necessarily, and they're still great friends. But even after two months there just seemed to be no attraction, and she said it made her feel ugly. So, they ended it. But with this boy, dang. There was an attraction.
"Thanks Vee. Do you want me to text you when I get there safety?" Virgil nodded at his brother and internally groaned. "You're such a mom Virgil," Roman teased as he pulled his phone out of his pocket to check his hair one more time.
"I'm not a mom, I just worry."
"Totally a mom."
"Love ya Princey."
"Love you too Emo Nightmare."

Hey look Ma I made it, Roman texted, knowing it would make Virgil's night. He was sitting in the bowling alley parking lot, doing last checks on his hair and outfit. He had to admit, he looked pretty hot. He checked the time and frowned when he realized he was almost 20 minutes early. He hadn't anticipated the car ride would be that short because there was generally traffic. But not today. He sighed and leaned back in his seat, looking around and seeing if he could recognize the small Lexus that he knew his date would be driving. No surprise, it wasn't in the parking lot yet.
Thanks for letting me know Ro. It means a lot.
Roman smirked and plugged his phone back into the AUX chord when his phone buzzed again. He looked at it and smiled when he saw his friend Elliot's number. Clicking a green button, Roman's smile widened. "What's up E?"
"Ah you know, the usual. Heard that you're on a date." Roman mentally cursed Virgil and rolled his eyes.
"About to be. I'm like 10 minutes early."
"Noice. How long have you known this guy?" Roman closed his eyes and imagined his date in his house, at the park with him, in the swimming pool.
"I've never not known him." Elliot muttered something under his breath that vaguely sounded like the word disgusting and Roman laughed. "Why's it disgusting?"
"You're a hopeless romantic...That's what. But anyways, tell him if he breaks your heart I break his pretty face." Roman gasped in mock defense.
"He's not pretty..He's drop dead gorgeous."
"I'm gonna go vomit now. Love ya Ro."
"Love ya too E." Roman hung up the phone and took in a shaky breath. He didn't know what he was doing. What if he lost the friendship he had? He knew that for some people, it worked out. But what if it didn't? Roman looked out the window and scanned the parking lot again, breath hitching as he spotted a silver-blue car pulling into the lot. He picked up his phone again, unlocked it and clicked on Virgil's contact.
I can't do this. I'm scared
Romano, you got this. I can understand your concerns, but you're a truly amazing guy. And I'm sure he feels the same way. Just go in there, be yourself, and kick his butt at bowling ya nerd.
Roman chuckled and felt like he could properly breath again.
Thanks Vee.
Don't mention it
Roman turned off his phone and pulled the keys from the ignition before placing them in his sweater pocket with his phone. He opened his door and stepped out into the cool, summer night air and smiled. He was three cars away. Roman closed his door and locked it before walking towards the other car. Two cars away. The cars engine stopped. Wait, do I look like a creep? I should go get a lane. One car away. But he's right there and I really want to see him. No going back now. He stopped at the trunk of Emile's car and smiled. "Excuse me sir, do you have an appointment?" Emile jumps back and holds his hand over his heart, his eyes smiling.
"Good God Roman. You startled me," he laughs before closing and locking his own car. "But yes, I have an appointment with this really special guy tonight." Roman smirked and walked forward, offering his hand to Emile.
"And who might this lucky guy be?" Emile smiled and walked towards Roman, linking his arm with Romans.
"Oh, no one really. Just my best friend ever...And the most attractive person I know." Roman could feel himself blushing and turned away to hide his stupid smile. "Aw, Ro-Ro. Come on, I wanted to see your amazing smile." Roman giggled and turned to face Emile, taking in his boyfriends amazing looks. His hair was slightly curled and poofy, but his bangs were pulled behind his ears. In the faint glow from the streetlights, Roman could see that Emile's eyes had sparkles and that he was wearing a thin wing of eyeliner(i literally know nothing about makeup guys, i tried).
"Are you wearing makeup," he asked, slightly shocked yet happy at the same time. Emile blushed and looked down at the ground before clearing his throat.
"Y-Yeah..I-I normally do. But I don't do it around the house because I feel like Dad would be upset," he muttered while shrugging his shoulders. Roman slid his hand down Emile's arm and grabbed his hand. Emile giggled lightly and turned to face Roman again.
"I like it. A lot. And I really don't think your Dad would be upset. I think he'd be jealous actually." Emile full on laughed this time and Roman felt is heart soar. He knew this would work, and the night hadn't even begun.
