Expect the unexpected!

This proved to be so true in the current situation when the main mastermind behind the drugs trafficking is finally revealed.

Never, even in my wild dreams, had I thought that this person would be the mastermind.

This can't be true!

But -

"What are you doing in Greece?" I heard him ask my foster wife to which she just shrugged with a smile.

"Came to welcome my adopted husband and his family into my family." Wait, wasn't that my house?

Naturally, we are welcoming her in our house!

"Seems like you never change. The same foolish and silly young girl." He cleared said it with distaste.

Why is he talking as if he doesn't know me?

But! This is so confusing.

"I appreciate your compliment. Meet, Sterculius my adopted husband and my partner." She introduced and he willingly put forward his hand for a shake.

This is ridiculous!

Why is he suddenly behaving like this?

Bewildered at the most bewildering thing happening, I blankly shook his hand wordlessly and concentrated on his reaction.

He showed no signs of any recognition, not to mention he is behaving completely like a strange person.

"Galen Ioannou, Chairman of Ioannou incorporation." Seriously!

Wouldn't I know my own Papa's name? My Papa! My own birth father! MY PA-Freaking-PA

Why the heck is he introducing himself as a stranger? I mean, something is terribly wrong here.

Nope, everything is wrong here.

Why the hell is my own father, my papa, the mastermind behind the whole drug trafficking.

"Wait, last time we met, wasn't your name Elias?" Great, so they met last time some time too?

And what does she mean by saying his name is Elias? His name has been Galen from the start.

But then again, I've been taking a lot of shocks lately, recent one is the biggest blow ever.

"You know how I change it whenever I find something better than the present."

"Of course. So, what is this about you email you sent me?" Cerberus asked getting her professional gear up but I, I couldn't take my eyes of the person sitting in front of me.

The man whom I know for three decades plus is now sitting there as nothing but a stranger.

But then again, I have so many doubts here.

Why is Papa acting as if he doesn't know me?

Why doesn't he know me but knows Ariche? From when?

Let's say there is some trick behind this, then why the hell did Papa himself is helping Cerberus catch the mastermind when he is the very person whom he is looking for?

What the hell is going on?

If the highest level of confusion has a terminology, then it would be an utter understatement in this case.

I opened my mouth to express my enragement in high volume and pitch when my hand was caught in a tight grip by Cerberus. She sneakily winked at me which meant she wants me to shut the hell up and watch.

"You will solve my problem?"

"Yes, I'm quite popular for that. Just tell me what the issue is."

Mastermind Papa hesitated for a moment but started explaining nonetheless.

Wait, so the woman we met the other day is his wife and that man Klaus is his male mistress?

Papa! What the hell are you?

"My wife and my mistress are expressing too much love for me and I'm unable to do anything about it. Both are important to me but they are seriously getting on my nerves." Your wife?

Then who is Mama? Your powerpuff girl?

"Your wife knows about your mistress?" I asked playing my part as I gulped down all the shock.

I want to cry!

"Nope. But with how things are going on, I worry she will find out soon." Cerberus nodded wisely and she started tapping her fingers on the table.

"Do you love your wife?" Cerberus asked and he nodded positively.

"Do you love your mistress too?" He nodded again.

"Then why are you annoyed with expressing their love for you?"

"I'm a busy man with so much on my plate, I care less for their love for me at this moment." Wow! Says the man who said he loves them.

My Papa loves another woman and another man! This is the more stinking than hundred rotten eggs in one basket.

"So, you don't have time for romance." He nodded again confirming Cerberus assumptions.

"Have you ever thought of divorcing your wife?" He nodded then shook then again nodded his head.

In short, he did but ashamed to accept.

"Frankly, I wished to divorce her a few times in the past but then I realized I like her company."

"So, you want her and don't want her too. You love her and doesn't love her too. And the same goes with your mistress as well." He confirmed her assumption with a firm nod.

"Hmm, what kind of a woman is your mistress?" Woman?

Cerberus, Isn't his mistress a man?

Mastermind stranger Papa looked like he was caught red in an illicit act when he started chewing air looking anywhere but us.

At this moment, I don't even want to use my brain to decode all the shit. I'm done with my life.

He cleared his throat several times as if his vocal cords needs a starting kick. "That –"

"Umm – That – You see –" No I don't want to see. Just tell what it is.

If an emotion can be seen as a commodity, then I have a chain of convenience stores inside me at this very moment.

"It's a – It's a he. My mistress is a man and I don't want to hurt either of them." Wow! He told that to Cerberus so openly which means no matter how annoyed he is with her, he trusts her with the info he is providing her.

"That's amazing! Then why are you coming to me when you already have a solution?"

"Huh? Meaning?"

"Meaning, you don't want both of them to get hurt because of you but you cannot bear them as well, then why don't you distract them to each other. Let the two become a couple."

I snickered sardonically.

How she has so many ways to get herself killed!

As if on time, Mastermind stranger Papa shot up from the chair with a loud, clear, intimidating 'WHAT' resonating in the small café.

If I were Cerberus, then I would've been a little scared but we are talking about Ariche Cerberus Gil Ioannou, the constant question mark of the universe.

She dared to just shrug and wait calmly for him to sit down and I wondered time and again where her confidence come from.

"I knew you would suggest nonsense right the moment I saw you. You are the same brainless girl." He started insulting her with a sneer which I did not like a bit.

Dammit! As if the shock of mastermind identity is not enough, I'm shocked to find myself starting to contradict myself with my perception on her.

I am the brainless here!

"You said you are a chairperson to a large incorporation and you cannot even handle an amazing idea. Just think, you love both your wife and mistress; they love you too. You are scared that your wife would find out about your illicit affair but you don't even want to loose either of them. In that case, if your guilt can drive her away, then make her guilty too so both of you can stay together with the guilt, at the same time she will not have her complete attention on you to annoy you. The same goes to your mistress as well." What the heck is she spitting?

"You cheated, she cheats and he cheats; you hide, she hides and he hides. When all the tree are doing the same then why would you want to get away from each other when the arrangement is comfortable?" And therefore, she lost her mind in an attempt to show-off her smarts.

I would've punched the person who would give such a nonsense advice to me but seems like the mastermind Papa is actually thinking about it.

What is wrong with people these days?

"Why are you doing this? How will it help us and his wife-mistress couple?" I whispered in her ear making sure it is as low as humanly possible.

"Mastermind will not be in picture anymore since he will be punished for his acts so why not set the other two up first and take advantage of their alliance to capture the target."

Speechless!

Her words made me speechless!

How far can her thoughts go?

"You are not exactly wrong." He mumbled thoughtfully still mulling over her suggestion.

For a while, he mumbled something to himself and nodded to himself and finally gave himself a firm nod soon turning to us and gave a thoughtful nod.

"This seems to be a balanced neutral ground for all the three." He said sending her an appreciated smile.

Cerberus grinned back providing a thumbs up. Then as if something suddenly clicked inside her head she spoke in excitement.

"Oh yes, I thought you only have a son and a daughter, didn't know you have another son? I saw the news few minutes and your younger son looks handsome."

Tell me what?

My head partially fell off my neck in utter incredulity looking like a professional zombie.

What's absurd is his younger son is right in front of him and he is not giving a dime!

What the heck is happening here?

Somebody, please help me get out of this maze of a life!

Why am I the younger son in question and I don't know I made it to the news with my own father?
