Aegeus Point of View

Convincing my status as a mere beggar to Lucas proved to be a tough task. On one hand I was glad that he was a clever person to see through my pretension while on the other hand I was also bothered by the fact that someone saw through me so easily.

I know he did not believe me. He left me the other night only because he was giving me a leeway but that doesn't mean he believed what I said.

But then, another problem arises from it. If he saw through my pretension, then maybe others can too soon.

My years of effort and struggle will go to drain if I couldn't complete the mission and I then understood that I have to step up my game.

With Ariche Gil, many things changed in my life. While some things got easier, some are pushing me to hell.

But right now, I need to make my way to Denis Martin. He is the key to the whole subject I'm working for. If I could reach him, then more than seventy percent of the hard stuff is done.

Frugal will definitely not take me to Denis anytime soon. I just got a job from him and he still doesn't believe me completely.

If I keep my hopes on Frugal then it would take years to reach Denis.

That leaves me with a unwanted way to take with the help of an unwanted person.

Ariche Gil, Ex-classmate of Denis and an acquaintance.

She is the only person who can connect to him easily and leave the place intact. A person who doesn't need guns and bombs to fight, she only needs her presence.

Then there is another problem here; Ariche Gil herself!

I don't want to do anything with her. She is a person I want to be light years away from.

To people around her, her knowledge is a burden.

Her smile is a calamity.

Her idea is destruction.

Her action is poison.

And she is a magnate that invites trouble to others.

She is a cure I don't want to take. She is a blessing I better pass on. She is a love that I wish is forbidden.

The park in the night is a one peaceful place to behold. No noise, no company with only me and my doggie pals.

A good place to think and strategize.

With a good idea in my mind, I sent a message to Frugal for a meet up. It took me a whole night of convincing myself to sacrifice myself to Ariche for my work to be done.

Approaching that brainless still brainy question mark of a three headed Cerberus human proved to be a better option after weighing all the options the whole night.

By afternoon, I got a reply back from Frugal that he would come by in the night when there's no one around. Immediately, I sent a note to Leonor to not attend me but keep an eye on Frugal's moves.

The night came sooner than later and thankfully counsellor girl did not come to meet me the whole days which means Leonor made sure she is buried in work.

After a very long time, I was able to take a breath of fresh air without any concern. Clearly Ariche Gil makes a very thorough impression on people; whether it is good or bad.

While I was making myself comfortable and having a relaxing time to myself, I heard a hard set of footsteps approach me.

The crushing of the grass beneath the boots ended the relaxing time I was having. Sensing his presence, I instantly got up from the ground and greeted him with a humble bow.

"Master." I greeted bending forward a little in submission.

"You got something for me?" He got to the point directly, presently his usual serious dangerous aura.

"Something happened yesterday and you need to know that, Master." I notified him. Frugal, that bastard, nodded his head for me to continue.

"Ariche girl gathered few people here for a meeting who looked quite important. She gave a speech on eradicating trading of drugs and punishing drug dealers."

"That is her usual disease. That is nothing new for us." He replied back with a sneer.

How much this dangerous and a harmful man must have seen and suffered that he has depths of defeat in his eyes.

What exactly is the history between Cerberus and Frugal and Denis?

"That is not the news, sir. She invited all those government and rich people who are directly or indirectly involved in drugs dealing. She warned them to stop the nonsense and live well or else she will use the evidences she gathered on their illegal activities to end them. But the part of her speech that stood out was when she mentioned your name and name of some Venice. She said he was his ex-classmate and is involved in the biggest chain of trading drugs and also confirmed that she has evidences against him as well."I completed.

I laid the trap and if this goes on perfect then I will be able to kill three birds with one stone.

First, I will be able to reach Denis either by Frugal or Ariche for sure.

Second, a safe path leading to Ariche without carrying Frugal's doubt.

Third bird is myself. With getting involved with Ariche, I am also killing myself with the stone I threw.

I noticed Frugal grinding his teeth as a deep scowl set on his facial features. Several wrinkled folded his face into an ugly structure that even I couldn't bear.

"This girl will never stop f**king our business." Ah, seems like she did something like this before too.

"Will you give a warning, Master?" I asked putting a little of innocence.

"Warning and threatening doesn't work on her." He huffed in anger.

Pulling out a cigar, he lit it and puffed it for a long breathe and I can understand his frustration as a victim myself.

"W- will you kill her?" I fake stuttered with bewilderment positioned on my face.

"That stupid girl is surrounded by negative energy. She seems to be being protected by Devil himself. Killing is more of a punishment to us than her. She always finds some way or the other from sticky situations. Not to mention she has strange ideas popping up every time that restricts others to hurt her. That is why it is quite hard to deal with her; almost impossible. Hell knows what her mother ate when she was in her womb." He went on ranting as he spit out those words in utter despise.

I agree to that. She does have some kind of weird wits to get out of sticky situations.

Her advantage is she is not very smart or completely stupid but she still is very demented. So her case is the first and the only one in the universe that has no solid answers to.

Her state of mind is a universal question mark.

"She wanted to adopt you, didn't she?" And here comes the part that I planned for.

"Thankfully, I got out of it."

Frugal fell into thoughts for a moment and spoke carefully, "Is she still visiting you?" I nodded my head in confirmation.

"That is good then. Try to get on her good books. Try every way you can to get whatever evidences she has." He finally said those words that I was waiting to hear.

Playing my part well, I shook my head in fear and stepped back in horror. While I was only playing my role as a weak and scared beggar, those emotions were absolutely true.

Working and spending time with Ariche means I am sacrificing my sanity and my life for my work.

"You can instead kill me, Master but I cannot bear to see her every day." For the first time in the history of good, bad and evil, I saw a cruel criminal pitying a beggar not for his current predicament but for the worst future he is going to see.

What more is possible for Ariche Gil?

"She must be bluffing, sir. How can a girl like her get her hands on such proofs?"

"When it comes to her, you cannot take risks. I will pay you triple. Go and get those evidences." Frugal ordered with finality.

I didn't know if I should be happy that my plan worked or I should be sad that it actually worked and I have to associate with that mad girl again.

Frugal gave few more instructions and warned deadly not to reveal who he is working for no matter what. There were few more warnings and threats followed.

While he was busy instructing me, his phone vibrated and he pulled it out from his breast pocket.Talking to the person on line for only twenty seconds, he yelled out and ripped a handful of his own air in anger.

Making sure to keep myself away from the mad man, I distanced myself a couple meters while I still had my ear on the conversation.

"Just kill her boss." He said infuriated by whatever he heard. "I cannot bear with her anymore. She came alone so just end her sorry life."

Boss?

Denis?

Who are they planning to kill? What made them so angry?

"I can't believe she did that." He gritted. My eyebrows knitted in confusion and concentration when I heard his words.

Why do I think they are talking about the mad counselor?

"How in the hell can she come to you and ask you directly to travel around the city with her for what? To tell the world not to be a drug dealer like you? Is she even a human? Does she have pig brains?"

She what?

I'm now completely sure whom they are talking about.

Not only can she reach a man like Denis Martin so easily, she even dared to go and ask him to market himself to people for doing bad?

What ill doing bad person will agree to it?

What the heck is that girl made of?

Is she inviting death?

Now I wonder which is worse – being her friend or being her target?
