Usually her father took her on a drive whenever she was happy or sad , and the ride would end in an a beach all the time . If she had something to say to her father then she would say it awhile they walked in the beach . And sometime she never really talked through the whole ride but that didn't diminish the important of those moments. 

                 The ride ended in the beach just like she knew it would and as the father and daughter duo walked in silence she waited for him to speak up first because she couldn't find the courage to do so today .

              " What do you want to know princess ? " he asked after a moment of silence and she wondered what to ask him when there had been million questions in her mind .

              " Your uncle was the one who abandoned me in the orphanage, why ?" She asked her father first .

             " My uncle craved power . He did everything to gain it including abandoning a new born child in an orphanage princess  , Ragini and Siddharth dad Shekar Gadodia was a very powerful businessman in Kolkata .And my uncle believed marrying his children into Shekar family will give him full control of Gadodia industries

             But he saw you as a threat princess , from the moment your mom claimed she was pregnant with you . He didn't see you a innocent baby , he saw you as someone who could hold 50% of Gadodia industries . So he plotted ,manipulated and did his best to make Shekahr Gadodia believe you were not his granddaughter .

         Once they told your mom you were dead ,he abandoned you in an orphanage and tried his best to keep your grandfather from leaning you were his granddaughter and thus keeping  you away from the Gadodia industries till he died. " her father spoke up but Lavanya mind was still reeling from the shock of the said words as she learnt about her father uncle who in his greed took her away from her mom .

             " Princess say something " her father asked when she remained Silent for a long time ,she was thankful that she never met her dad uncle because she hated him at the moment and yet her mind wasnt fixated on his treachery but rather something more significant to her .

             " When did you learn about it " she asked him ,because she needed to know if her uncle actions played a role in her adoption and his answer proved her concerns true .

              " When your mom found out you were alive and I was checking on every orphanage to find you , Laksh mentioned that his father donated a large sum to your orphanage, as you know by now my uncle didn't have a charitable heart .so I asked Laksh uncle to look into it and he found evidence suggested to what I told you " he answered her question

              " Before or after you met me in the orphanage " she asked him as his answer felt really important to her .

             " Before princess. I know what my uncle did was cruel and evil towards you" her father continued speaking but her mind was frozen with the new found realization about her adoption

             " You felt guilty " she whispered making her father stare at her confused .

            " What do you mean Princess ?" her father asked little hesitantly

             " I am not your princess " she lashed back and regretted the words the moment she saw the flash of pain in his face . But she needed to speak up before her silence consumed her .

             " I am not your princess not really , you felt guilty or maybe pity towards the child who was abandoned by your uncle , you had to adopt her because she was the daughter of your wife whom you loved very much . " She spoke up as the dreams she build up about their relationship came crashing down . 

             " Is that what you think .I adopted you because I felt guilty or because I loved your mother " her father asked her and his voice was filled with pain that she wanted to take back the words  .

     
          " Is it not,  I know you love me dad but would you have adopted me if i wasnt your wife daughter.  You might say why should it matter when you love me. It shouldnt i know that, your reasons for adopting me shouldnt matter when i should be thankful for having a father like you. 

          But dad , it was different when i grew up believing you wanted a daughter and you choose me and now I learn your didn't want a daughter ,you had to adopt me because I was your wife daughter and add to that your uncle was the one who abandoned me and you must have felt sorry for me .

 
           I know it shouldn't matter , but all I keep remembering is that you never were really living with my mom when I got adopted, and only came for a visit . The last few days I keep wondering if I was the reason you werent living together back then , I feel like I was foisted upon you dad if that makes any sense .

        I tried for over a week to verbalize what I feel , I can't do it even now .I only knew is that I feel sad that I wasn't your adopted daughter . Does it make sense to you because it doesn't make sense to me  , nothing really changed and yet I feel like everything did " she asked as her voice faltered with each sentence she spoke up .

            And his silence was her answer and she knew she had hurt him by her words . He didn't say a word when she asked to be dropped at Gauri house .Under his silence her heart broke all over .

        What must be going through his mind she wondered the whole night and because she cried the whole night ,her best friend had enough and demanded Lavanya tell her everything and since she was too scared that she irrevocably hurt her father ,she found herself telling her best friend everything .

         "Lavanya , I understand this must be hard on you but if you don't doubt your father love , why do you give importance to his reasons for adopting you . " Gauri asked her ,but lavanya really had no answer to the questions .

            She returned back home the next day  , though she talked to her mom on phone last night she was worried when she returned home. Her mom welcomed her  back with a smile  . She felt relived for a moment until she noticed her sadness and realized she caused it .

               The breakfast was a quiet event where no one talked and she realized her actions had caused a impact . It became evident when her father kissed his wife cheek , ruffled his son hair and walked away from the dining table .

                From the day she for adopted till yesterday , everyday her father would greet her with a good morning and  she would greet him with a kiss to his cheek .  But today his silence only greeted her and at that moment she felt the growing worry she lost him .

           She couldn't survive his coldness , so she approached him when he was going out for work

         " Dad .." She called little hesitantly . He turned around at the sound of her voice .

       " Yes beta " he answered and at those words , she realized she broke his heart more than she imagined all because she couldn't move past a single moment of her life .

            At first she held on to the moment because it made her feel wanted that her dad choose her among all the kids which must mean he really wanted her as his daughters , then when they told her about Yuv she held it little closely as if assuring herself she was special , and when she grew up and begin to understand what adopted daughter means she didnt worry because she had always been made feel secure in her parents love and it made her believe she was special but because she held on to the memory so closely she lost the one person who was the reason for the memory .

       " Nothing dad , " she spoke up and saw him walk away , she knew he must realize how shaken up she was by his words and yet he walked say because she made him walk away..

              The moment she heard the sound of his car , the tears fell and then it turned into sobs that couldn't be controlled , she heard her mom rushing in at the sound of her cry , she found herself embraced in her arms yet the tears won't stop as it streamed down her face .

        " What happened beta ," her mom voice echoed ," Lavanya di " her brother voice sounded from a little distance  ..

          But her mind only knew one fact that he called her beta  .Not once in the ten years had he called her anything than princess . And she no longer felt like the Adopted princess. She felt like someone who lost her father even when she had him .
