Chapter Fifty-One

| Third Person POV |

Exam time rolled around at Yuuei, and everyone was ecstatic to have Midoriya back that day too.

But no one expected the lifeless boy who walked in through the door.

The last weeks were filled with therapy, even which offered no refuge from his own mind. Rarely had he even spoken, an occasional perk tugging at the corner of his lips when he saw someone familiar.

When he walked in, it was eerily silent.

"Hello Deku!" Uraraka chirped, though terrified from his nonchalant nod in response. Aizawa motioned for it to be silent, and rapidly started class to avoid other awkward interactions.

"You all know today are the exams. Everyone go get changed and meet me outside." Everyone immediately piped up on this or that, and crowded around the startled greenete.

He shuddered as words flowed through one ear then the other, and was shaking, but barely noticeably, until Todoroki warded them off and hugged the by softly. Aizawa shooed them all excluding to the duo outside, and soundlessly stared the two down.

"Are you sure your ready to take the exam? You don't have to do this. I can take you home."

Midoriya gave a thumbs up, before his lips attempt the quiver upwards before he gave up and tucked his head into his boyfriends neck, something he discovered as a newfound comfort.

The three then headed down the hallways until reaching the changing room, where they split off.

Midoriya immediately went into the separate bathroom and was out in a flash. He sat by idling as Todoroki changed, possibly taking a few glances at the abs of the latter.

By that point the room was empty, leaving just the two.

When they were ready, he gripped Midoriyas hand and left, grouping into the others as they were escorted outside by Kayama who was gleefully giggling at Mineta, who was taped to the wall.

Everyone was paired up, with one team of three as Midoriya was left to be alone. He sat in the corner of the watching room, examining last one who either failed of passed.

He was slightly infuriated by the fact Todoroki was tied upside down by his dad, but he wouldn't show it. He just bottled it up and threw it into the gulley of his missing soul and carried on.

When it was his turn, it was announced he would be in the false city, fighting an unknown amount of heroes.

Upon entering everything was perfectly still and that only alarmed the poor boy more.

All Might watched from the viewing room, where Recovery Girl was in standby for obvious reasons.

Looking around cautiously he took to the skies, hoping to see a hopeless teacher letting down their guard and walking outdoors, but when he saw Present Mic strolling around as if it was nothing, the trap was obvious.

Upon landing atop a nearby building behind the 'enemy' he studied his victim and the surrounding area and buildings seeing two broken windows, obviously shielding to heroes waiting to pounce.

To win his exam he had twenty minutes to handcuff three teachers. He shot all ten nails to block the windows and using One For All flew down at blinding speeds and tackled Present Mic handcuffing him quickly before flying off nearby tangled in a capture scarf with visible purple hue surrounding it proving that Aizawa and Kayama were there but who knows who else would be waiting.

Present Mic whimpered as he mustered himself upwards and left the arena, shamefully being mocked by a few other standby teachers.

With pinpoint precision he swept down and picked up Kayama while holding his breath. She was screaming terribly loud, and it sparked something inside the boy as he dropped her, holding his eyes and crying with a vengeance.

You could hear the students panicked cries from where they watched, and upon feeling his promise ring necklace bounce on his chest he snapped out of the trance, nose diving downward and scooping the frantic Kayama with ease, handcuffing her whilst doing so.

In an attempt to show his apology he set her laying, as her knees shook too much to stand and her face was plastered still. He kissed her on the forehead, (they have an aunt-nephew relationship,) and took off, leaping upwards and away.

He wiped the tears from his face regaining his stoic posture as he flew. It was useless to search in the sky, as there were most likely not enough teachers to set a trap together.

He began to fly lower in the sky hoping to attract his father to attack him first and give up his location. He knew he was smarter than that, but if he was with someone else he might just take the chance.

Landing on a streetlight he contemplated that the teachers wanted him to come to them, but they needed to stay away from him or else he had the possibility of getting captured.

He needs to find them to win. But, the ground is not his terrain or buildings in general, so the remaining few will be there.

It started off easy, too easy, and now it's hard with fifteen minutes on the clock.

Stalking in the ground with any motion ready to pounce, his knees were bent and ready to fly but he poised up upon entering the building.

It was near pitch black inside, and the only building to be this dark. It was in he shadow of a huge tower, and surrounded by buildings bigger than itself.

Obvious, but not enough to attract to much attention to itself.

There were no doors, and if there were any they were shredded and in pieces on the floor.

A floor board creaked despite him not moving, and be backed himself in a corner—purposely—as to not be sneaked up upon but it was also a dumb decision too, but if his father was to approach him he would surely win.

And, Aizawa knew that too. So he'll wait, he has all the time in the world.

After a minute of waiting he crept forwards and up the stairs, and gazing down the gap between the floors a figure moved stealthy, but not stealthily enough.

He shimmied himself down to gap and holding the bar above him swung forwards kicking the unsuspecting hero into the wall where he was knocked out from the low and handcuffed before Midoriya realized what he had done.

He shuddered and stepped backwards and tipped over and out the window, screaming as he fell down the chasm between the two buildings.

He barely had caught himself before reaching the ground a few feet below, and curled up on the ground shivering and streaming tears as the twenty minute alarm went off.
