Chapter 2/3

One morning, that weekend, (Y/n) paced around their living room, looking for a solution to their new problem, while Kat was sitting on the couch and looking at them.
"There's no way we could get a hold of him!" they held their heads. "Gaaaaah I'm gonna be late!"
"I got this." she casually said as she hopped off the couch.
She went to the kitchen and opened the window, then she leaned back as she took a deep breath.
"Mister Macaque!!! Help~!!!" she shouted so loudly it made (Y/n) flinch.

She then went back to the couch.
"You think that'll work?" they raised an eyebrow.
"I know it will." she sat down again with a smile. "He'll definitely come."
Her nonny was not convinced, they kept thinking.
"Maybe...Maybe if I can contact the Monkey King, I could get a hold of him-"
"Oh please."
The two of them looked over to see Macaque crouching on the window sill. Now, he was acting casual, but when he heard Kat, he ran here at full speed and was filled with relief when he saw that she was okay.
"Wukong would never answer to anyone who isn't his precious protégé." he smirked.

(Y/n) breathed out a sigh of relief, while also baffled that he came so quickly. Kat laughed and rushed towards him.
"Mister Macaque~!"
"Hey there kiddo," he sat, still on the window sill. "either you're not the real Kat and I'm talking to a demon in disguise, or there really is nothing wrong and you pulled a prank on me. Either way, not cool." he shook his head, smiling, playing it casual.
"Macaque!" (Y/n) rushed towards him and leaned closer, so much that he had to lean back. "I really do need your help!"
"Woah there sunshine, back up a little bit." he raised his hands, his eyebrow twitching. "You're gonna make me fall off and I'll disappear again."
"Ah-!" they stepped back, a bit flustered to have gotten ahead of themselves.
They cleared their throat as Macaque finally stepped into the apartment once again.
"I'm late for work and I can't leave Kat alone, and I don't know anyone who could look after her besides you."

He frowned and shifted his stance, a bit uncomfortable. He looked away.
"You're asking this like I don't have anything else to do."
"Do you?"
"Well... Not really." he scratched the back of his head before looking at them. "Still, can't your neighbors do it? One of them has to be free for the day."
"I..." they glanced to the side and spoke more quietly so that their daughter wouldn't hear. "I don't really trust them."
His eyes widen slightly, just these words were enough for him.
"And you...trust me?"
"Well...yeah." they leaned a bit closer, a pleading look on their face. "Please, Macaque?"
Hearing his name coming from them made him pursued his lips. He rolled his eyes with a sigh.

"Fine. But don't think you-"
"Oh thank you so much I swear I'll repay you when I get back, I get back and 7pm, there's some leftovers in the fridge, my number's saved on the phone, call me *immediately* if *anything* happens. Thank you so much. Love you Kat! Okay byeeeee!" they said as they put on their jacket, grabbed their bag, kissed Kat's head and left by the front door, closing it behind them.
It took him a moment to process what just happened.
"...wha-"
"Hold on." Kat raised an index, shutting him up.
He watched as she went up to the window and stood on her tippy-toes to look down the street. (Y/n) walked out of the complex and sent one last look at their apartment. Seeing their daughter, they waved with a small smile, she waved back. They could also see Macaque glancing at them.
'I really hope my guts are right about this guy.' they thought before walking away quickly. 'But it's not just my guts, it's Kat I'm trusting too. And I trust my kid.'
"Aaaaand they're out." Kat turned to Macaque with a determined smile. "Let's get outta here!"

"My my, a rebel." he couldn't help but smirk. "Who would've thought."
"I wanna see Mei and MK and the others." she faced him. "Where are they?"
"We're not exactly besties y'know?"
"Look for them, do the shadow thing!"
He pretended to think for a moment.
"I don't think your nonny would like it if we went out."
She frowned, her cheeks puffed up, and hit him on the stomach.
"Aouchy~!" he acted like it hurt, holding his stomach. "Using violence now? Sheesh."
"Find them!"
"Are you sure you're still just a kid? 'Cause you're acting pretty tyrannical right now."
"...Please?"

"Why are you so adamant on this anyway? Is your good ol' pal Macaque not good enough for you?" he placed a hand on his chest, acting like it hurt, emotionally.
"That's different! You're old-"
'Okay, that actually hurt.'
"-And they're the cool kids!" her eyes wandered, full of stars. "Could you imagine? My first friends being the cool kids!"
'First?'
His expression softened. He sighed through his nose, closing his eyes. His shadow slit into three and each left by a different window.
"Aaaand now we wait, again."
Her face lit up.
"I'll go prepare my bag!" she exclaimed before rushing to her room.

Now alone, Macaque took a moment to walk around and really look at the place. As established before, it was nicely decorated. There was so much personality into this home he could name three of (Y/n)'s interests just by looking. That made him smile unknowingly. He stopped in front of some shelves where a bunch of framed photos were. Most of them were of (Y/n) and Kat, taken in an unfamiliar place which he figured was their old house.
'A giant shadow monster attacked our house...' their words came back to him, along with the look on their face. 'the whole structure eventually fell.'
He clenched his fists, a ball of guilt growing in his stomach. He clicked his tongue and brushed it off.
'There's no way for them to find out. Not like they'd wanna talk about it anyway.' he thought.
He looked at the other pictures, and he noticed that, Kat seemed to only have one parent. There were pictures with who seemed to be her grandpa, and (Y/n) was in some pictures with other adults, but they didn't seem to have a partner. He also didn't see any ring on their finger. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't curious about this family's past, and even present. But he knew he'll never ask. As someone who doesn't like to talk about his own past, asking about others' would just be hypocritical.

"Okay I'm ready!"
He quickly stepped away from the shelves just as Kat came back, now with a pink backpack that seemed full.
"Did you find them yet?"
As if on cue, Macaque's shadows came back to him, along with the kids' location. Coincidentally, they were in the same place.
"Alright, let's go."
He pulled out one of his hair and turned it into a duplicate.
"In case your nonny calls." he explained as he walked towards the front door, along with Kat.
"Have fun~." the duplicate waved.
Although he wouldn't have liked spending all day in an apartment, he knew that, if (Y/n) did call, he'd be the one too talk to them. And he couldn't help but give the original Macaque a smug grin, to which he frowned. Him and Kat walked out into the street.

"They're pretty far away though," he smiled. "so hang on tight, and don't struggle too much."
"Wha-AAAAAAA!" she screamed as he turned into a large bird, grabbed her by her backpack and carried her into the sky.
She kept screaming, but it soon turned into laughter. He glanced down to see a bright smile on her face and stars in her eyes. At some point she yelled out 'Woohoo~!' while throwing her arms in the air, but she almost slip and almost gave Macaque a heart attack. Thankfully she caught the straps.
"I told you to hang on!" he glared at her.
"Sorry!"
Despite this incident, he made sure to do a little detour to make the trip longer.

Finally, the duo arrived at the city's harbour. Kat was a bit confused but then she noticed a houseboat in the distance, its design was familiar to her. There was also music blasting from the inside, and they could see MK by the window, eating snacks and laughing.
"MK~!" Kat ran towards the boat, while Macaque casually walked there.
"Huh? Kat?!" his face lit up and he jumped out to get to her.
"Kat's here?" Mei poked her head out. "Kat's here! Kat~!" she ran and hoped above MK, making him fall. "Uh, Macaque?" she stopped when she noticed him.
"Macaque's here?" MK lifted his face from the ground to look at him.
"Oww, no screaming my name in joy?" he smirked with a raised eyebrow.
"W-wait." MK hoped on his feet again. "Last time we saw you, you were going to look for her nonny. Have you not found them yet? It's been days!"
"Oh I have." he put his hands behind his back and stood tall. "And I've been such a good boy that I've been promoted to babysitter."
"Uh..." the two cool kids looked at each-other.
"Mister Macaque~!" Sandy stepped out and went up to him, patting his shoulders which startled him. "How nice to see you! Come in, come in," he pushed him inside the boat-house. "I'll brew some more tea while the kids keep playing their video games!"
"You're playing video games?" Kat asked.
"I brought my console over yeah!" Mei smiled. "You could be player three if you want."
Her eyebrow furrowed, touched, and she nodded.

Macaque was sitting on a stool by the kitchen counter while Sandy was brewing tea. He looked back at the living room area to see the three kids playing video games and laughing. Seeing her having this much fun, plus with the knowledge that this was probably the first time she ever hung out with other kids, it all made a small smile form on his face.
"So," he quickly turned around when he heard Sandy, who placed a cup of tea in front of him before sitting across from him. "Mister Macaque, how have you been doing since the battle with the Lady Bone Demon?"
"Why do *you* care?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Well it's important to check on your buddies."
"I just learned your name half-an-hour ago."
"Which is the first step to any relationship." he said, his bright smile never leaving his face.
Macaque's frowned, he wanted to drop the conversation entirely. But in the current situation, he almost felt trapped, again.

"Oh y'know, same old thing." he grabbed the cup but didn't drink from it. "Lurking in the shadows, scheming with shady people, looking out for no one but me." he smirked with a 'heh'. "Just Macaque things."
"Mh-hmm I see." he nodded, taking a sip of his own cup. "Kat really seems to like you."
"...A terrible decision really." he looked away.
"Children may be naive sometimes, but they can see things that adults can't."
"Simple childish delusions."
"You know, you keep acting like a bad guy, but it's a little too late for that."
He glanced at him. Unconsciously, he appreciated that he spoke in a quitter tone so that no one else could hear.

"Kat saw who you are deep down, even if it was just a glimpse of it. And now we see it too. There's no need to be afraid of it or to try and hide it from everyone, even yourself."
Macaque rolled his eyes and groaned.
"How many times do I have to tell you people? I am not a hero."
"You don't need to be." he smiled. "Just being a good person is enough."
Macaque frowned and he glanced down to the side. He couldn't quite understand the difference. Sandy sighed, he figured this was something he needed to understand by himself. Just then, Kat gasped loudly and the two men looked over.
"Kitties!!!" she cupped her face in her hands as she watched Sandy's multiple cats come out of their hiding spots.
"Ah yes! They're my therapy cats!"
"Someone with that much therapy cats should not be giving lectures." Macaque mumbled.
"You can play with them if you want." Sandy added.

Kat squealed. Her and Mei began to take a bunch of cat pictures while MK struggled to finish this one level.
"Check this out!" she opened her backpack and turned it upside down.
An avalanche of plushies was dumped on the floor.
"Woah!" MK tossed away his controller and turned towards it. "I recognize these lil guys! From that one claw machine!"
"You got the complete elephant family?!" Mei held the three plushies. "That is sooooo cool!"
"Yeah! My favorite one is the cat!"
"You got the cat?!?!?!" the two teenagers exclaimed.
Kat brandished the plush in the air and they looked at it in awe, as if a holy light was emanating from it.
'That damn cat.' Macaque glared at it.
"It's a true collector item!" Mei took a picture of it. "No one was ever able to get it!"
"That claw machine's super hard to play!" MK exclaimed.
'Tell me about it.' he rolled his eyes.
"How did you manage to get all of them?!"
"I didn't, Mister Macaque did." she pointed at him.

He quickly turned back to his tea before hearing a loud collective 'HUH?!'. Suddenly, MK and Mei were right up in his face, with stars in their eyes. As a reflex, he disappeared into the ground before reappearing by the window, his back pressed against the wall, his tea still in his hand. That little stunt didn't take away from the kids' enthusiasm however.
"Did you really beat the game?!" MK asked.
"'Destroyed' is more like it." he smirked, making small circles with his cup. "Now no one will ever be able to beat my high score."
"That's sooooo cool!" Mei exclaimed. "I wish I could've been there to stream it!"
"Yeah!" Kat added. "Mister Macaque's the coolest!"
That made him chuckle, the flattery getting to him. He drank a few sips of his tea and rubbed the underside of his nose with his index. After that he joined the conversation, in his own way: by saying witty one-liners and showing off. In his corner, Sandy watched and smiled.
'Everyone looks like they're having fun. That's good.'

Macaque swiftly stepped back into the apartment through the window, holding a tired Kat on his back. As he did, his duplicate disappeared. She yawned.
"Oh yeah, playing all day sure is exhausting huh?" he smiled as he put her on the sofa.
"Mmh." she rubbed her eye. "I'm not tired." she mumbled.
He chuckled and looked at the time, they had some time left before (Y/n) came back. Gently, he removed her bag for her and went in her room to empty it out. He came back into the living room, where Kat turned on the tv and was flipping through the channels. He went up to her and handed her her cat plushy. Her face lit up and gladly took it before facing the tv again. Macaque went to sit by the window, so as to have eyes on the street below. Time passed, the sun started to set.
"You wanna watch with me?"
From the sound of it, it seemed she was watching some sort of reality tv.
"Pfff yeah right." he shook his head with a smirk. "No thanks, I like having my brain intact."
"Suit yourself."
While glancing at him, she upped the sound a little bit, which made him look over, just as planned.

'What are they all yelling at each-other for?' he frowned.
There was a lot of swear words that were being exchanged.
'Should I let her watch this?' his eyes narrowed.
He opened his mouth, but before he could say or ask anything, the front door opened.
"I'm back!" (Y/n) stepped in.
Kat quickly flipped the channel to some cartoons.
"Nonny~!" she rushed over to hug them.
While them hugged her back, Macaque stepped down from the window sill. They looked tired, their hair was messier, and they had a bunch documents in their bag now.
'Probably an office job. Poor thing.'
"How was Macaque? Was he nice?"
"He's awesome!" she jumped lightly.
"As always." he casually shrugged.

"I'm glad to hear it." they patted her head. "Now go back to your cartoons, the adults need to talk."
"Okay!" she happily went back to the couch.
They walked up to him.
"Thank you so much for your help today." they smiled. "I know it came out of the blue, I hope it was too much."
"Eh, 't'was alright." he shrugged. "I'd say, even fun."
They let out a small sigh, looking relieved. But then, they looked down.
"I don't want to take advantage of your kindness..." they said, in a quieter voice.
Kindness, *his* kindness. That resonated in his head. He felt that warmth again.
"I tried to get my weekends off today, but my boss refused." they looked at him with puppy dog eyes. "I know this is asking for much but, I can't afford a babysitter. You wouldn't have to look after her on school days, a-and-"
"I'll do it."
"Huh?"
"I'll watch over the kid for ya." he smiled.

"Oh my gosh I...!" they trailed off reaching their hands towards him and shook them a bit, they wanted to grab his face but decided not to at the last minute. "You are a god-sent gift!"
His heart skipped a beat.
"Like I said, we're not really rolling in dough right now, but..." they thought, trying to look for a way of payment.
"...How 'bout this:" he offered his hand. "you simply owe me one favor."
They frowned, they looked at his hand, then back at him.
"Just one." he said, with an innocent-looking expression.
Their cheek dusted with pink, a smile formed on (Y/n)'s face, though it was clear there were trying not to.
"Alright." they shook his hand. "It's a deal."
His smile widen, his tail slowly wagging back and forth. Kat watched in her corner.
'This is a lot better than reality tv shows!'
"Ah, before you leave, I wanna ask..." (Y/n) said. "Did Kat wanted to watch some stupid reality tv show where a lot of people scream nonsense at each-other?"
'They can read minds!!!'

"Uh..."
Macaque glanced at her, she joined her hands together and, still on the couch, got on her knees and mouthed 'Please' a bunch of times.
"Nope." he looked back at her nonny. "We watched cartoons and documentaries, ordered take outs. Good times"
"Okay, I'm glad." their shoulders dropped a little bit. "These kind of shows just melt the brains of people."
"I know right."
They both chuckled as Kat pouted in her corner.
"Here," they reached into their bag and pulled out a box. "I don't know which flavor you like so..."
Frowning slightly, he took and opened it, inside were a bunch of delicious looking pastries.
"I bought them on the way here, I hope it's enough." they scratched the back of their head, smiling.
He gulped, his mouth watering. For a moment, he didn't know how to even react to this. No one has given him a gift before. At least, not in centuries. Finally, he picked up a small chocolate mint cake and placed the box on the table. Unexpected choice...
"You can give me one for each day." he smiled.
(Y/n)'s eyes widen slightly, taken aback by this. He faced Kat.

"Well Kat, I suppose we'll be seeing each-other again soon."
"See you tomorrow Mister Macaque!" she rushed to hug him.
He crouched and hugged her back (without using the hand that was holding the pastry of course), but only so he could whisper in her ear. Which was her goal too.
"Thanks for covering for me." she whispered.
"You owe me one now too kid." he smirked.
Although, if he was being honest, he had no idea what he would have them do for him. But it was still nice to have that in his pocket, who knows what would come up in the future.

And so, every weekend, Macaque would look after Kat while (Y/n) was at work. Most of the time however, they spent their day outside with MK and the gang. Macaque would always stay in the back of the room, always just watching. The kids tried to include him in the fun, but he'd refuse, preferring to share his (totally not) parental experience to the other parental figure. He'd talk with Pigsy about how messy and secretly evil kids were, which he enjoyed the most.
"MK spends way too much time with that Monkey King." Pigsy shook his head. "That guy's just as much of a kid I tell you."
"Oh my god! Yes!" he slammed his hands on the counter.
'Finally! Someone gets it!'
Tang wasn't so bad either. Being interviewed like a celebrity was something Macaque would never say no to. But just as he got more comfortable with those weekly hangouts, Kat came in with the swing. You see, once (Y/n) came back home, them and Macaque would chat for a bit, before he'd receive his payment-pastry and leave. But with each day, those little chat sessions became a bit longer. At one point, Kat asked if he wanted to stay for dinner, but he took that as his cue to leave. When that happened, the little girl snapped her fingers and clicked her tongue.
'Almost got him!'

And as a young child who has made her first friends literally week ago, she finally had people with which to share the tv reality show that was her life. One Saturday, MK and Mei went to hangout at Kat's place, with Macaque chilling in his corner, which became a habit by now. At this point, he knew the appartement very well. Mei, sitting on the floor with Kat, watched as he took a bottle of of juice from the fridge an drank from it as he went back to his corner by the window ((Y/n) said it was okay).
"Y'know," she said once he was out of sight. "I wouldn't have expected him to babysit you for so long Kat."
"Yeah, I gotta say," MK, laid on the couch, added while playing on his phone, hoping to get that 5-star Sun Wukong character. "I thought it was a one-time thing, but it's been like a month now."
"That's because he has a huge crush on nonny." the young girl casually said, not looking up from her plastic tea set.
"Huh?!" the two teenagers stopped what there were doing and looked at her, speechless and thinking that maybe they didn't hear her right.
"And they like him too." she added.
Suddenly, they were right in her face. MK looked beyond shocked, while Mei did her best not to squeal.
"Ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh. Tell me *everything*~!" she whispered harshly.
Kat couldn't help but giggle in excitement for what she was about to say. She gestured them to come closer.

It's been too quiet for too long for Macaque's liking. He leaned over to peek into the living room area and saw the kids whispering to each-other, giggling, so clearly they were planning something.
"Well well well, keeping me out of the fun?" he walked towards them. "What are you kids scheming about now?"
"Nothin'." Kat said as the three of them suddenly leaned back. "Just talking about nonny."
"Ah yes, (Y/n)... How are they by the way?"
She looked up at him as he drank from his bottle, looking away, acting like he didn't care that much about the answer. MK and Mei exchanged a look and contained a chuckle. Now that they knew, this was hilarious.
"They're okay." she smiled and decided to give him what he wanted to hear. "They talk about you sometimes."
He coughed a bit, hiding his mouth with his fist. Though he did look surprised, he was successfully hiding the fact that he was freaking out internally. And because of that, he allows himself to ask some more.
"Oh yeah?" he smirked. "It better be good things."
"Yeah, they say you're very reliable and trusting."
"Heh, those aren't the usual adjectives people use to describe me."
Satisfied, he left. All three children chuckled as he walked away, noticing his tail wavering from left to right.

When (Y/n) learned Macaque had a phone, they didn't hesitate to ask for his number. Though they said it was purely for more easy communication, they were very enthusiastic when they handed him their phone to put his number in. As a joke, he called his contact "The cooler monkey", to which they laughed at. But what no one found out was that they never changed it.
One Friday, they called him, whispering that they were stuck at work for at least an hour more, and they didn't want Kat to wait in front of the school by herself for so long.
"I know this is outside of your working hours," they said. "but..."
"Well, it's not like I signed a contract." he smiled, standing on top of a roof. "Never liked those anyway. I prefer when people owe *me* favors." his smiled turned into a smirked. "And now, you owe me two."
They chuckled.

"Thank you so much. I'll try to finish this as fast as possible."
"You better, or else I'll have to bring Kat back home and I'll eat everything in your fridge."
"With what you've done for me, I'd allow it."
The two of them laughed.
"Speaking of working hours, are personal phone calls allowed where you're working?"
"W-well, um..."
"Ooo~ naughty."
He heard a faint gasp, they probably tried to hide it. He chuckled.
"I won't take more of your time, the sooner you finish, the sooner you leave work and come back."
"Right. Thank you." they said under their breath before hanging up.
He laughed and went on his merry way, to the given location of Kat's school.

He stopped once he saw her. As a force of habit, he stayed in the shadows at first, to observe the scene. And he'd say he was right in doing so. He saw how the others kids were looking at her, some even openly made fun of her, calling her weird. Macaque frowned and was about to step out from his hiding spot, but stopped after only a single step. He thought for a moment, thinking of something "better".
"Beat it brats!" Kat glared at the group of boys mocking her from afar. "Don't you have anything better to do?"
"Don't you have friends?" one of them asked.
"Yes I do! They're the coolest!"
"You're such a liar! Who would wanna be friends with a weirdo like y-"
"Ah! Kat!"
Everyone looked up and gasped when someone came down from the sky, standing on top of a cloud in all his glory was non other than the mighty Monkey King.

"Boy am I glad to find you! There's great darkness ahead, me and the gang need your help ASAP!"
She blinked twice in surprise. Hearing mumbles, she looked around and saw how every kid was looking at her now with either envy or admiration. A large smile formed on her face.
"But I have to ask my nonny if I can go."
"Since when do you ask for permission?" he raised an eyebrow.
The kids gasped. Someone who doesn't ask for their parents' permission? That someone must be the coolest kid around! Her face lit up.
"You're right!" she rushed towards him. "Let's go!"
"That's Kat for ya! Rushing towards danger like it's breakfast! What would we do without you?"
"I dunno!"

He offered his hand and she took it. She hopped on the cloud and wrapped her hands around his waist. Wukong looked at all the people, either starting at him with their jaw dropped, or recording him with their phones. He blew a kiss to the crowd and it boomed with cheers as he and Kat flew away. She looked closely at him for a moment.
"...Why are you disguising yourself?"
Macaque laughed and turned back to his normal appearance.
"I figured Wukong would have the most impact." he looked at her. "(Y/n)'s being held off at work, they asked me to pick you up. They said it'll probably take at least an hour, wanna hang until then?"
She smiled at nodded. Together, they went on a little cloud ride and they stopped for ice cream.

"Here you go." he handed her cone to her.
"Thanks dad." she took it and started eating it.
He was about to eat his own ice scream but then he froze.
"Uh..." he chuckled, feeling awkward now. "Come on now kid, you know I'm not your dad."
"But you act like a dad."
"That's not the same thing. I'm just a guy who's helping you and your nonny out." he paused. "Think of it as a friendly neighbor."
"Plus when you marry nonny, you'll be my dad."
His eyes widen.
"You're skipping a couple of steps there kid."

"Right." she looked at him, her head tilted. "So when are you gonna ask them out?"
His eye twitched.
'Really pushy isn't she?'
"I...That's not-"
"Your ice cream's melting."
"Ah shi- I mean shoot!" he quickly licked the melted ice cream before it touched his hand.
She laughed. Thankfully, the subject was dropped after that. Trust was, if Macaque was to ever ask anyone out, he'd have to be sure they'd say yes. And he was still unsure of (Y/n)'s feelings towards him. He knew they liked him, but he wasn't sure what kind of "like" it was. As he ate, he thought of a solution. He can't just ask them himself.
'But maybe, as someone else...'

Once they were done, Kat gave directions to (Y/n)'s workplace. When they walked out, Macaque turned into the Monkey King again. Kat sent him a confused look and he just winked at her before taking her hand and walking towards them.
"Hey, (Y/n) right?"
"Huh?" they looked over and froze, their eyes wide open. "Wu...Monkey King? Kat? I thought..."
"Oh Macaque ran into a hold-up and asked me to pick up the kid instead." he smiled. "He refused to give me your address so I came here instead."
"Oh, I see..." they nodded, their gaze wandering.
He tilted his head, raising an eyebrow.
"Sorry to disappoint." he said in a joking manner.

"Ah! N-no! Not at all!" they shook their head. "It's just...I was hoping to talk to him."
"Oh really? Talking to *him*?"
"Yes, him." they looked to the side. "I wanted to ask him something."
"Mmh?"
They thought for a moment before leaning closer to him.
"Do you know if he's single or not?"
"...What?"
"You see I... I want to ask him out."
Poof!
The two humans were startled when smoke suddenly emanated from him, (Y/n) looked and gasped covering their mouth and taking a step back. Them an Macaque stared at each-other with big eyes, both of them blushing.
Kat did her very best not to squeal.
