A/N: Okay, everyone! Listen up! This chapter was hard for me to write so it's a little choppy towards the end, and not every good. Stick with me as you read it, I apologize ahead of time, and I hope I don't make you cry. <3

~Time skip to when Rae is in 9th grade~

Over the last year I began to get closer to Faeo, Gwen, and Alex. As I packed my bags, and I got ready from lunch, I started thinking about the past year.

~Flashback~

I watched as Virgil and Roman left to get Aricka ready for her date with Ben. I would have gone but I had thrown up twice this morning so I was in my Pajamas, wrapped in my blanket, with my music playing in my ears. Every once in a while I'd nod off, but I made sure I'd wake up just so I can see Virgil and Roman come home. I must have nodded off because the next time I woke up I found a clod bowl of soup sitting on the table in front of me and the two boys were walking into the living room. "Hey." I said, getting their attention, and instantly they were next to me. "How does she look?" I asked. Roman smiled and pulled out his phone, showing me a picture of Aricka. I smiled at the picture before speaking. "Great job you two, she looks gorgeous." I said. "Thank you." They both replied. I nodded, my eyes slipping closed. I felt on of them put their hand on my head, and someone say "Get some sleep." And I did.

Later that day I woke up and realized that the time Aricka was coming home was soon, so I stood up, almost falling over in the process and stumbled to the door. I opened in just in time to see Aricka and Ben kissing just a little ways away from my house. I groaned before stepping out and sitting down on the steps. Once Ben left, Aricka let out a loud "YES!" I giggled before letting myself be known. "I saw that." I said. She spun around and stared at me. I chuckled, and stood up, but I felt dizzy and almost fell down, thankfully Aricka caught me. "Back to bed!" She said, leading me to the house. "But I wanna ask you about your date!" I whined. "It went well!" She said, as she finally got me into bed after a bunch of struggling. I sighed and curled up in a ball. "Thank you." I said before falling asleep.

~New Flashback~

It was the weekend and I had invited Faeo over to hang out for the rest of Friday and Saturday. She said yes so we walked home since Thomas had work, and Aricka was hanging out with Ben for the rest of the day. We walked in and I announced I was home. "I thought you said your dad was at work." Faeo said. "He is, but that doesn't mean mama is with him." I told her. At the name 'Mama' Logan popped up. "Oh hey Thomas...uh Mr. Sanders yea hi didn't see you there. You about to film a video?" Faeo stuttered. I looked at her in confusion then at Logan who wore a face of shock, and I burst out laughing, and walked over to Logan, leaning against him as a wave of tiredness suddenly kicked in. "Faeo, this is Logan, not Thomas. Aka my mom." I waited for that to sink in, and when it did, it was kinda funny. "Oh, okay. WAIT! THATS LOGAN! THATS YOUR MOM?!" Faeo exclaimed. I nodded, but everything went from SURPRISE to uh-oh in about two seconds. Faeo sat on the couch clutching her head, muttering, "This is a dream, I'm in class and a teacher is going to give me detention for sleeping during class. I've over stressed myself and I've finally gone 'round the bend." She said. I rushed over, ignoring the sudden dizziness. "Faeo, Faeo, look at me." I said, grabbing her hands lightly. She looked up at me. I pointed at Logan and spoke. "He's real. So is Roman, and Patton, and Virgil, and Deceit, even though I haven't seen him yet, he hasn't shown himself yet. I know it's a shock, but they are all real." I told her. She looked at me then Logan then back at me. "You are so luck." She whispered, and I laughed. "It get chaotic being the only girl." She laughed at my comment. After that, Thomas came home with Pizza and Faeo met the rest of my family, and we went to bed by ten because I was tired by that time.

~New Flashback~

(This was really hard to write because I love Aricka) It was summer break and I was bored. I ran downstairs to find Thomas sitting on the couch editing a new video. "Thomas can I invite Aricka, Faeo, Gwen, and Alex over?" Thomas didn't look up when I asked, he just waved me away so I took that as a yes. I will admit, I was a little upset that he hadn't been paying attention, but I was use to it, no one has been paying attention to me lately. I walked back upstairs and grabbed my phone and went to the group chat that had with all of my friends.

Me: Slumber party? My house?

Alex was the first person to respond.

Alex: Sure!

Gwen: Definitely!

Faeo: Why not?

Aricka: Can I bring Ben?

I normally don't get mad at Aricka, but that made me a little upset.

Me: No, Aricka. Girls only, with the exception of Alex.

Aricka: But he's hanging out with me right now.

Me: Aricka, no.

Aricka: :( Fine.

Me: Thank you.

After I sent that and my address along with times, I shut my phone down and decided to take a nap before they came.

Once they all showed up, I made sure snacks were out. I took their things to my room as they got the party started. Everything was fine until I got to the stairs and had to race to the bathroom. I made it to the toilet just in time as my lunch came up. Once I was finished, I flushed the toilet, brushed my teeth, and washed my hands. I quickly walked downstairs and sat next to Alex, and watched as a blush crossed their cheeks, but I just shrugged it off. We ended up staying up till 11:30 before I decided it was time for bed, there was some complaining, but being the mom of the group I got them all into bed, before I went to clean up our mess. I was surprised when Alex came down and helped. I looked at them, silently thanking them. They only nodded to show that they were happy to help. Once clean up was done, Alex and I went upstairs, Alex went to their bed while I went to my bed, collapsing onto it, falling asleep instantly.

~Back to the present~

"-ae." Someone said, getting my attention. I looked up and saw Gwen, Faeo, and Alex all standing in the doorway. "Pardon?" I asked. "You were kinda just standing there. Lost in thought we think." Gwen said, hugging her books closer. I looked down at my note books before quickly putting them away. "I'm sorry. Let's go to lunch." I said, straightening up. Everyone nodded in agreement and we walked down the hall to our lockers, getting our lunches then to the courtyard. Just as the courtyard door came to view, my vision began to get blurry. I continued to walk, shaking it off, but it got worse to the point where I slowed down, and stopped walking completely. "Rae, are you okay?" Gwen asked. I shook my head, bad idea, the blurriness got worse. I stumbled forward, trying to catch myself, I fell into someone's arms, before falling to the ground. The last thing I heard was someone calling my name.

Faeo's POV

Headed to the courtyard for lunch I could tell something was off with Rae. My concern grew when she started slowing down and then stopping completely. "Rae, are you okay?" I barely registered Gwen speaking as Rae stumbled forward. Instinctively I rushed forward catching her. "RAE!?" Fear and panic filled my mind momentarily as Rae began to convulse in my arms. Snapping back to my senses, the First Aid courses I went to for my little cousins epileptic seizure come flooding into my mind. "Give us some space." I tell the others as I made sure I had Rae turned onto her side so her head was to the side, almost facing down, propping her head on my thigh. I knew it was important to keep her air ways open so she wouldn't choke on her own saliva. She began to flail and someone gasped. I didn't look up, just focused at the task in front of me. Very gently I made sure she didn't hurt herself. I knew fully restraining her could cause injury. Keeping my voice calm and soothing I spoke to her. Telling her that she was ok, hoping that my voice would help. "Can one of you go and get the nurse? I think I have it under control but I would feel more comfortable with someone better trained at this than I am." I heard someone reply with a quick "Yea," before running off. I kept my eyes on Rae making sure she was alright. After a few moments she seemed to come back into herself and look around. "There's our Rae of Sunshine!" I say with a smile. At that moment the nurse came around the corner with the nurse close behind. "What happened?" Rae asked. "You had a seizure."

Rae's POV

"You had a seizure." Faeo said. I stared at her before rolling off of her, bringing myself to my knees and throwing up. I whimpered as I coughed. "There's an ambulance waiting outside." The nurse said. I nodded, feeling a little ashamed and slowly stood up. As I stood I stumbled back, I closed my eyes ready to hit the ground, but when I didn't I opened my eyes and saw Alex holding me up. "Thank you." I whispered and tried to push myself up, suddenly I was lifted into the air and carried bridal style. "Woah!" I said, wrapping my hands around the persons neck. I looked at the persons face, it was Alex again. I sighed, feeling tired and laid my head against them. Gwen and Faeo followed behind Alex as they carried me to the ambulance. I was placed on the bed and I was slowly falling asleep. Before I fell asleep fully, all my friends came in and wished me luck. "Thank you." I whispered again, and fell asleep fully.

When I woke up again I was being transferred to a hospital bed, and a doctor was following behind the bed. "Hook her up to an IV." The doctor told the nurses and he brought the head of the bed up a little. Once I was situated, the doctor spoke. "Is there anyone you'd like us to call?" He asked. I nodded. "My dad, Thomas Sanders." I said, then gave him Thomas' number. Once the nurse called my dad, the doctor started asking me questions. "Is it okay if we run some tests and do an MRI?" He asked. I was a little scared, but I knew there was something wrong so I just nodded. The doctor set to work, giving me the tests and doing the MRI. Once the MRI was done, I was taken back to my room, just as I was being put onto the bed, Thomas and the sides came rushing in. My first instinct was to glare at them, and I did, but it wasn't noticeable. The nurses left, and Patton rushed forward. "Are you okay? What happened?" He asked. "Patton, I'm fine. I passed out and apparently had a seizure." I answered. The room was suddenly filled with tension. But it was quickly broken by the doctor coming in. "You all may want to sit down." He said, and everyone followed his instruction, Roman tried to sit next to me and sit me on his lap but I flinched away from him. He frowns a little before just sitting on the bed next to me.

"We ran some test and took an MRI of your daughter. We hate delivering this type of news, but Rae has Grade two brain cancer." He said. Tears filled my eyes as I looked up. "Will it grow?" I asked. "It is less unlikely to grow, but it can come back after treatment." The doctor explained. I nodded, looking down. "W-what are the treatments?" Thomas asked, his voice cracking. "We can do Chemotherapy or we can do surgery and remove it." He answered. I looked up, and watched Thomas open his mouth, but I beat him. "Chemo. I will do the chemo. I am not having surgery done on my brain." I said, giving Thomas a hard look, and he looked down, so he was not looking me in the eye. "Okay, we'll start you on it right away." The doctor said before leaving the room. It was quiet until Logan decided to talk. "Rae, why don't you want to do surgery? It'll possibly allow you to heal faster." He said. "Because. Logan. I don't want a bunch of doctors prodding around in my head, trying to remove a thing in my head, and something go wrong." I said, staring at the ground. "Rae-" Virgil started before I interrupted him. "No! I am not doing the surgery! If chemo allows me to be walking around and going to school, I'll take that chance. I am NOT going to be laid up in the hospital for days on end because I decided to have surgery! Why do you even care anyway? None of you have paid any attention to me in last few months, why do you care?! You left me for the weekend with no heads up, I was left alone crying, and home alone because Aricka was busy again! " I exclaimed, looking them all in the eye as tears finally streamed down my face. I looked at their shocked faces before what I said finally caught up with me. I gasped and my hands flew to cover my mouth. "I'm sorry. I am so so sorry." I sobbed. Suddenly Thomas leaped up and wrapped his arms around me. "Hey, it's okay. You have no reason to be sorry, we should be. We didn't mean for you to feel like we didn't care. We missed your birthday last year, so we've spent the last few months trying to find you a gift. And we had to go to a few hours away to get it, we should have told you." He said as he held me. Soon everyone else was hugging me. "We love you, Rae, never forget that." Patton said, and I nodded my head rapidly letting him know I understood.

We stayed like that until the doctor came, he handed my a pill form of chemo that would allow me to go home. Thomas took the pills while the doctor told me the instructions and that he wanted to see me in two months. Once we were able to go home, Roman carried me to the car, then later put my in my bed when we got home. Before he could leave my room, I told him I wanted cuddles so he called everyone up, and we all fell asleep on my bed.
