Third Person

Willow woke up before the rogue wolf that had been looking after her. Being the inquisitive pup that she is, she leaves the cave to explore the area. Eric felt her leave his side and opened his eyes. Going to the cave entrance he sees the pup playing with a lizard.  Sighing he looks up to the sky to see it was about eight thirty in the morning. He knew they'd have to move soon if they wanted to reach the village before sunset.

He lets out a bark to get the pup's attention and it does. Willow looks over with a now dead lizard in her mouth. She trots over happily wagging her tail and drops the lizard down in front of him. Sighing he pats her on the head with his paw before setting off in the direction they were heading yesterday.

Willow being the opponent pup she was raised to be, follows him. The terrain was smoother then yesterday, so Eric didn't have to carry her. At least not for now, unless she grew tired before they reached rougher terrain. Hopefully she'll be fine until lunch.

But of course she wasn't and was soon sitting on her butt whining in protest an hour later. She didn't understand where they were going or why she had to walk on her own. She used to Lilly or Molly carrying her, because it made her feel safe. Right now being so far from home with a strange, she needed that comfort.

Eric sighed in annoyance and picked her up placing her on his back. Before continue his journey to where he wanted to be before they stopped for lunch. He knew the pup couldn't go a long time without eating like he an adult can. He still doesn't understand why he wants to care for the pup. Maybe because she reminds him of his late sister.

Meanwhile else where in the no mans land Lilly wakes up. She could see it was past nine in the morning. Which annoyed her, she was hoping to be up earlier. But she stretched and picked up the rogue's scent again. Before taking off to continue her search for her lost pup.

(Lunch time)

Eric reached a clearing full of flowers and placed Willow down. She starts to roll in the flowers yipping happily. The wolf rolls his eyes and goes to hunt. The pup tried to follow but he growled. She lays down whimpering and he leaves. He returned twenty minutes later with a couple of hares. To see the pup napping in the shade of a tree.

He wakes her and they ate both the hares. Before going to a nearby stream and have a drink. Eric then picks her up by the scruff and continues their journey. He knew they'd reach rough terrain and she wouldn't be able to climb it alone.

Else were Lilly had found a fawn carcass and could smell the rogue's scent on it. Along with Willow's. She eats some of it as she was starving and then found a pond. Where she took a much needed drink of water. Before continuing her search for Willow.

(Waterfall) Eric's POV

This pup will be the death of me I swear. I finally reach our destination and put her down. Then have her follow me around the edge of the lake. The pup follows me jumping in the water splashing me. I give her annoyed look, but she just gives me innocent puppy eyes. I roll my eyes huffing as I shake my fur dry.

We reach the waterfall and I lead the way behind it on the slippery rocks. I hear the pup yip in shock as she loses her footing. I grab her by the scruff and place her on my back again. Before walking over to the boulder and tap it three times. It rolls to reveal a secret staircase and I start to climb done it.

When I reach the end I see it, my village of rogues. I grab the pup from my back and start to head down into the village. In my head my fellow rogues were welcoming me home and asking who I'd brought smelling the pup's scent.

(Waterfall lake) Lilly's POV

After running all day following the rogue's scent I reach beautiful lake with a waterfall. But they scents and tracks suddenly disappeared on the rocks. No! Dammit! I growl and begin to search the area. I searched until the sun began to set and decide to find a safe place to sleep. I'd start again tomorrow, they couldn't of disappeared into thin air.
