Eric's POV

I can't believe I'm bringing this pup back to the village I grumble in my head. But I feel connected to this pup somehow. I hear the pup yawning and new she'd need to sleep. Sighing I look for a safe place for us to sleep tonight. I maybe what everyone calls the rogue king, but this pup is defenseless. So we can't sleep out in the open. Otherwise I risk my enemies find us and they could go for her.

Ah perfect I think when I find a cave. Taking a deep breath I small nothing else inside and that nothing else had been here in awhile. So I enter and place the pup down. She shakes her head yawning and looks up at me as her stomach rumbles. Sighing I go to leave and she whines. I turn to see her giving me pleading eyes not to leave her. Man if my rogues saw me now I thought as I walk back over to her.

Leaning down I lick her forehead to ensure her I wouldn't abandon her like her pack did. When she falls asleep I leave the cave to find her something to drink and eat. I managed to kill an abandoned deer fawn I slung it over my back. Then found something to put some water in and filled it. I then carried both things back to the cave after I had a drink.

The pup was right where I left her sleeping. I place the makeshift bowl down and get the fawn off of my back. Before waking her and nudging her towards them both. We both ate the fawn in silence. Once she had her fill she drank the water while I got rid of the lift overs.

When I returned to the cave I laid down near the back  of the cave. I feel something lay beside me and turn my head. To see the pup laying behind me so that we're back to back. But honestly I don't care anymore. We both fall into peaceful sleeps.

(Somewhere else in no mans land) Lilly's POV

I'd been following the rogues trail for ages now and I still haven't caught up. I've caught a few hares on the journey and have drunk water. But it's to dark now to follow the rogues tracks. So I decide to find a safe place to sleep. I find a large hollow log and crawl inside before turning to face the entrance. I start to think about when I first meet Willow, back when I had a mate. Willow's parents had been allowed to join the pack because of our late Luna. May she rest in peace. I was a nurse and helped the midwife bring Willow into the world. I watched how her parents held her in their arms and looked at her with so much love in their eyes. But the day Willow was born, was the day my mate and Luna died.

The alpha drove her parents away from the pack. Willow's mum made me promise to look after her and raise her as my own. I've been looking after ever since. If it weren't for me the Alpha would of kicked her out long ago. But now that she can shift, I can't protect her there anymore.

But I'll be damned if I let any rogue hurt her. I will find her and find us a new home. Where we can be happy and safe. Who knows maybe I'll find my second chance mate and we could all be a proper family. I look up at the night sky at the brightest star promising to find Willow as soon as possible. Before that rogue or any other can hurt her. I curl up and fall into a restless sleep.

(Blood Moon Pack House) Third person

"You asked to see me Alpha" Molly says as she sat in a chair in front of her alpha. While the Beta stood guard at the door.

"Yes I did" he says. "As you may know Lilly has gone rogue, so you're in charge of the orphanage. Do not make the same mistake she did" he tells her.

"Of course alpha, now I must return to the children" Molly says standing up. She shakes his hand before leaving the room.

"Keep an eye on her, I won't allow any other pack members go rogue. Also training increases tomorrow" he states.

"Of course, but may I ask why you're increasing training?" the beta asks him.

"We may have to go to war, but we must protect the pack from the rogue threat. If the Rogue King has interest in our pack, there maybe an ugly fight coming our way. And we must be prepared for it" the alpha explains.

"Of course Alpha" the beta says bowing his head. Before leaving to get things in motion. While the alpha looks at a picture of his dead mate. Promising he'd end all rogues lives for what they did to her.
