Chapter 21: Relationship Questions
(A/N...Hey, sorry for all the super slow edits...and I'm sorry that this chapter probably sucks really bad..but yeah, here ya go)
"Hey, pretty girl."
Sarah whirled around, seeing Jordan standing behind her, his hands on the back of her chair. "Oh..um..hi..."
"So, it's been two weeks...did you make a decision?"
"What?" She asked, feeling all the air leave her lungs.
Jordan leaned a bit closer to her, moving his hand to the desk, crouching down a bit so he could get closer to Sarah. "You don't remember that little talk we had? About us being a thing...y'know? As in a couple?"
"Oh...that, right." Sarah said, beginning to be a bit uncomfortable as he moved closer to her. She began to feel panicked, her breathing becoming ragged.
"Hey, sweetie, you got an answer?" Jordan asked, putting two fingers under her chin, tilting it up a bit so they could look at each other. "I don't have all day."
"I...I don't know, Jordan! I don't know!" She exclaimed, turning away, feeling tears stinging her eyes. She felt an arm around her shoulder, and it began to calm her a bit. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay, beautiful, don't worry...just let me know so I'll know if you hate my guts or not."
"I don't hate you!" Sarah exclaimed, turning in her seat to face him. "I...I wanna be your girlfriend."
Jordan smiled, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I'm really happy to hear that, Sarah, wanna go out tonight?"
"Oh...um...I'm actually having family game night, I can't." Sarah said. "You can come if you'd like."
"I'll pass."
"Oh...okay? See you tomorrow, Jordan." She said, grabbing her backpack, but Jordan grabbed her arm, keeping her there. "Yeah?"
"Date tomorrow? If you're busy I'm gonna be upset, I need to see my girlfriend at some point." He said.
"I'm not busy." Sarah said, pulling her arm out of his grasp. "I gotta-"
"I love you."
"What did you just say to me?"
Jordan smiled, standing up next to her. "I said that I loved you."
Sarah blushed, her heartrate speeding up. "Wow! I love you too, Jordan!" She put her arms around his neck, the two of them kissing each other.
"I didn't know you had that in you, Sarah." Jordan laughed as they pulled away from each other, his hands on her waist.
"It was my first kiss." Sarah said, blushing even more.
"I was your first kiss?" Jordan asked, smiling a bit more as she nodded vigorously, smiling back at him. "Did you like it?"
"I loved it! It...it felt so good!" Sarah exclaimed.
"That was just a small kiss, wait till our kisses get heated." Jordan said, winking at her, smirking. "Pro tip, the librarian leaves early so the library is super quiet and muffles sound well."
"For what?" Sarah asked.
"Oh you really are new at this, aren't you?" Jordan laughed, kissing Sarah again, holding her close.
"Mr. Chastain!" A teacher called down the hallway.
Jordan quickly backed away from Sarah, smiling still. "I love you, now get going before you get in trouble with me."
"I love you too, Jordan." She said, giving him another quick kiss before running out of the backdoor of the school. She leaned against the building, trying to catch her breath. She had a boyfriend, they had kissed, she had someone that loved her.
"SARAH!" Karamo shouted across the parking lot. "ARE YOU COMING!?"
She nodded, running to hug him. "Guess what?"
"What?"
"I have a boyfriend!"
"When did this happen, miss?"
"Just now...we might've kissed."
"That was fast...um...okay...who is this?"
"Jordan."
"Jordan Chastain? The kid who keeps texting you?"
"You went through my phone!?"
"I can see notifications still."
"Fair point."
Karamo sighed, opening the car door for Sarah. "As long as he treats you right."
"He does!" Sarah exclaimed, her cheeks still flushed, she actually had someone that would love her...hopefully for forever.
"There's my baby girl!" Antoni exclaimed, picking Sarah up as he hugged her.
"You look warm, do you have a fever?" Bobby asked, feeling her forehead.
"No, but I have a boyfriend now!" Sarah said, grinning as she bounced up and down.
"Not another one with a boyfriend." Jonathan groaned.
"Shut up, Jonny, she's got a boy!" Tan exclaimed.
Sarah shook her head. "Do you all just need to hear me talk about my relationships? You do the same thing with Mitch!"
"Speaking of which, where is he?" Karamo asked.
"He's out with Spencer, they'll be here for game night." Jonathan said in a monotone. "Where's Cara?"
"Don't tell me you lost the baby." Antoni groaned.
"I'll check her room because that's the logical thing to do." Bobby said. "C'mon, Tanny."
"Right behind you." Tan replied, walking towards Cara's room, slipping inside with his friend and co-parent.
Cara's head shot up as she looked away from playing with her barbies. "Daddy! Dad! Hi!!"
Tan smiled, picking her up. "Hello, my love, how are you?"
"Good! How awre you?" She asked, leaning over towards Bobby so he could hold her also.
"We're good too, princess, did you hear that Sarah got a boyfriend?" Bobby said.
"Wike Mitchy?"
"Like Mitchy, yeah."
"But...Mitchy's a boy wight?" Cara said, pouting a little as she spoke. "Sawah's a giwrl...but dey have boyfwiends?"
Tan and Bobby looked at each other. "Time for the talk." Bobby said.
"She's five!" Tan exclaimed.
"Not that talk, the other one." He replied, setting Cara down on her bed. "Time to have a talk, kiddo."
Cara looked at the two men in front of her, waiting for them to talk.
"Caz, there are a lot of couples that are a boy and a girl, like Sarah and her boyfriend." Bobby said. "There are also relationships where a boy and another boy like each other."
"Wike Mitchy and Spencewr?" Cara asked.
"Like Mitch and Spencer." Tan chimed in. "There are also relationships where a girl and a girl love each other."
"Oh...so I can wike boys and giwrls?" Cara asked.
"Yeah!" Both men exclaimed. "Whoever you want to date, princess."
"Yay! Fanks, Dad an Daddy!" She exclaimed, throwing her arms around their necks, hugging both of them. "When Mitchy gonna get hewre?"
"Don't know yet, sweetie, he should be back soon." Bobby said. "How 'bout we go see what Antoni's doing? Do you wanna see Papa?"
Cara nodded, slipping out of Bobby's hold to run into the kitchen.
"Babe! Get down here!" Spencer called from downstairs. "We gotta get to your house!"
"I am aware of that!" Mitchell shouted back, then screamed.
"MITCH!" Spencer yelled, running up the stairs, barging into his own room where his boyfriend was. He saw Mitchell sitting on the bathroom floor, a towel over his head, small sobs coming from him. "Baby, what happened? Are you okay?"
"Y-yeah...I'm just u-ugly."
"No you're not."
Mitchell ripped the towel off his head, pointing to where he had clearly gotten mascara all over his eyelid. "I'm hideous, I can't even use some damn mascara."
Spencer pulled his boyfriend onto his lap, rubbing Mitchell's sides gently. "Baby, you don't need to be the hottest guy in the world, I love you...I'll always love you no matter what! You're beautiful to be, baby."
"You think I'm beautiful?" Mitchell asked, wiping his eyes, seeing his boyfriend nod. "D-do you know how to do makeup?"
"No...but my stepmom does! I'll be right back!" Spencer exclaimed, standing up quickly, forgetting that Mitchell was on his lap.
"BABE!" Mitchell laughed, running after his boyfriend. "Slow down!"
"Oh right, almost forgot you." The other boy said, kissing Mitchell gently, holding both his hands. "Let's go find my stepmom and she can fix your makeup."
Mitchell nodded, allowing his boyfriend to yank him down the hallway, slipping on the hardwood floors since he was wearing socks.
"JODIE!" Spencer exclaimed as he and Mitchell raced outside.
"Hey! What's up?" Jodie asked.
"Can you help Mitch with his makeup?"
"Of course I can! What do you want me to do exactly? I can even make you look like a drag queen if you want." She said, leading the boys back inside.
"Just something light...maybe some mascara and a little bit of eyeliner?" Mitchell said, looking up at his boyfriend.
"You'll look beautiful whatever style you choose." Spencer said, kissing Mitchell's forehead.
"Thanks, baby." The other boy said, turning back to Jodie so she could do his makeup.
"Okay, hold still, Mitchell, also Spencer, I know you're a chatterbox but try not to distract him so I don't stab him in the eye with mascara, okay?"
"I already did that to myself." Mitchell laughed.
"He's gonna be okay...right, Jodie?" Spencer asked worriedly as she began putting dots of foundation on Mitchell's face.
"Spencer, this isn't surgery, he's gonna be fine." She replied. "This'll take five minutes, okay? You could do the laundry while you wait."
"I love you, babe." Mitchell called, as his boyfriend began to leave the room.
"I love you too."
"Baaaaaaaabe!" Mitchell exclaimed, wrapping his arms around Spencer, scaring him a little.
"That was quick!" Spencer said, turning around to see his boyfriend. "Woah, baby, you look amazing!"
"It's just some eyeshadow and some mascara...but yeah it looks pretty good!" Mitchell said.
"Okay, we have to leave now." Spencer said, grabbing the other boy's hand, running outside. "Wait...who's driving?"
"Me, remember?" Jodie said, holding up her car keys. "Everyone in...and don't tell anyone about me speeding."
"I'll get it!" Bobby exclaimed as the doorbell rang.
"Nooo I get it!" Cara shrieked, racing to the door before anyone could stop her. "SPENCEWR! MITCHY!"
"Hey, Cara!" Spencer said, picking the little girl up. "Hey, guys...and Sarah!"
"Oh hey!" Sarah said, waving. "How was your date?"
"It was great." Mitchell said, holding onto his boyfriend's arm, kissing the top of his little sister's head. "How were the extra school classes?"
"They were fine." Sarah said, blushing a little.
"She's blushing!" Spencer exclaimed, sitting down next to her. "Spill it, we need to hear this, and we need details!"
Sarah rolled her eyes, turning to face the two boys. "I have a boyfriend."
"WHAT!? NO WAY!" They both exclaimed.
"Yes way...we kissed!"
"Today!?" Mitchell exclaimed.
"Yep!"
"Babe, when did we first kiss?" Spencer asked.
"When I broke my ankle...you forgot that?" Mitchell replied.
"Anyway," Spencer said, coughing. "Who's the lucky guy?"
"Jordan."
"Oh...Chastain?" Mitchell asked, his smile fading as he looked over at his boyfriend.
"Yeah...what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I'm super happy for you!" Spencer replied. "Anyway, so what're we doing for game night?"
"We got a couple things..but Jonny and Cara insisted on playing Twister." Tan said, getting the large plastic mat out of its box.
"I help!" Cara exclaimed, grabbing the side of the mat, yanking on it.
"Princess, you're supposed to grab the sides." Antoni said, trying to show Cara what she was doing wrong. She shook her head, crawling under the mat, giggling softly.
Tan smiled, dropping the plastic sheet on top of her head. Cara squealed happily, trying to get out from under the mat.
"Stop acting like idiots! That's gonna make her hair all frizzy or she's gonna get stepped on." Jonathan said, pulling Cara close to him, running his fingers through her hair gently, trying to smooth it a little.
"Okay so who's going first?" Antoni asked, as everyone looked at each other, shrugging.
"I've got this." Sarah said. "Karamo, Spencer, Cara, Bobby."
"Why can't I play with Mitch?" Spencer asked, pointing at his boyfriend who looked just as confused.
"Cause I picked you four." She replied.
"But it would make sense for me and Mitch to be together."
"You both are already tangled up together all the time." Sarah sassed.
"OH NO SHE DIDN'T!" Karamo and Jonathan exclaimed.
Mitchell hid his face in his hands, blushing a ton. Spencer smiled, rolling his eyes. "Well played, Sarah, well played."
"Nuf tawkin!" Cara exclaimed. "Can we pway now?"
"Sure, sweetie." Karamo said, taking her hand. "Quick PSA, the munchkin is on my team."
"I totally forgot about teams." Sarah said. "Eh, we'll deal with it later."
"It's Twister, it's not that complicated." Spencer said, cracking his knuckles. "Bobby, we have to beat them."
"Okay." Bobby said. "Fingers crossed Karamo doesn't throw his back out cause he's old."
"I'm not old! I'm more mature." Karamo replied.
"Can you three shut up so ya'll can actually play?" Jonathan said.
"Yeah!" Cara exclaimed.
After a few minutes, Cara was being squished by Karamo, Spencer looked like his legs had been broken, and Bobby had fallen in the first thirty seconds of the game. "Help! I squish!" Cara exclaimed.
"You're okay, sweetie!" Antoni said, looking over at Sarah, "she's gonna be a pancake..a munchkin pancake."
"Spencer looks like he's about to break a bone, so he'll fall and then K and Caz will win and we're good." Sarah replied.
Karamo fell over, but on top of Cara. She screamed and started crying, Spencer having to scoop her up and hold her, "babe, can we go outside real quick so she can calm down?"
Mitchell nodded, going outside with Spencer while everyone else picked out a different game, one that would include no injuries.
"Caz, are you okay?" Mitchell asked, holding his sister close. She nodded, clinging to him.
"Y-yeah..scawy.."
"I know, honey." Spencer replied, rubbing her back gently, "babe, why did you get upset earlier?"
"When was I upset?" Mitchell asked.
"When Sarah said she's dating Chastain, you seemed upset, was everything ok-"
"No! He called me a faggot and a bunch of other shit! He made fun of us, babe..he made fun of us cause we're together!" Mitchell exclaimed, forgetting that he was holding Cara for a few seconds.
"Baby," Spencer whispered, pulling his boyfriend closer. "I'm so sorry..he's said shit like that to me too, I'm so sorry."
"Was a f-faggot?" Cara asked, "why wewre you called one, Mitchy?"
"Cause I'm gay, honey, it's a bad word for a gay guy." Mitchell said, "dont repeat it."
"Why'd you get called dat if it mean?"
"Cause some people don't like it when two guys or two girls are in a relationship..they think only girls and boys should date each other." Spencer explained.
"Dat not faiwr!" Cara exclaimed. "Spencwr, you wuv Mitchy, Mitchy you wuv Spencwr..why don't other people like dat?"
Spencer smiled a little, wrapping his arms around Mitchell, "we've taught her well, babe."
"I dont know, but fuck those people, cause we love each other." Mitchell said.
"Fuck dem!" Cara exclaimed loudly.
"Oh shit.." Spencer and Mitchell muttered.
Antoni and Sarah rushed outside, looking at Cara, "we thought we heard-"
"Fuck dem!" Cara exclaimed
"Did she just say fuck?" Sarah asked. "What have you two been teaching her?"
Cara rushed over to Antoni, grabbing his leg. "Dere was a meanie who called Mitchy a faggot! Dat a vewy bad word..and don't wike him and Spencwr dating..but fuck dem cause dey wuv each ofer!"
Antoni smiled, picking the little girl up. "Good lesson, guys, just dont teach another five year old to say the f word, okay?"
"Okay, but you say it all the time, Ant." Mitchell said, as everyone went back inside to finish up their hang out time with hopefully no more incidents.
