Tony at three am decided to research Ava, Danny, Luke, and Sam because he realized he had not run a background check on any of them when they arrived at the tower. Tony knew Fury trusted the teens, but even that didn't help. After the whole S.H.I.E.L.D is HYDRA incident Tony preferred to rely on his instincts. 

Tony's instincts told him that the teens were trustable, but they were hiding something which led to the three am background checks. 

"Hey F.R.I. can you run a background check on Peter's friends?" 

"RIGHT AWAY BOSS," FRIDAY replied. 

F.R.I.D.A.Y had results a few minutes later. Funnily though she could only get to Danny's public file but he had a S.H.I.E.L.D. file. Ava, Luke, and Sam on the other hand didn't have a public file only a heavily encrypted S.H.I.E.L.D. file and a school file that was also encrypted. 

"BOSS I WASN'T ABLE TO FIND FILES THAT WEREN'T ENCRYPTED FOR AVA AYALA, LUCK CAGE, AND SAM ALEXANDER. I DID HOWEVER FIND A FILE FOR DANNY RAND," F.R.I.D.A.Y alerted a dozing Tony. 

"Whatcha got baby girl?" Tony asked. 

"DANNY RAND IS THE CEO OF RAND INDUSTRIES AT 17 YEARS OLD." 

"How many billionaire friends does Peter have?" Tony wondered, "Can you decrypt the files for the other three?" 

"I'VE DECRYPTED THE SCHOOL FILE, BUT SOMEONE DOESN'T WANT THE S.H.I.E.L.D FILE TO BE SEEN." 

"What does the school file say?" 

"MOSTLY JUST GRADES BUT A FEW MENTIONS TO IRON FIST, WHITE TIGER, NOVA, SPIDER-MAN, AND POWER MAN." 

"So I was right. Peter and friends know the illusive vigilantes." 

"BOSS, PETER SEEMS TO BE INJURED...NEVER MIND NO INJURIES DETECTED."

"F.R.I. you okay, baby?" 

"IT SEEMS THAT MY SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN HACKED." 

"By who?" Tony asked concerned. 

"I DO NOT KNOW, SIR. THEIR FIREWALLS ARE HARD TO HACK. THE SOFTWARE LOOKS TO BE S.H.I.E.L.D TECH THOUGH." 

"Why is S.H.I.E.L.D. hacking my systems?" Tony wondered to himself. 

"S.H.I.E.L.D IS NOT HACKING YOUR SYSTEMS, SIR. I HAVE TRACED THE ADDRESS TO SOMEONE INSIDE THE TOWER. MAY I SUGGEST YOU CHECK THE TEENS' ROOMS?" 

"That may be a good idea," Tony muttered to himself. 

Tony didn't fully trust the teens that were brought into his home by Fury. Especially since one of them was the CEO of a multimillion company. With that in mind, Tony speed walked to the floor he had given Peter and his friends. 

Tony found Ava on a computer typing furiously. Nothing out of the normal for her. Luke was looking concerned but was watching the living room TV. Sam and Peter were playing a game on Peter's TV. Danny was meditating. Nothing seemed out of the normal. 

"While I'm here," Tony started. The teens didn't startle just looked up from whatever they were doing, "Peter how many multimillionaires do you know?" 

"Hmm?" Peter hummed. 

"I did a background check on all of you. I just happened to find that Danny there is the head of Rand Industries at seventeen. So how many multimillionaires do you know?" 

"Three then. Danny, I completely forgot you were the CEO of Rand Industries."

"You know me and you work with me. I am just as human as the rest of you," Danny stated.

"What other multimillionaire do you know?" Tony asked. 

"Harry Osborn. We aren't necessarily on the best terms at the moment but I do know him." 

"How do you happen to know two other multimillionaires?" 

"Harry I met through my parents' work at Oscorp. Danny, I met through my work." 

"What exactly do you do because F.R.I.D.A.Y couldn't decrypt your files." 

Peter and Ava subtly high-fived. Out of all the teens they were the two most adept at coding. They set up their S.H.I.E.L.D files so that the encryptions changed every thirty seconds. If you didn't have authorized access (Fury, Coulson, Hill, Nat, Clint, or the Ultimates*) you wouldn't be able to figure out the encryptions. Fury had specifically assigned that task to the two teens. 

The teens couldn't seem to agree on an answer which made Tony more suspicious but when they came up with an answer it was surprisingly good. 

"We all intern at a company that's home base- as of right now- is in New Jersey," Peter hurriedly said. 

"What company?" 

"It is a radio station. It's on a secret channel though." 

"I'll accept that for now," A still skeptical Tony told the teens, "But how did you," Tony pointed at Danny, "end up working for this 'radio station'?" 

"I wanted to do something like a normal teenager for a few years before I became of legal age," Danny nonchalantly replied. Tony accepted the answer because he had handed off Stark Industries to Stane for a while before taking over when his parents died. 

Tony's questions were answered for now he headed towards the elevator. Before the elevator closed though he thought he heard Luke say, "Peter you should get that checked out." 

Peter waved off Luke's concern by saying, "It tis but a scratch." 

Tony was left to mull over the answers the teens gave him and those last few words he heard. 

~With the Ultimates when Peter came back from patrol.~

Peter swung through the open window in the living room where his teammates were waiting for his patrol report. Peter being the self-sacrificing teen he is; tried not to tell his teammates about his stab wound. 

His teammates noticed the second he swung through the window, but had no time to address it as F.R.I.D.A.Y spoke, "PETER YOU SEEM TO BE HURT. WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO ALERT, BOSS?"

"No F.R.I.D.A.Y," Peter said motioning for Ava to get his laptop because she was the closest to it. Ava quickly grabbed it and handed it to Peter who immediately got to work on trying to hack F.R.I.D.A.Y so she didn't alert Tony. 

It seemed to work, but it brought something even worse. Peter heard it first in the silence and rushed to throw some clothes on top of his suit. Each teen grabbed something they were normally doing. Luke claimed one of the TVs while Peter and Sam claimed another to play a game. Ava grabbed her laptop and Danny started meditating. 

Just as they had settled down Tony Stark walked out of the elevator and started asking questions. Somehow they managed to give okay answers. All of the teens though were caught by surprise when Tony mentioned that Danny was technically the CEO of a multimillion dollar company. They had worked with Danny for a while and had forgotten about that little aspect of him. He acted like a normal human being to them. They didn't see anything special about his identity as a multimillionaire. To them, he was just Danny Rand, Iron Fist, and a friend. 

*The Ultimates have access because it is their secret identities. They have access so they can try to protect those identities.
