Decisions

Sqaishey's POV

As I served dinner that night, I pounced on Stampy right away. "Well? Who do you want?"

Stampy looked at me, slightly bemused. "Sqaishey, darling, we have plenty of time to make a decision, don't we? Besides, we can visit the orphanage anytime." "But you said we would shortlist and visit only a couple anytime and-"

He held his hands up in defeat. "Fine. Who do you like, then?" "Who do you like?" I demanded in return.

"Jeff, I guess. He was very friendly. You?" "Summer," I said at once. "Summer?" cried Stampy. "Why?!"

"Well, the way she called me Mom, it's like she already treats us like family." Stampy sat in silence, before saying, "But she has ADHD." "She is no difference from other children," I retorted. Oh Gosh. I sounded like a mother.

Stampy looked a little taken aback by my reaction. "Fine, fine. We can visit Jeff and Summer next weekend. But I am rather unsure about Summer, mind you." He kissed me on the head. "I'm done. I'm going to record Lovely World videos with Lee now." He stood and left the dining room.

Huffily, I called after him, "Be sure to add Summer in the Love Garden. Look at all that stuff she gave you." Stampy nodded. "Yeah, sure."

I sat alone in the dining room. I vowed to myself that whatever happened, I would adopt Summer. I would give her a home. A chance.
