"Suprise!" I hear being shouted from all corners of the house. Inside are my brothers and all the kids from the orphanage. My eyes start to tear when I give Sam and Colby hugs. "Thank you, oh my god!" I say, looking at the balloons and streamers that are hung around the roof. Pairs of little arms swallow me in hugs and I look down to see all the young ones around my legs, I laugh, knealing down to give them hugs back. My eyes are shut but when I open them and look at Sam and Colby, another familiar face is in front of them. Hair much difference to what I last saw. He had a package in his hand and a bunch of flowers in his other hand. They are roses, they are fragile and a beautiful, deep shade of red. I get off my knee and come face to face with Landon. I give him a huge hug. His arms are tight around my waist and mine around his neck. I look into his eyes when we pull apart but I hint to him through my eyes that we cant kiss. He understands and we let go, I give hugs to the guys and slap Brennen in the arm for taking me out during the day. Brennan and I got to know each other more today and we have a friendship that I think I am going to enjoy having. (A/N Im sorry of the people who wanted Brennen and Jules together but they are going to remain friends.) Hazel was here and I was really excited that I got to see everyone again. Landon also invited some of our friends from school and I greet them, giving them welcoming hugs as  music starts playing. I grab a soda and dance around with the little kids.

I then look at Landon talking to Sam and Colby. "Aww wait, I never got to introduce you guys!" I say walking over to them in the kitchen. I give Landon and hug then Sam and Colby, thanking them for organising the party. I walk into the first living room to try and find Aaron and I see the room filt with ball pit balls. "What the heck did you do to the house?" I ask, laughing when I see Aaron,  he is with Elton doing flips into the ball pit. Brennan comes up behind me and grabs my shoulders, scaring me. "did you have to do that?" I ask, the smile cant leave my face no matter what happens. It's going to stay all night and I know it. "Thank you Brennen." I say again. "All good! I had a lot of fun, you should come with Colby and I when we go exploring!" He says excitedly. I giggle with a nod of myhead. "I would love that." I then find Sam and Colby behind me. "Jules, we have your present." Sam says and my eyes go wide. "I already got a present, that was the movie in New Zealand!" I say hesitantly. "We have another for you." Colby says and their hands find their way to my back, the other over my eyes. They lead me to the kitchen before they uncover my eyes. A box sits in front of me and I look at Sam and Colby when the rest of the house comes around the table, with people from the orphanage around the table where they can, Landon beside me with his hand on my shoulder. Devyn is carrying a child in her arms and Corey picked one up and put Jennifer on the table to sit down. Jennifer was the second youngest in the orphanage and she would hang off me all day. I pulled on the black bow off the light blue rapped box. It came off easily and I gently lifted the lid. A soft golden colour came into my eyes. It was small and fragile, gently lifting its head to look at me. Tears came to my eyes when I pulled the soft object into my chest, holding it tight. Her soft eyes meet my wet ones and I pulled her away from my face to get another look at her through my blurry vision. It was a golden retriever puppy and she was as big as my forearm.

I grab onto Sam and Colby with her cradled in my arms. "Thank you." I muffle out of my sobbing voice. I hug every member of the house then Landon because I missed him a lot, I couldn't help it. I held the puppy for the rest of the night, trying to think of a name for her. I walk into the game room with Landon and the Puppy and we sit down while catching up. "How have you been?" I ask him and he gives me a kind smile. "Good! Im slowly moving into the new apartment, its weird because I don't have to look after little kids anymore like we did at the orphanage." I nod my head and laugh. "Im the same." We discuss names for the puppy when I hear Aaron's voice boom over the speaker. "This is one of my favourite songs from my favourite singers so I hope you enjoy it like I do." 'I wrote a song' starts playing and I laugh that I got him to like the song when the person starts singing, my eyes go wide and I look towards the ball pit room. I then look back at Landon. "Come on, I can tell you like this song." Landon says whilst getting up and pulling me towards the room. What I hadn't realised is that they had the projector down and the video playing. My face was on the screen and I was singing. "Jules, is that you?" Colby asks, Sam also made his way behind me. I nod my head, not taking my eyes off the video. "Jules, your so good!" Landon says and I blush as his hand meets my back. Brennnen comes into the room without looking at the projector screen. "Aaron, what song is this? I actually really..." He stops when he finally looks up at the projector screen. "Jules..." he says and watches the screen with amazement but otherwise, I cant read his expression. The song ends and Sam and Colby look at me. "Jules... Im so confused. Why is it that your so good at everything?" Sam asks. I giggle of embarrassment while blushing. "There are many things I cant do, trust me." I manage to get out. "Jules, why have we never heard you sing?" Colby asks meaninfully. "because I don't sing a lot, only lullabies to the toddlers and to this one when he made me." I say, punching Landon's arm lightly. He has his goofy smile on and I laugh. That smile that I haven't seen in so long. Not through a phone anyway. There were now many people I didn't even know that were here but I didn't mind, It was cool meeting all these friends of Sam and Colby. "Can we hear some more please, Juliet?" Aaron asks through the speaker. My eyes go wide and I frantically shake my head. Without notice, Landon's hands have slipped under my knees and picked me up bridal style. He plopped me down on the stage and walked off, moving to the back so I could see him standing on the cushions keeping all the balls in and holding the puppy in his arms. Aaron hands me the mic and I look at him with panic. "Juliet, your amazing, you can do this." he said. I have never been an outgoing person. I have always been shy and conserved. "Can you put on 'Too Good At Goodbyes' by Sam Smith please?" I ask Aaron and he nods, putting the music on and I close my eyes, trying desperately to slow down my racing heart beat.

I start singing. When I open my eyes, everyones smiles are bright and beaming up at me. Landon is recording me and I smile at him when he gives me a smile, brighter then anyone else in the room. I blush and continue to sing, losing myself in the music. When I finish, applause echoes though the house. I give a slight smile and walk off stage and give Landon a hug then taking the tiny puppy from his arms. I still couldn't get over how cute she was. I went out to the pool and dipped my feet in with Landon beside me. "Thanks for everything Lan." I say, resting my head on his shoulder. "Should we address the elephant in the room?" I bring up after a few minutes of silence. "We are outside though Jules, how can it be in the room?" He asks and I mock him as he says it. I used to say that all the time and he would say that same thing as a response when we were outside. We laugh and I give him a slight nudge in his shoulder. "Yeah, we probably should." Landon says. The sun has well gone down now, the sky dark but lit up from the moon and the stars. I look to Landon and give him a smile before looking down. "Landon..." I say, not knowing how to approach this. "Landon, I don't really know what to do." I say, being honest. "Me either." He replies, his voice has gone soft and delicate. I sigh, we both don't know how to talk about this. "Juliet, will you be my girlfriend?" The words hit me like bullets, realising that there is more hope and fear then there was the other times Landon asked me out. I stop to think about this and look down. "Yes Landon, I would love that" I say. My cheeks cant help but turn that flustered shade of pink when he puts his arm around me. It feels like we are the only two people in the world. I let the puppy walk around and explore but to far from where I could see her. I put my head back on Landon's shoulder for a bit before I see Kat opening the door. "Sorry guys but Jules, its time for cake." I give her a smile and we get up, Landon grabbing the puppy and walking back inside to meet the others. "Happy birthday" They sing and smile, looking around at all the smiling faces around me, mostly ones I know. I smile at each one individually, showing thankfulness and gratitude. You can never have a plain moment with Sam and Colby and what I didn't know is that couldn't be more true.
