Tessa's POV

I felt nothing but pain as I was pushed down the stairs. It hurt to get up, but I knew if I didn't I wouldn't get food this week. I cried as I ran up the stairs, to my room.

"Tessa! Are you alright?" Asked a voice. "Carrie!" I sobbed, running up to a teenage girl with brown hair, green eyes, and a freckled face. Carrie was like the mom I never had. She picked me up when I fell down, she kisses my owies, she sings to me. She... She loves me.

"Miss Darline, She pushed ... She...." That was all I could manage to say before I burst into tears again.

"Shhhhhh... It's gonna be OK." She told me as she sang to me, rocking me on her lap as I drift off to sleep.

Rachel's POV

I lie awake thinking how lucky Colleen is with her new baby boy, Noah. She is such an awesome sister, and will be an even better mom. He was so sweet, and it made me sad to leave. I love babies, and

have always secretly wanted my own child. WAPOW!! Didn't see that coming did you? But it's true. I try to sleep, but I can't.

~6 months later~

Me and Matt had a talk Earlier and he says its ok if we adopt. I am so exited! Tomorrow we go to the adoption center, and I can't wait.
