Jessica's POV
I stared at the person in front of me. "Ross? Is that you?" I asked. "It's me sis." Ross said. I hugged him. A few tears fell. I pulled back and Ross noticed my tears. "What's wrong?" He asked. "I thought you were dead. I never saw you after.." My voice trailed off. "I know what you mean. I was taking a nap when the gun rang out." Ross said. He looked at the ground. "The first thing that I thought was that you.. died. If I would have known that you were sent to the orphanage, I would've followed you. Jess, I love you. You're the best twin sister ever and you're my only family now." He finally said. I hugged him again and we both cried.
Pat's POV
Jen and I watched the touching interaction between our daughter and her brother. "The orphanage never told us you had a brother." I said. "We were separated from each other after what happened. We both thought the other one died." Jessica said. Jen pulled me aside. "Pat. We can't separate them again. He said he has no home. They might send him away." She said. I turned to Ross. "Why don't you come with us?" I asked. "Really?" Jessica asked. "Wait. I'm stuck in a boys home. I was on a field trip." Ross said. The owner came over and we talked. In the end, he agreed to let us adopt him. He turned to Ross. "We'll bring your stuff to your house." He said. Ross came over to us. "Thank you guys." He said. Jessica came over and we left. With a new member of the family.
