The next morning
Ross' POV
I woke up early and got ready. Jessica was already awake. After she hugged me, we ate breakfast and brushed our teeth. Pat gave us a ride to school. As soon as we got out, some kids ran over to Jessica. She introduced me and they accepted me into their group. Suddenly I saw someone punching my sister. I ran to a teacher and the girl got yelled at. I hugged her.
Jessica's POV
I was tired of the girl. Thankfully, my brother has my back. Suddenly I saw someone else. Someone way too familiar. The color drained from my face. "Oh no." I said. Sure enough, the killer of my dad was on school property. "I thought the police would've gotten him." I said. He grabbed Ross and hit him over the head. "Ross! No!" I yelled. Some of his friends came over. I tried to run to him but someone grabbed me. He covered my mouth. Ross was taken to the nurse. I felt something cover my nose and soon I blacked out.
When I woke up, I was tied up. I began crying. The ropes were driving into my wrists. I was on my knees, tied to a pole. The door opened and the guy walked in. "Please. Don't hurt me. I don't wanna die." I said. Why did I just say that? "That's a great idea." He said. He pulled out a pill. I clamped my mouth shut. "Oh come on. One pill won't kill you." He said. I shook my head. He stood up and stole my phone. He dialed Pat's number. I began tugging at the ropes. "Hello?" Pat answered. I screamed as loud as I could. "He's alive! He has me kidnapped and wants to kill me!" I screamed. The guy put tape over my mouth. "Be here in two hours. If you're not here by then, I will end her. Don't call the police, either." He said. I bit the tape off. He hung up the phone and put another piece of tape over my mouth. Then he added a second piece. He untied me from behind. He picked me up and turned me so I was facing the pole. He pushed me towards the pole to the point that I was wrapped around it. He chained my wrists. Soon I heard a click. I moved my head to see Pat and Jen. And Pat was holding a gun.
