Poison In Me

"Well, your ears and tail for one. You may be good at hiding it from the humans, but we can see them very clearly." Nate pointed out the obvious, and for once I had actually forgotten my ears and tail were there.

"Oh, good point." I smiled.

"Plus, we're wolves. We can sense other wolves y'know?" Matpat exclaimed.

"True... Okay then... You have fair points, no more questions need to be asked." When I looked back at them, it seemed like all of the tention had dropped and their shoulders had sunken back to their usual selves.

...
I don't remember much after that, I just went to bed and that sort of was it...

Once I woke up, I managed to stumble out of my bedroom and out into the living room... I tried to not make a noise incase the others were asleep...

I could feel a presence behind me, so before they could touch me, I swiftly turned around, and clawed the person...

"Ow!" Nate looked at his arm and then looked back at me...

I scratched my neck as I knew I was guilty.
I didn't know it was Nate, okay? Look, people coming behind me is very scary to me. I don't like to face my back to anyone...

"Yeesh, kid. You've got some proper senses." Nate laughed and Mat chuckled.

"You see Nate? That's why I chose you for the job." Mat laughed even more. Nate glared at Mat, but then turned back to me.

"Can I cover your eyes? Don't question it."

"What is this about?" I asked.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO QUESTION IT!"

"Fine." I let Nate cover my eyes and let him lead me to where ever it was that he wanted me to go...

I couldn't navigate well, but by the noises I was hearing, I could tell I ended up in a bedroom... There was another figure in this place...

Nate lifted his hands away from my eyes, and what was presented to me was quite amazing...

A brown husky that had more golden fur than brown, ran up to me. I opened my arms, and the dog ran straight into them. I could already sense the friendship within this creature and I...

"We're going to be best friends, you and I. I know it." I hugged the large dog.

"Does he have a name?" I looked up to Nate and Mat.

They both shook their heads, "You give him a name!" Mat exclaimed.

"Hmm, okay. I'll name you... Eclipse. Yes, Eclipse seems like it would fit a creature like you."

That was how my best friend Eclipse came into my life.

Eclipse followed me around everywhere; wherever I was, Eclipse was there too. We were inseparable. Eclipse had my back, and I had his.
We would forever have this friendship and understandment of each other...

One day, I had asked about Nate and Mat's wolf forms... They had agreed to show me their forms during the full moon, which was tonight! I was so excited. They had hidden any possible backstoryish or wolf things from me, so tonight my theories would either be confirmed or debunked.

I entered their backyard, which lead into the forest, and Nate and Mat were already right there... They were just standing there. Waiting.

Eclipse was right by my side as I made my way towards them. Once I got close enough, I looked at them.

Mat looked to Nate, and Nate nodded. Within a bright light, they transformed.

Nate was mainly a pure black wolf with blue eyes. He had some white marks here and there, but that was about it.

Mat was a pure brown wolf.

Eclipse wasn't scared a bit, and neither was I. I was starstruck.

Mat and Nate turned to me, "Now it's your turn."
