Max's POV

We were running, far away from the monsters that were once our friends. Alex and I were the only ones to survive the attack. Running, running, running.

I saw a car, "Alex look" I said.

"Let us hope it works" he talked quietly.

We got into the car and I found a key in the glove box. I tried starting it and it worked!
I drove off quickly, relieved that we wouldn't have to worry for a bit.

Night

We had parked on the edge of some woods and had a fire going. We were snuggled together under a tree.

"Where are we going to go?" Alex questioned.

I thought for a second,  "to the coast. We can find a nice beach house and we will live there." I said, smiling a little.

A few minutes later we were both consumed by sleep.
