Two days until prom.

"Morning, dad."
I say going into the kitchen, and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Morning, princess. Hey, I heard Paul finally asked Piper out, ya?"

Daniel asks. I hear a loud groan from Piper as she comes into the kitchen.

"How do you know everything before I tell you?" She whines as she opens the fridge.

Daniel chuckles and shrugs.

"Maybe it's because you screamed to Norabella for five minutes about how happy you are. So I took a shot in the dark"
Daniel chuckles as sips his coffee.

"Where's daddy?" I ask looking into the fridge with Piper.

"Upstairs. Gaming with Stacy"
He says as his eyes are on his phone.

"When will he ever not do videos? It's been like over 10 years"
Piper asks as she takes out a frozen Bannana from the freezer.

"Girl, I don't even know"
Daniel sighs. I end up just grabbing an apple.

"I'm gonna head to school, now"
I say taking a bite of my apple and grabbing my bag, resting the strap on my shoulder.

"But we have like, 15 minutes till we have to leave. Why're you leaving now?"
Piper asks me.

"I wanna take a walk" I say.

"Don't do anything stupid, and no talking to strangers!"
Daniel yells after me as I open the door. I chuckle and nod.

I think I'll go to the park. Joey and Daniel used to take me there like every other day growing up.

It's beautiful. The sun that's rising up hits perfectly on all the trees, picnic tables, mini gardens along the sidewalks and so much more.

I feel like I can just relax here.

I need a closer look. I subtly continue walking. As I walk past their bench, I walk a fair distended away so unless they were looking closely, they couldn't see me, but I can see them.
