Chapter 81 - A Party

Williams Point of View:

It was Sunday night, crap, that means I have school tomorrow. Ugh, I never finished Mrs. Haymers algebra packet. My dad was in Chicago, on business, and my mom should be home in 20 minutes, from work. They were alway gone. My phone buzzed on the table next to me.

(So, I'm on a cruise to the Caribbean!!)

It was Abigail, I knew she was on vacation, but to the Caribbean? Dang it, I want to go on a cruise, I could use a cruise right now.

(Seriously?!)

(Yep. We're having dinner at the Captains table tonight too!)

Lucky ducky

(Well well well, that's exciting.)

(And, I made a friend today.)

(See! I told you you could do it! You just need to start up a conversation! Good job babe!)

I swear, I have the most introverted girlfriend, it's adorable.

(Well, actually I already sorta knew him, and he started the conversation.)

He? Alright, ok, well then. It's not that I'm not ok with her having guy friends, it's just, she doesn't really have good luck with guy friends.

(He?)

(Yes he.)

(What does this 'he' look like?)

(Normal, he looks normal, don't worry we're just friends.)

That's what she thinks. No guy wants to be 'just friends' with someone who looks like my girlfriend.

(Alright, just making sure)

(I should go now, it's getting close to dinner time)

(Bye)

I texted her my goodbye.

(Bye)

I saw her text flash up on my screen as I set the phone back down. It was about 5, I guess I should do Mrs. Haymers homework now.

I was working on my homework, when my phone buzzed again, I picked it up.

(Hey, party at Deans house tonight, his parents are out.)

I groaned.

(Who throws a party on a Sunday night?)

(Like I said, Dean, come on!!)

Yeah, nope. Sunday night party, not my thing,

I had just returned to my homework when my phone rang again. I picked up.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hello, is this William J Hoffman?" A female voice asked.

"Um, yeah, why?" I was a bit nervous, I mean, they don't use your full name unless there's a problem.

"I'm so sorry, but, um, there was an accident on Lafayette and Worth, and, well, your mother died. I'm so sorry, we've already contacted your father, he's on his way back from Chicago..." She kept talking, but I hung up. My mind was absurdly clouded, but I was conscious of the vase that I had just chucked into the wall.

I was on a rampage, screaming, I don't understand why I was angry, but I pretty much wrecked the house before I picked my phone back up, my dad had tried to call, I can't do that right now. I opened my phone and texted my friend.

(Deans house, right?)

(Sweet! Yeah.)

With that, I shoved my phone in my pocket, grabbed my keys and drove to my friend Deans house. They say don't drive angry, but I didn't care, if I died, at least I'd be with her. I pulled up in front of Deans house, and angrily stomped in.

There was a lot of yelling, a lot of people, it was dark, loud and music was blaring. Perfect. I immediately went into the kitchen, wow, I think Abigail's rubbing off on me, that's not a bad thing, I could really use that.

I downed an entire cup of some kind of alcohol in one gulp, then started chocking on it. I never drank, that was the first time. People say it makes you forget what's going on, my mom just died. I need to forget what's going on right now. So much for being like my perfect, never did anything wrong girlfriend. I hope she's having a good dinner, crap I hope she's eating dinner. I should call her. No, she's at the captains table, after dinner, I'll do it after dinner.

I got a second drink, and sat up on the counter, let's be honest, I wasn't here to have a good time. I swallowed about half of this drink before my friend Lake showed up.

"Hey, you made it, woah, you ok dude?" He asked, referring to the angry grimace I was wearing.

"Yep." I said, swallowing the second half of my drink.

"Alright. Whatever you say, hey, come on, have some fun." He motioned to the living room, which was flooded with teens.

"Ok, where can I get, like, a bottle of this stuff?" I asked, my mind was not nearly clogged enough.

"Dang dude." Lake handed me a bottle, "did Abigail dump you? Because you're pretty, you know, on edge, and you know, you're drinking, and, nothing against her of course, she's just, kinda a goody two shoes." That was true. She was, that's one of my favorite things about her though.

"No, thank goodness, I couldn't handle that." I laughed to myself, "she's on vacation with her family."

"Oh, cool." He nodded., "now come on." He pulled me into the living room.

About an hour later, I was completely wasted, and everything that was happening was all a big blur. I was leaning up against a wall watching everyone at the party, when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Hi." I looked down and there was a girl with long blonde hair next to me. "I'm Sarah." She smiled.

"William." I responded gruffly. "What do you want?" I asked.

"Nothing." She said, walking around to stand in front of me

"Alright, then, I'm going to go." I moved to the side, this chick was creeping me out.

"Why? It's a party lets have fun." She wrapped her arms around my neck, and kissed me.

"Um, Sarah," I pulled away a little. "Let's not do this." I started to step away.

"Why not?" She pouted a bit.

"I have a girlfriend." I said.

"Alright then. Then what's pissing you off?" She asked.

"Nothing." I responded.

"Something definitely is." She started to pull me towards the kitchen.

"Yeah, and it's none of your business."

"I know I know." She handed me another bottle of the drink, whatever it was.

"Thanks." I said, gulping part of it down.

Before I could really comprehend what was going on, she started to kiss me again, her back was up against the kitchen wall, her arms around my neck again. Suddenly, she jumped up on my waist, and that jolted me a bit, immediately I grabbed her thighs to stop her from falling.

"There you go." She said, "now you're enjoying yourself." She scooted up, making it so I was holding her butt, rather than her thighs.

"Cut it out." I said, pushing her off of me. I spun around and headed out, getting in my car. I was at home when I heard my phone buzz, I picked it up.

(Be proud of her, she ate an entire bowl of pasta tonight.)

With that, Lin sent me a picture of her eating. Her hair framed her face, and she was wearing a pink dress, she was smiling to herself as she was eating. It was freaking adorable. Crap. I cheated on her. Holy crap, oh my gosh, she doesn't deserve this, she can't know. This will kill her. She already thinks we don't actually care about her, I do. I swear I do, I just, she's perfect and I love her so much.

I punched the pillow next to me on my bed, then collapsed. I started crying, I couldn't stop. Everything in my life just collapsed. I screwed up and I lost my mom, and I might lose my girlfriend, the only person in my life that I can constantly count on.

Sorry this is late, I'm in Disneyland, we get back to our hotel at like 11:30 every night and have to wake up at 6:00... Ugh.

So, anyways, I have a chapter idea in mind, and I need usernames. So, I will be making some up, but if you want your username to be in a chapter, just comment on this that you want your name to be in it. Thanks!

Thanks for reading
