chapter six
Jordan's POV
When I came around again, I felt dizzy. I couldn't move. Then I realized that I was tied up. The door opened and the guy walked in. I tugged as hard as I could at the ropes that bound me. He slapped me across the face. "You'll never escape from the ropes and if you do escape, the door will be locked." He said. I looked down. "What did I do?" I asked. "Lexi was my sister's adopted daughter. But then she leaves for a stupid girls home and then you come around and steal her." He said. "I adopted her. I have the paperwork to prove it." I said.
Just then I heard the door open. Lexi stepped in. "Hello Jordan. Thanks for adopting me but you can't be my dad if you're not with me." She said. She stepped aside and there were three police officers. I grinned.
Lexi's POV
I went towards Jordan. I knew the guy. He pulled out a gun and held it at Jordan's head. "Take another step and I pull the trigger." He said. The officer next to me handed me his gun. "You attempt to shoot my father and I will make sure you rot in jail." I said. He moved his fingers to the trigger. I moved my fingers on the trigger. I aimed down and pulled the trigger. He screamed and dropped his gun. I handed the gun back to the officer and ran to Jordan. I untied the ropes from him. "Where did you shoot him?" Jordan asked. "In the leg. That way he'll drop the gun and the cops can get him. I turned to the officers. One ran to him and cuffed him. Jordan gave me a hug. We left and headed home. Jordan made a few stops on the way and wouldn't tell me why. I didn't mind though.
Jordan's POV
After we got home, Lexi was glad that I was okay. She fell asleep. I looked at the time. It was only eleven thirty in the morning. I decided to keep her home from school. I set up a new computer for Lexi. After I was finished, I decided that I made the best choice to adopt her. And I would never let her go.
