Six days later
Lexi's POV
I woke up early on Monday to get ready for school. It was my first day back to school since Jordan's kidnapping. Thankfully he's doing okay. He is focused on the positive things in his life such as his youtube channel and, of course, me. I quickly showered and got dressed and headed downstairs. Jordan smiled at me and gave me a plate of pancakes. I ate them and brushed my teeth. I'm worried about messing up and making him mad. He keeps saying that I don't have anything to worry about but I'm still worried that something will happen. "Lexi?" Jordan asked. "Yeah?" I asked. "Are you going to walk to school or am I giving you a ride?" He asked. "Sorry." I said. I grabbed my backpack and he gave me a ride. When I got out, I noticed Ari. I ran to her and gave her a hug. "I missed you so much." I said. "I missed you too." Ari said. She looked down. "How's captainsparklez doing?" She asked. "He's doing better. He doesn't think about it. He's just focusing on his channel and on me." I said. "That's good." Anna said, coming up to us. We headed to math.
Skip to lunch
I was grabbing my lunch bag from my locker when Ari came over to me. "Wanna sit with me and my sister at lunch?" She asked. "Sure." I said. I followed her into the cafeteria. We sat down and soon Anna came over to us. "So. Why did you end up in the girls home?" Anna asked. I looked down. "Ignore her." Ari said. "No. It's fine. It's just that." I took a deep breath. "I lost my parents when I was little. After awhile, someone adopted me but were beating me. They died and they sent me back to the girls home. To make things worse, the guy who took Jordan was my adopted mom's brother." I said. "I didn't know." Ari said. "It's fine. I don't think of it that much." I said. A few tears fell. "Great job, Anna. You made her cry." Ari said. "Sorry Lexi." Anna said. I dried my eyes. "No worries. It's fine." I said. Just then the bell rang.
After school, I was outside waiting for Jordan. I looked at the time. It was almost three thirty. It began raining. I started to walk home. I was a couple blocks past the school when a car stopped. Someone got out. "Get in." He said. I knew it wasn't Jordan. I shook my head. I took off running. When I got home, the door was locked. I pounded on the door. The guys caught up with me. I fell to the ground. Someone lifted me up. I thrashed in their arms. "Jordan help!" I yelled. "Lexi!" I heard Jordan yell. The guy dropped me. Jordan ran to me and hugged me. I began sobbing. "Why does everything bad happen to me?" I asked. "I don't know." Jordan said.
Jordan's POV
I picked Lexi up and carried her inside. Her eyes were red. I couldn't stand it. My daughter almost got kidnapped. Suddenly I felt like I wasn't ready to tackle parenting.
