Riley's POV

I'm in my room blasting sleeping with sirens 100% volume while screaming and jumping around to it while laughing and then the ward mother slams the door open "turn this crap down!" She exclaims and I pause it and I glare at her "fuckin make me bitch" I spit with venom and she flinches "yeah think you can be a bitch to me? Yeah think again slut" I growl "now piss off before I make you wish your mom kept her legs shut" I snarl and she flinches and runs out and I shut and lock the door and I turn my music on.

so its been about 5 months since I've been here and not alots happened, I'm still sneaking out, shoplifting and stealing but its not my fault when the cunts that run this place don't feed me and I'm not with any of my gang members nor friends are here either

But today is the day where everyone has to go out to get adopted but im not gonna go out I dont need a family I'm fine on my own, thats how its been since I was two so I'll be fine now

I've changed a lot since I first came here, I used to have snow white hair
with the half shaved head thing with long hair on the other side, now I have the typical emo cut and its bright blue its really awesome and I have a septum piercing, a lip piercing and snake bites to.

And I hear squealing and giggling from all the preppy slutty girls getting ready for whoever the fuck it is coming to adopt them and I just blare all time low dirty work again 100% volume and I sing and dance around.

Alex's POV

I walk Into the adoption center and I see loads of girl wearing little to fuckin nothing and I gag and I hear our music blaring from somewhere and I walk to the woman running this "who's blaring the music?" I ask with a smile "thats Riley, she's a bad kid trust me, she's been sent to juvie for trying to rob a store, she used to be in a gang before she came here" she explains "can I meet her?" I ask "no, no, no you dont want to, she's swears, she's unfriendly and she's emo and has issues" she says "I want to meet her" I say "no you dont, its better if you take one of the girls here" she says

Ok this bitch is really pissing me off "I want to meet her" I say calmly and she sighs "fine, but dont say I didnt warn you, and I suggest you call her red unless you have a death wish" she says as she leads me up the stairs to a door where the music is blasting out and she Knocks on the door and the music pauses

"Red? Come out!" She says "FUCK OFF!" A voice says and I smile I love her already "C'MON! RILEY SOMEONE WANTS TO MEET YOU!" The woman who I believe is called hazel yells "THEN THEY CAN FUCK OFF TO!" The voice yells and I crack a smile

"let me try, hey red? Can you come out real quick?" I ask as I knock of the door and it opens and I see a girl who has the typical emo cut which is bright blue with along with piercings in her septum, lip and snake bites (at the top) "what The fuck do you want hazel?" She snaps with sass and I smile "hi red, I'm alex" I say and she looks at me and her eyes widen "uh hi, I'm Riley but if you dont wanna die I suggest you call me blue" she says "I thought it was red?" I ask and she looks confused abd shakes her head no

I crack a smile and she smirks back and she looks at hazel and scowls "why you still here bitch? Scram!" She growls and hazel flinches and walks away and I chuckle "oops she left her purse" blue says while dangling it in her hands

"what? How?" I ask confused "when you've lived on the streets since you were two you tend to learn a lot of things" she says with a smirk "soooo you steal for a living?" I ask "its not like I have a choice, in this shit whole you have to steal to stay alive" she says

"Really?" I ask "yep, my best friend Nikki who was my partner in crime literally, staved to death a couple months ago cuz she didnt steal enough food to stay alive, she gave it all to the little kids, ya know the toddlers" she says "yeah, I'm so sorry" I say

she looks up at me "its not your fault, and I'm good on food, I'm the best pickpocket in this place, I steal food for all the kids if hazel doesn't feed them" she says "so its either steal or die?" I ask as I sit on the floor and she sits with me

"basically, as soon as you get here, you need to learn the basics to stay alive" she says "so is food all you steal?" I ask and she giggles "nope, I have so much jewelry from the people who come here to adopt, selling that shit makes fuck loads of money" she says proudly

"And what do you do with that money?" I ask "I mostly go out and buy food for the kids who are to scared to steal, and I buy stuff for my guitar" she says "buuuuut I mostly steal stuff, I dont like doing it but if its to survive then its worth it" she says and shrugs

Riley's POV

While talking to alex jazzy the biggest slut here comes up to us and I stand up and alex looks at her "what the fuck do you want?" I snarl and she collapses and I catch her "whoa, dont tell me hazel hasn't fed you" I say "I'm sorry, I didnt steal" she mumbles "alex! Get the food in my room, NOW!" I yell

He gets up and runs in "hey jazz you have to hold tight, dont you dare close those eyes jazz" I say as I cradle her in my arms and alex runs back over "here" he says and gives me the food and water and I give it to her and I help her eat it and I help her take a drink

"Next time she does that tell me!" I scold "sorry" she mumbles "its fine, I have shit loads and shit loads of food and drink in my room, if any of the other girls are like this there welcome to get some" I say

"Thank you" she mumbles "nah dont mention it" I say as I help her up and she walks around "thanks blue" she says and I salute her and she smiles and walks down the stairs and I stand up

"You ok?" Alex asks and I growl "I'm so fuckin sick of hazel, first she starves me and Nikki, then the smaller kids and now the other girls! Imma teach her to fuckin cross me again" I snarl as I walk down the stairs

Once I get down hazel looks at me with fear written all over her face and I walk up to her and I grab her coller and I bunch it up "IM SO FUCKIN SICK AND TIRED OF YOU! HOW DARE YOU STARVE US! YOU CAN STARVE ME ALL YOU LIKE, ILL JUST STEAL, BUT THE OTHER GIRLS? HOW FUCKIN DARE YOU?!" I scream

"I'm sorry" she sobs and I let her go "you fuckin should be, now if you dont start to feed the girls properly, then in the morning you won't be running things anymore, got it?" I snap and she nods "good" I growl an I walk back to alex "sorry bout that" I say

He smiles at me and I look at him confusedly "so how would you like to have a proper family?" He asks and I scoff "I dont need one, I'm fine by myself dude" I say as I lean on the wall and he frowns "will you give it a go?" He asks "I mean it would be pretty rad to have a family and all, but I'm sort of a girl who pushes people away ya know?" I ask

"Yeah I get it" he says "the problem I have with having a family, is that my parents and big brother left me to fend for myself" I say and he puts his hand on my shoulder and I put my hand on his and I sigh "I just can't deal with the loss" I say

Alex's POV

This girl, she's so sweet yet sassy at the same time "and plus, most of the people who want to adopt someone think of me as a criminal just cuz I steal" she says and I pull her into a hug and she hesitantly hugs back and sighs "I dont think of you as a criminal" I say

She looks up at me "really?" She asks "yeah, you only do the stuff you do to stay alive, and thats Nothin to be sorry for" I say and she smiles and nudges my arm "your a pretty cool dude, not gonna lie" she says with a smile

"And your a pretty awesome chick" I say as I nudge her arm back "look, if you are gonna adopt me, call me Riley, and think yourself lucky, I NEVER let people call me by my real name" she says and I smile and she grins back

"Will do Riley" I say and she smiles, not a grin nor a smirk just a warm smile and I smile back and we walk down and I walk to hazel "I'm ready to sign the papers" I say and she looks shocked "you actually want to adopt her?" She asks shocked

"Problem?" Riley hisses "n-no miss" hazel says and hands me the papers "thats what I thought" Riley says and I smile and sign everything "c'mon, do you need to pack?" I ask

"No, its all just food, let me tell the girls real quick" she says and I nod and she walks off

Riley's POV

I walk from alex and I round all the girls up "right, there's food in my room that'll last you all 5 years if you only have two snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner, after its gone your on your own ok?" I say "thank you, it really means alot" jazzy says and I nod "just dont eat to much of it and it'll last" I say and they all nod

"Ok I have to go, if you need me, you know where I am" I say and they all nod and I walk back to alex "hazel, if you even think about going in my room, I'll hunt you down got it? I have eyes everywhere" I threaten and she nods "good, lets go alex" I say and he nods and walks out with me

"Riley, just so you know, I live with-" I cut him off "jack barakat, Zack metric and Dian Dawson, I know" I say and he looks surprised but smiles and I grin at him "wow, so how do you know?" He asks

"If you didn't hear, I was blasting dirty laundry through my speakers before I paused it" I say and he chuckles "yes you did" he says "you like blink?" I ask "there my favorite!" He exclaims and I gasp "me to!" I say and he smiles and puts it on and we dance and sing along to it all the way home

Once we pull up the house is fuckin massive "this is the biggest house I've ever fuckin seen" I say say he chuckles and puts his arm over my shoulder and I chuckle as we walk in and as soon as we do jack runs over

"OH MY GGOD ALEX!!! wait who's this?" He asks lookin at me "I'm riley, but if you dont wanna die I suggest you call me blue" I say "really? What's a small girl like you gonna do?" Dian asks and I glare at him "guys she used to be in a gang" alex says

I smirk as I pull jacks wallet out my pocket "dont underestimate me Dawson" I say as their eyes widen and I giggle "how'd you do that?" Jack asks in wonder as I smile "I'll teach you one day" I say and he smiles "I love her already" jack says and I smile "your not to bad yourself kid" I say and he laughs

"Ok, I need to learn not to underestimate you" rian mumbles and I smile "yep, I was a street kid for about 12 years, so ya know, I know a couple things" I say and Zack, Dian and jacks eyes widen "what?" I ask confused

Aaaaaaaaaand jack hugs me again "uh" I say "you poor child!" he exclaims and I smile "eh, it wasn't all bad, yeah I had a few fights here and there, but that's all, a couple pervs but I easlily sorted them out" I say as if it were Nothin

And then alex hugs me "your an awesome kid if you sorted grown men out" alex says and I shrug "its not hard really" I say and they all look at me "I can't even take jack on when he's drunk let alone sober, how do you do it?" Alex asks and jack looks at him with fake hurt and I giggle

"Well, all you gotta do is kick them
as hard as you can in the knee, jump over their back then push them to the Ground then stamp as hard as you can on their balls" I explain "ok remind me never to make the kid mad" Zack mumbles and I chuckle

Looks like this isn't gonna be so bad after all
